Anyone noticing that the screen is popping off?
On the Fw7 : 5 click and stay on the 5th. I don't know if it's the same code on the FwXjust got the X, how do we change the temp, I heard there’s an unregulated mode?
Marc said the tapered bowl has a 3/8" screen, straight walled 1/2".Do anyone know what the dimensions are for the FATX screen or know of another vape that uses the same size? The default screen just keeps falling out. Unless that is the result of having a tapered bowl?
Some of TM users used to get "silicone pipe caps" of ~16mm ID. They come in all sorts of sizes and are reasonably flexible if you can't find one the exact size. I'm not sure what the OD of the firewood stem, sorry.I’m wondering if anyone know of a “cap” I can use to cover the stem?
I use mine more as a session device with a bowl taking me around 2mins to cash, although I can do it more quickly if need be (like I have with all my fws). It really does feel like an improved 7, with me liking it more than I did the 8. Performs well with a bowl filled to the intakes, or with just enough to cover the screen. Big fan of the window for that first hit. Form factor is grand. The improved heat up time is realllllll nice too. How’s everyone liking their FATX? I find this a joy to carry. Does great with little nugs, very well with bud grind. I vape at 440, hold it past the buzz for about 5-10 more seconds and one hit wonder. The heat up is about 2-4 secs. The size is amazing. I’m wondering if anyone know of a “cap” I can use to cover the stem? The smell isn’t too bad but just wondering
It's what Marc has rebranded it as, it's on the button. F.A.T. == firewood aroma tech. Why is it being referred to as FATX here? Instead of FWX as it has always been FW# before... (What does AT stand for? Aroma therapy? Why make that two letters if firewood is demoted to one letter now lol)

I use mine since only 2 days so this is only my first impressions but i feel a similar positive feeling as you. The form factor is excellent, the elements are right where they should be, the heating is powerful and fast. The small changes compared to the 7 are interesting, I just miss the retractable stem which was a real plus for me. The bowl lid is a bit hard to remove and put back on, I imagine it will soften a little and that I'll get the hang of it.I use mine more as a session device with a bowl taking me around 2mins to cash, although I can do it more quickly if need be (like I have with all my fws). As far as vapour goes, less restriction, faster heat up, pretty similar to the 7-8/9 comparison after that - I feel anything after this is going to come down to personal preference. So those who have the 9 and the 10, how do they compare?

The larger button is a real pleasure. It seems quite solid.
I already like it. A leather case is is on approach...
I had the same thought about the button being more easily pressed involuntarily. This will no doubt be part of my thinking when I design a case.As far as vapour goes, less restriction, faster heat up, pretty similar to the 7-8/9 comparison after that - I feel anything after this is going to come down to personal preference.
Bowl lid loosened up a TONNE for me. The spring needs a good workout and then it's all good. The only real "hate" I have for this vape is the lack of an on/off option. Sure there's the timeout, but that's only going to keep me and the vape safe, it isn't going to help me when I'm out and about and the battery is drained cos it keeps going off in my pocket.
Fuck yes. Gave my fw7 case a bit of the ole beeswax when I oiled the vape the other day. Cos my 7 is/was one of my 2 out and abouts, so having a case that'll help me fulfill that (and it doesn't have to be perfect, I'll take mitigation over perfection any day) will make me very happy indeed.I had the same thought about the button being more easily pressed involuntarily. I gave it a shot with two unrimmed screens. It "works". Took forever (2 whole battery levels) and I think it was mostly convection based on taste and just how long it took to cash, but it did finally get to kinda brown rather than just golden blonde. Did think I'd get *some* conduction but nup.Have a question for the people that have the FAT X, could any of you test to do a capsule in wire mesh and/or a pipe screen and see what the vape outputs? Is it efficient or crap? Asking since capsules just makes my life easier (in my opinion) and Marc stated "fatX is bowl only mode, although a screen style capsule might be possible". So a bit curious!
Read the conversations about capsules on the last pages. The ideal FATX capsule is from Hyperdyn (10.5*9 mm), but how it will work is unknown. I won't find out until a month later...I'm waiting for the missing parts from Mark, and so far I can't send the device to my place in Europe from the warehouse of the mail forwarder.Have a question for the people that have the FAT X, could any of you test to do a capsule in wire mesh and/or a pipe screen and see what the vape outputs? You *think* that's the ideal capsule. I'm not saying it isn't, but I really disagree with you speaking with such conviction when this is untested.Read the conversations about capsules on the last pages. When you plan to please us with your creations, what will the price be?![]()
Of course, theoretically Ideal. I say so because there is no other information. You *think* that's the ideal capsule. I'm not saying it isn't, but I really disagree with you speaking with such conviction when this is untested.
From the correspondence with Mark, I conclude that this is not earlier than in 2 weeks, because he is waiting for the missing parts of the internal storage. But when it appears on the website, I don't think it will be easy to buy it....Probably, as before, it will be sold out in the first few minutes..Anyone knows when the FAT X it will be available on the website?

Unfortunately, no. As I understand it, the product appears on the site on a certain day of the week and at a certain time, I don't remember exactly - this was discussed earlier. I think you need to keep track on this day. Thanks! I’m guessing there’s not a newsletter or something to let me know when it will be in stock, right?
