Why the kotibe is so dramatically different in 3 different photos? From what i see on their website it seems like a much more darker brown like the second photo…and not the red-ish brown i see in the other two
I did a little editing on my first photo that brightened it a bit, it is also outside. The second picture is inside in soft lighting.

It won't be there later, even if the station might be! ; )
Do you agree about the performance of the pure on the station better? I understand it’s subjective

oh wait the classic is in stock in walnut. I thought it was listed as out of stock last week when I was putting my order together….

Lol here I am telling you all @1973PortlandToker got the last one

Seriously, if you love your Vapman now, don't hesitate when the stations are available.

It’s one of the first thing I noticed when looking into the vapman…it has been really disappointing when i found out it wasn’t on sale anymore. Is the station coming back?

AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAAH

I’ve actually used the B answer more than I like to admit. I have multiple hobbies…all expensive to an extent. Not expensive like a car…but let’s just say I’ve grown tired of finding different excuses every time :D

It is subjective, I'm sure. It does seem like my pure walnut heats a slight bit more aggressively than the pear or olive and it is a lighter, less dense wood than either. On the other hand, my Kotibe is heavier than the pear but lighter than the olive and has the mica, but it heats noticeably faster/hotter than any of the others. I get like half the number of hits per bowl, and they are BIG for a vapman. Oddly, none of them stand out as faster/more aggressive with the torch.

Is the station coming back?
The guys are apparently pursuing suppliers but they seem adamant that they will make it happen...soon...

Not a deal killer: the new improvements mostly better protect the device, but with mica it shouldn't matter.
my first (my only) vapman is one with the mica shield. it has hardly been 4 months since i got this, already i am tempted by some of the pure custom vapmans. then i remembered this picture a page back (which made me wince a little)

is this about representative charring with the current pure ones? maybe i should wait getting one of the a real pretty ones until the station is an option again.
so this
Slight pref for Pure on the Station
sounds like fate intervening.
i really would like a station. do station owners here prefer the station over the torch? or just appreciate the variety? i feel a little relieved that i was already excited at the prospect of its re-release before coming across this real pretty custom vapman too nice to char - buying a station in order to buy another vapman would seem wonky reasoning. but tbh, buying another vapman b/c it is pretty is a little wonky in itself. vapman acquisition syndrome is no joke.

Eh that’s my vapman that’s making you wince!!! Lol what exactly is the issue.

If you’re worried about char marks get the og classic, the mica rides up higher.

I could have babied my pure with a low flame and avoided char but it’s gonna happen eventually anyway

Buy a station to buy a station. It is worth it in its own right (with a vapman, of course ; ))

I mostly appreciate the variety. Is the station better? Yes. Sort of. To be honest, it's like a Dynavap IH: you don't need one and the torch provides its own precision and joys, but the station, like an IH, makes it simple and consistent. But it's so well calibrated that it is a unique experience in its own right, and I think many will say it's better. Really it's more distinctly two different experiences than even a DV with torch v. IH.

consistency is what would sell me a station on day one for me. After 5 months I still find myself combusting from time to time…mostly when I’m tired and it’s late

Oh really, I’ve yet to burn da herb and I can get pretty overzealous with the flame 😂 as pointed out in my pics. Maybe it’s all that time with a sticky brick and you can sense the burn coming….

It's consistent! But how you use it matters, too. I think many people would like to sit and roast their way through a bowl, and it's interesting how the heat builds, the hits get larger, the flavor lasts surprisingly long before it tapers, and then you notice you've taken many more hits than you expected, and you are quite stoned and feeling the unique signature of the VM/Station!

I surprise myself every once in awhile; I've never really burned one, but I have definitely taken it too far!

Ok now the hype is real...I'm all in for long lasting flavor
