Probably will not be able to buy one new at this point. But keep an eye on the classifieds page. I sold mine there.

I will wait and see too.

When the 9 came out, there was very little in terms of videos of actual use or even letting us take a good look at it. Finally, some users posted their own videos on Youtube to help others (like me) understand what they were buying. My hope is with the coming release of the X, maybe Marc could make just one video actually showcasing the vape and, dare to ask, maybe even show how to load, use, and unload it.

This pre-sale with nothing more than a few pictures doesn't give me much hope tho. I'm a visual learner, so maybe others don't have this need. For those that get vapes early, please consider posting some vids. (Thank you in advance ;))
I am really hoping that Marc will be interested in sending me a discounted review unit so I can make more videos like I did for the 9. I purchased a 7 and a 9 right away at releases to make these videos, but I don't have the funds to buy one this time.

If not, I'm excited to see what video content other people are able to make!

I've literally never been convinced to buy a vape from a video. 99% of the vape videos are "What's up, it's your boy, Terp Dog! Today I'm going to blast a triple-decker on my Bobby's big boy discount bong!"

They never actually take the time to get to know the device and typically they just get them for free to review positively. And rip videos have never interested me as it's so easy to make a bad vape produce "clouds".

The remaining videos are not helpful to me as they are typically an unboxing video which is not a part of the experience that I need to see.

I had to check to make sure I didn't make this post. Well said.

Video reviews are so annoying. They take 20 mins to tell you what could be said in about 20 seconds. Padded by endless shots of them unboxing, sucking, and terp-coughing. I'm flabergasted that anybody wants to see that shit.

I would be up for doing some proper quality video content in any manufacturers want to send me stuff in post ... only half joking... 😆

They're the video equivalent of a recipe blog site.

I think these are an exception.

I've always enjoyed these and found them super-useful as a newb. They do have a cloudly section but it's separate from the review itself.

This one is a pre-production model with the smaller bowl. Waiting on a separate shipment for the herb chamber. Bowl doesn't pop right out without the spring clip in.. Hmm. Will play with it more after work.

Curious - Is the button stiff and clicky? or mushy like the older models?

edit: really appreciate the sneak peek pics!! putting the firewood version on the button was pretty clever, like it,

Does it have removable cells or does it use custom-made batteries? Can't really figure that part out from your pix.

I would say still mushy, like room for a little tolerance if mashed weird. Pretty similar to the 9 but larger. Bigger button does seem better. Overall the size of the X feels more like holding a Tiny Might or similar.

Where's the herb storage?
Ment to reply to @zatonic
"One of the new features will be internal herb storage, however I am still waiting on 2 parts for that. The batch I am selling now will ship without those 2 parts for now (a base and lid for the storage compartment). I will ship those separately as soon as I get them (should be within a few weeks). The device will still be functional without the herb storage and those parts can be easily added when you get them."

Every Terp Dog vid is a certified banger

Looks like it would likely slot in above the stem and below the slide with the window. Likely wasn't included in this pre production model.

Payton Penn's vids were the videos that convinced me to grab fw7 early on. Quick unboxing, quick run through of how to turn it on, quick sesh with it. No talking, simple text overlays, less than 5mins. I don't mind longer reviews with the reviewer talking, but there is a really high chance of running into the issues you've illustrated though so it's a bit of a minefield...

Is there a cover for the quartz window so you can put it in your pocket after usage and not get burned?
When the device is assembled, the window is recessed in about 1/4" so you can't touch it.
I'm finding the thicker wood surrounding the heater on the X helps insulate better so you do not get quite a hot spot when you put it in your pocket right after a session. Window is def a nice added touch!

I just drop the entire capsule (with screen in place) into a vial of iso, shake it up, leave it sit for about 10 minutes, take it out, rinse it off, and air dry. I do three capsules at once. Easy, peasy!
Yeah, that’s how I do it, but I have 4 capsules and take them out when I load the last one. I’m kind of surprised I haven’t accidentally knocked a screen out.
