Shit, I just realized with the tighter cap I can let the cap hang off the tip a little more. I feel like it heats up the tip a little fast because it's more exposed as I hit my torch quite close to the poker and may help save my stem from splitting :). I'm really finding that the tip takes a lot longer to heat up but a load will retain most of its flavour. I really love the flavour from this TI tip. I

This thing works amazingly well with a hydratube. If you have one you must try it. I'll have to get some video of that, it's pretty fun.

Gotta love how my sweaty stoner hands protect me from the cap. I just tried pulling it off to early and heard the sweat on my fingers just sizzle, just kinda thought that was hilarious.

Quick Q guys, is the glass chamber of your OG cut straight? Mine looks like it was broken and torched to smooth it, so it makes some sort of waves (read it's irregular, not straight).

The end of my OG is wavy, as well. I've seen others say the same so it seems normal.

Shit, guess my Original is a true OG, cause its metal diffuser is straight gangster. Must have been some upgrades to the original since September.

I have both. I prefer the ceramic, it just seems to clean easier but that may be because it is a lot newer with much less work and seasoning than the older style. I have not noticed a functional diffrence except that ceramic comes more visibly clean after a good iso soak.

Really wanna add that George and I are all over this cracking issue, dont think for a minute that we arent! I am finding out George is a metal guy and I am a wood guy, yes I do some metal work but not to the extent that he does. I know what I know and what I do, its just getting right with George and working through this may take some time is all.

Glad to hear you guys are on the case, never had a doubt about that. Wood and metal just seem to really go together well, add some glass to it and we're in outer space now. I fantasize about a woodie with some type of durable see-thru window or section to see vapor flow.

I was messing with mouthpiece and I found silicon tubing of the HI turbo stems make a perfect match. It seal the body with nice mouth feel and fit both dynastash and green/purple plastic tube.

More than that, it allows to add vaporpath leght for overchilled hits or better mouthfeel, as VM mouthpiece (with a MFLB silicon tubing to seal the joint) but adding this you loose portabilty (it does not fit anymore originals stashes)

I am too lazy/paranoid to share photos but I know a lot of you if interested can try this at home, it rocks

I do find the black OG mouth piece is classier than silicon tubing though

@VapCap does the TiGlassy work with a glass condenser tube as well? Or only the steel with the Ti tip? I may have to order a regular glass at some point to try out...

The Ti Glassy is essentially a Ti Woody with glass in place of the wood. It has the same Ti tip and a ss condenser.....but, since it uses the modular design I am trying to perfect, swapping the condenser for a clean one, and or glass or a Ti tube will take only a few seconds.
I hope to start putting these parts as well as some maintenance parts on the website very soon. Until then, if anyone has any questions, or other needs, send me a pm.

Thank you everyone again,

George

Sounds good to me!

Glass, Ti, ceramic, and steel, seems like a good mix to me. And oh yeah its actually almost as gorgeous as the wood bodies somehow. Nice job on the steel collars too btw, those and the o rings should make the cracking a non issue and keep the bodies thin and light... I'll use my woody til it stops working though, and it'll last longer with glass around too. Can't wait to try, the modularity is wonderful in so many ways

I'd like to see a ground glass sleeve for a Ti tip, probably 14 mm. I remember seeing something like a WPA for the cap, but it didn't look to be long enough to hold its own condenser tube if I remember correctly.

Hell for all I know, George already has one lying around ;)

Hey @Shit Snacks , how long did it take for you to get a crack in your wood?

I've been using my new Blackwood cap for a few days now, almost strictly just my vapcap, and she seems to be holding up alright. Just crossing my fingers it doesn't happen. I know with nanos they either split quite quickly or they wont at all, I'm hoping same goes with these.

It's so damn sexy though. Just love it.

Mine split almost instantly :uhoh: within the first 2 or 3 bowls. I also have a prototype lower steel collar, I posted pics several pages back, maybe more, and I think more descriptions of it all were a bit earlier? It's been over two weeks now

I just want to report that heating coil or portable one handed VC heating station works very well.

I look at the video of @paytonpenn (very far away..) and follow his specs and I was able to reproduce the heating coil for VC

The only bad side being the coil too big to be protected by the metallic shield of the original RDA.

I found a small glass jar (I think is 30ml) fits perfectly around the base of the dripper, so I drilled a hole in the bottom and here is my heating shield and support to keep VC vertical with the hole of VC out from the jar

I can use my VC one handed, heating time is similar to the torch ritual I was using and the two 18650 battery of the mechanical mod lasted me the whole saturday trying it (at least 8-10 loads?)

If someone interested:

- mechanical mod (wooden box on dhgate or aliexpress)
- a RDA with 22mm base
- 22 awg kanthal wire to make 2coils with 2 turn around VC cap
- a small glass jar (this small jar fist that security cap we use in EU you can find them on meds (to avoid opening by a child)

Oups, I was forgetting, heating coil have enough power to still combust but heat transfert is more precise (if you follow the click ABV is more coffee than dark coffee - no more accidental char)
