I made an Underdog line-up featuring my favorite wood types/grains from the archives that I'll be considering for my next UD (SC3+) purchase... The first three (from left to right) I'm particularly fond of...
I just got my Heavy Duty Rig, two of them in fact. Glass is thick, piece is solid/heavy - and the quality appears to be excellent... Thanks again for providing the feedback on this piece... Cheers
Apologies for the confusion (on my end). When you had said, "from the top of the joint to the body", I was slightly concerned that could have pertained to the lateral gap between the joint and the main body directly opposite it......
The good news is that the measurement confirms this piece...

My plan was to request an Underdog with a diameter of approx 2.25" (same diameter as a standard size can of Pam).... Would you say this would be on the 'thinner' side? I didn't want to go too skinny with my requested dimensions as to not reduce/diminish the aesthetic presence of the chosen wood...
I was curious/wondering if anyone viewing this thread by any chance uses their Underdog with the Higher Standards brand Heavy Duty Rig (glass bubbler)? Based on the design of that piece with the stem joint parallel to the base, I'm trying to determine if I'm going to have enough clearance for my...
