I also have to chime in. its been less than a year since I joined the community and started upgrading gear. I have run across small businesses in the space that have customer facing issues that wouldn't fly in other industries. And I'm just happy to get the things from them. MH has been one of the outstanding examples of vendors that I have dealt with in this last year that would excel in any industry. I wish them much success!

Seconded. Quick response times, respect for the customer, amazing products thoughtfully designed and executed. So many businesses in this space think of customer service as an afterthought and act like they’re doing you a favor and giving them money is a privilege. Not so with @Brenyo and MADHeaters, which is why I bought a pre-order v2 without thought as soon as it was available.

I GOT ONE BABY
May have got a bit too excited for this. Seems like they anticipated the demand this time. I'm glad that everyone who wants to get one seems to be able to get one.

In honor of the new Tempest, I would like to tell the story of when I took my V1 to my home country where an ounce of hash cost around $15. Technically it's not hash in the traditional sense there it's referred to as chaars. Originally my plan was to bring some vaping cotton with me wrap up little tiny balls of it, shove it in there and hit it. Completely forgot to bring the cotton and was forced to improvise. Turns out melting it squishing it into a flat sheet, rolling it up in rolling paper and then tearing small balls and wrapping it again worked really well. Luckily, I had very thin rolling paper and it seemed to get saturated by the oils and gave me some good clouds. Still, I think vaping cotton would be better.

Honestly, I feel like we need to plan an FC trip to my home country and everyone brings the vape they think will work best with the hash there and we can finally get to the bottom of what's the best for this. So far the tempest gets my vote, but I've heard the vapman works very well too and same with the BakX. I think a ball vape would work great but power is complete garbage there.

While my religious conversion to Tempestism was relatively late, back in Feb/Mar '24, my take on it back then was only selling after production, and selling out in microseconds (ok, I exaggerate, milliseconds then 😉), I'm wondering if the pre-sale orders are to allow better prediction for numbers to produce? Less risk of us not getting one, less risk of MH over producing? For a company with such a good rep for quality of service (trustworthy) this seems like a good idea, if that's the reason.

that's what I would assume. I can't really reconcile that strategy with delivery before the end of may though. that speaks to either stock in hand or a seriously badass JIT production that I would guess would need a serious financial commitment.

I'd guess it's more because the Full Ti versions are ready (or expected to be ready sooner) and getting the sales done now helps cash flow. I'm sure the numbers help gauge interest, but based on what @Brenyo has said before about how long it takes to get stock replenished, I imagine he has long since placed his orders.

To say that the Ti versions wont be available at launch just suggests to me that Brenyo expects them to sell out before the Aluminium heat shields and final accessories are ready to go.

As a one man band (still?), beyond the R&D, manufacture, QA, running webshops etc etc the logistics of packing, and shipping (hundreds or thousands? Idk) ~LOTS ... of these is impressive, and takes time, particularly when factoring in all the colour combinations and having separate stock for different regions.

More impressive though is how he has maintained this level of communication and service across multiple channels throughout (despite constantly being asked to repeat himself).

yeah, I am guessing the number or ti units has long been ordered and brenyo is taking on the risk that they will not all sell out before launch. The preorder is probably like "order the piece that is currently in a sea shipping container" than "how many should I make"se

EDIT: Can someone remind me of what was included in the tempest v1? I am preparing one of mine to sell and want to make sure I include everything. The MH site just lists the contents of the v2 kit now.

Maybe that's pretty much it (or in part)?
Leveraging what's been learnt from the Mk1? But I wouldn't really know to be honest, just curious how people do things I'm unfamiliar with (or just plain bad at doing).

Ok guys, asking bc it appears there is still stock on the UK website...

My original plan was to wait for a colored aluminum model, bc I like the blue - it's discreet, it's pretty, it looks like *jewelry*. Am I going to miss out on anything by skipping the Ti? ie will the Ti confer any benefit not offered by Al?

Thank you for your advice, I gave myself a big pat on the back for deciding to wait. but now I'm questioning myself again...

I now have a Tornado, Simrell DHV, and Tempest 2 on order. The wife is a little angry. :) I haven't shipped the bank transfer for the Tempest yet, though. I guess I have a few more days before the order is canceled.

I've never used a Tempest. Can anyone give their opinion as to where the Tempest fits in a lineup that includes the Tornado and Simrell? Is the price going up/down after the titanium is sold out? I'm going to pick one up at some point regardless. My wife is on the warpath, but I like the titanium...

My Dovetail stem arrived and its beautiful. Its not a perfect color match to the head but close enough. Going to run my V1 tempest head on it for a few days and see if its just as good as the glass stem Ive been using. If not, Ill just put the CXL head I have coming, on it. Either way it feels great inhand. Love the larger diameter.

I don't believe there are any differences apart from the heat shield material. Apparently the new stem design doesn't transfer heat to the stem as much as the V1, so the aluminium heat shield should perform the same as the Ti

But the Ti is so shiny 🤤

Well I went and bought the Ti edition.

Father forgive me for these clouds I am about to receive... 😤

My V1 came in less than 10 days ago, and then I go and pre order V2.......should I keep my V1 sealed as a collectors item as they're no longer in production?

question for you all with a V1.

I recently noticed that the first disk isn’t clicking or unclicking anymore. The 2nd disk does but it seems like either that first disk is no longer clicking or stuck unclicking. Not so much an issue since I mostly rely on the wand.

But… I like the clicks haha.

You think cleaning the entire head would help?

Nah, crack it open and use it. Plus the two devices have totally different cooling stems, so I think it's worth a try and and see what you prefer.

Not sure how it would get so claggy in there to stop the click disc working but cleaning isn't a bad idea.
Unscrew the indicator housing and have a look inside and see if anything is stuck in there.
