The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

That's a brave and impressive effort, I only managed about 3.0649 seconds before giving in and mortgaging the hovel! 😉
MAD is one of the only businesses (not just in this space but in general) that has earned my complete loyalty and "take my money" applies to. I saw the email for the preorder, had no knowledge of the device and immediately ordered without a second thought.

I'm continually impressed with Brenyo's engagement, transparency, quality, and innovation!

Yeah, I've already done the arse-licking bit, but just to add, this is the first time I've ever committed to buying something solely based on the rep, and it's pre-sale to boot! (I'm not the most patient of people!).
I can't think of another company I'd trust to that degree (which isn't a criticism of others, just my vision of a company I know are doing it 'just right' (or even a bit better!)).

Will I be able to buy just the stem, when the full release happens?
Yes, from what I understand, the whole slate of V2 accessories will be available at general release.

What I'm not personally clear on is what of the V1 accessories will be available outside of the v1 upgrade kit. (hope the V1 cooling until will be available again)

Gen1 cooling unit is done now. The new one is more similar to simrell etc, I think...

As far as accessories go, I'm sure they'll be keeping gen 1 spares for as long as possible, but I doubt anything new will come out as the design has been replaced. Too expensive to continually make spares for old and new models alike, that could get more expensive in today's climate.

The upgrade kit should sort any issues with spares though. If you get that, your old parts will be fine for spares, or don't use the kit unless you need to.

Didn't @Brenyo say there would be a new batch of Tempest v1's in the summer this year?
Has that changed? Has the v2 replaced that intention? (if so I would presume spares for v1 would still be in the plan?)

Seems illogical to create a new device, and make the old one along with it to me.

Might be mistaken but I thought the reasons behind the changes were costs, to make it cheaper and more affordable, to get it into more hands because more can be produced.

Same with spares, I'm sure he has plenty spares for the gen 1 already, will have for a while, but there will come a time when they're not available.
I wouldn't class the cooling unit as a spare, I mean click discs, vi coils, screens, the top screw etc.

There is an upgrade kit for the gen1 coming at the launch of the 2 in June, is that what your thinking of?

I might have missed something stating or suggesting otherwise though, I try to keep up to date on the thread, but at time there are bursts of comments and I may well have missed some.
I normally do my reading at night, best time for me to potentially miss something

my understanding was the version of the summer batch of tempests was never really specified. I was always wondering if there would be some improvements in the summer batch. I feel lke only within the last month has that batch been tagged as tempest 2's

@Brenyo Are there any plans for dosing caps made to fit the bigger V2 bowls?
i thought someone had asked about dosing caps for the v1 and heard that it wasn't a priority

I didn’t specify if it’s V1 or V2 :)

Screens, screw, spring, click discs, induction sleeve and indicator housing will be available for at least a few more years. No other old parts will be made that’s not available now, because I can only order thousands at a time.

10mm diameter X 10-12mm height dosing caps should fit. I haven’t tried it myself, though.

I'm the same way. A stoner friend (who uses the MH revolve) asked me if I was getting the Tempest V2 and I was like "oh absolutely."

There's a degree of trust that MH has earned, both in terms of design/innovation and values/approach. It's nice to see.

After ten years of trying, I finally persuaded a friend to trade dabs and smoking for the Tempest. He has used every device in my collection from my Pax and Mighty to my best ball vapes but the Tempest is the one that won him over. He was so impressed that he placed a pre‑order on the spot. I genuinely believe this could be the device that moves more smokers to vaping.

Will you be able to shut off airflow completely in the V2 stem, like the V1?

Same for me pretty much. I first approached vaping from the portable electronic side of the market, gravitating to a TM2 in the end, which is a fine vape, but still wasn't quite hitting the mark, an early foray into the DV showed something more engaging but far too weedy and difficult to use (for me) and terrible airflow (I have copd so need a clear flow through, little restriction) so never got into it.
Desktop ball vapes were a huge step forward, but in the end, a bit too good for a daily driver, and too easy to bang that tolerance up so high I couldn't have afforded another vape! 😉

But when the Tempest turned up, and the TA3 around the same time, that's when I knew I'd hit the bullseye in terms of the type of vape I like best, but also the one's of that type that really tick all my boxes (or as many as I could fairly expect (plus a few more! 🙂)).
And MH's design, execution and customer service are second to none of those I've experienced and/or read user comments about.

The attention to detail seems to run through pretty much ever part of the business, from the actual products to the comm's here on FC and all in between. Brenyo seems to be one of those people who make sure they do the best possible job when picking up anything new.

@Brenyo - was that good enough for my free Tempest 2? 🤣🤣🤣

Sneaky sod! 😄

[Addendum]: It's now official - I hate Easter! 😒
Four whole days; 96 hours; 5760 minutes; more seconds than I can calculate.
And I'm too subjected to (now the order is in and running), not from VA¹S but rather from VA²S!
That's Vape Anxiety Syndrome on top of Vape Acquisition Syndrome - the symptoms of the latter metamorphosed into the pathology of the former. Doc says it's terminal - when I ask how long I have, he say's I only have three ounces left to live!

So when (to get back to the point, being the opposite of a blunt so in keeping with fucking combustion) I only have such a short time before the end of anything and everything that matters (my stash runs dry) , to discover my 'nado is taking four days off to enjoy the long Easter weekend, sitting in a DHL sorting office, when it's not even a days travel away. Surely they realise that having to wait an extra four days has serious long term health impacts!

Really! It's no laughing matter!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
