I'd personally still drop the extra $$ on the yingmin one to get the better matrix perc :2c:
I did end up selling my one, but only because I've already got a möbius clear and ion matrix...
Though I am tempted to pick up another one with no logo on it...
(Sold my one for $80, so even if the price has jumped a bit I kinda come out ahead either way :))

i will definitely be bringing the kathy recycler into my main daily driver lineup.

it's a lot of fun to use and has a good amount of drag to it. it removes a lot of flavor, but you take ridiculous size hits. i have the water filled just over halfway high. i pull lightly and no chance ofgetting water in my mouth. the vortex keeps everything down.

IMO there is a certain kind of stoned that comes only from using a recycler - this one does the job

i have used it with my evo, SSV, and HI, enjoyed it very much with all 3. not sure i'd want to use it with anything more restrictive though.

I guess I mean is there a ridge that make them seem applied or do they feel more painted on? I'm guessing the latter or folks would have found a way to pull them off. If they do seem painted on it's a nice surprise that the cleaning solution removes them.

Plenty of room. Don't really think there's too many pieces it won't fit on. I would definitely recommend it, not much drag, still has good flavor even though it has two percs. Using the nano through the YQ42 is what I imagine hitting a cloud evo through a hydratube is like (though I have never used one) but for much less cash.

Kathy's Recycler is out. What's the draw like on the GB-228/9? Maybe I should just go with a D020 variant. I'd like something small, easy to manage, with little drag to accompany the YQ42.

Most definitely painted on. Silk screen? I've never worked in print, so I'm not familiar with the terminology.

I did try a razor to it when I first got it and there was no way it was going to peal off. I managed one tiny "chip" before I gave up.

I have another Ash catcher with a honeycomb perc that I like very much, mostly due to how well it pairs with the Lotus and a J-Hook and gives me a view of the glass for better control. But I was looking for something with a little less diffusion for taste.
Unfortunately the new one is very disappointing. I have tried it with several water levels and it either bubbles heavily into the j-hook and then into my mouth, or when too low won't even function. There is a very narrow level where it functions ok, but you need to work on holding it just right.

It seems the slits are just too high up the side of the perc. Oh well, one complete bust out of 4 or 5 isn't too bad...

What's good about the Ash Catcher setups is their super cheap and work 1000000000000000x better than some pieces!

@Dangus I both love and loath your posts. It is always nice to see what new stuff is available. But then I want to order it and the problem arises as I already own a shit ton of glass.

@Frederick McGuire I am so excited to see actual pictures and hear reviews for all the pieces you got. I have been eyeing most of those and been having a hard time not ordering the ball rig

I'm nervous of the cheaper class breaking from a male nail, was hoping to use an 18-18 or 18-14 adapter on it. Harbor freight torch ftw! Is that your only torch? I've thought about getting something else but $8 for a lifetime warranty is legit. I've taken my torch back twice now and exchanged for a new/better one lol.

Oh yeah so my two rigs got here today! At 10:51am apparently. I went to work around 12:30 so I didn't even check the mail... Doh! Oh well, they are supposedly sitting in the big mailbox for packages with a key in my box so I'll be sure to get some pictures and what not after I unbox everything. Way excited, the inline is going to my neighbor so really I'm just getting the D020 and adapters. As mentioned above, nervous about the male nail so I ordered an 18-14 adapter so I can try out my TiPower 710 domeless on it. The heat retention according to my infrared gun doesn't seem to be all that great anymore.

Should see the YQ-42 and ashcatcher next week. I've got to say I'm pretty impressed actually. Ordered on September 8th/9th (not sure with time delay) and delivered to Colorado on the 18th. It came from San Francisco to here super quick. 9/10 days is pretty awesome. If I like the D020 which I'm sure I will I'm selling the Silika and using all of that money towards new rigs/accessories. :D

I've seen one, but the beaker portion is a bit too slanted for me and doesn't look as nice. Or are bubblers better for the vapor? I was looking into the d020, but with a 14mm adapter the total would probably come out to about 40, and I feel like I should just get the beaker if i'm spending 40

Don't know, I personally don't care for straight tubes anymore - why crane my neck when I can sit comfortably?

It's all about personal preference - the beauty of these cheap pieces is you can buy many for the same price of one at your LHS. Less diffusion is always better to retain flavor of the flower. Also think about center of gravity - I can keep my vapes inverted on a GonG on many bubblers without any fear of it tipping over.

Don't forget you should avoid using ice with vaporizers, as it will condense the vapor before it reaches your lips. Those ice-pics are useless for vaporizing/dabbing
