Last week I got my "8arms bubbler" from Aliex and I am very pleased aswell. It doesn't look perfect and the arms aren't centered good but it does work well! I'm just sad I couldn't take the deal on the showerhead one (jealous on you jambandphan ;) ) cause it is defenitely too much diffusion for my preference. Anyway for that price I got a nice bubbler to "switch to" or to take in travel!

Also today I accenditaly dropped the removable mouthpiece on the desk and it's still in one piece!

Hey, anyone pickup the New Perc Bubbler from Aliex? What kinda perc is it? I can't really tell in the pics.
I like the detachable mouth piece, and that it appears to have its perc welded to the side of the can. EDIT: perc is not supported.

The 5 arm Tree Bubbler looks nice as well. But no perc 'support', and I prefer a shorter, fatter can.

Anyone know what size the joints are? Assuming 14 by the package size...but, there is no actual indication.

Oh, and a question on this Triple Honeycomb Bubbler; how is that perc suppose to work? Do you really have to fill that with water all the way to that 3rd perc? That seems like a lot of water/drag?

None of the three I received that rotax asked about have reinforced perks. The 8 arm tree has reinforcement between arms, but nothing reinforced to the can. The can on the 8 arm is a 40 mm can, I believe. The New Perk is about a 60mm can and is not reinforced. The percs themselves are four inline nubs with two slits each. That one is very, very chuggy. The triple Showerhead has to be filled to the top Showerhead and only the top perc fires. This one is about a 60mm can as well. All the joints are 18mm. I gave away the triple Showerhead and the New Perc suffered a casualty. I'm down to the 8 arm and paired it with a 5 arm AC. I love this combo!

The triple shower looks as worthless as I thought...

I think I actually like the arm perc more now. That 'cross' perc seems to work well too.
Which has less resistance?

And yes, now that I see how that cross perc works, I realize its not supported.

Thanks! Whats the difference in height? The tree appears taller, but maybe thats just the narrow can? NM, I'll look at your video again. :p

All three are roughly the same height. 7 1/4" to the top of the can. 12 3/4" to the mouthpiece.

Anyone tried this D&K 'Honeycomb' Bubbler? Looks like some positive feedback. I wonder/worry that there may be too much diffusion/loss of flavor in something like this? But I know many FC users have the Levi/M&M Tech w/ a HC perc, any compromise in flavor compared to other percs? Maybe this is better for higher temps, or *cough* smoking?
Like many here, I still prefer at least the first hit from a 'stem' instead of through water; it just has so much more flavor.

Oh, and by what I can understand, D&K is the actual company 'producing' the glass. AliExpress seems to just be a '[re]seller' of sorts?

I couldnt find the post but the poster had asked if you could negotiate prices. to anwser his/her question, I did, the female rep for the company Ms Kathy Wu is negotiable.I just returned back here (been mourning my staffy that passed,sweet baby) but had some gas and had to release it and saw the infamous how many arm tree bubb? ( I think confirmed 8 arms now) and offered her 20 stating I was loyal cust. that had bought 3items from them and she countered with 24 and I agreed.I think one poster put it right, dont buy right away and wait eventually , prices drop or they throw out a larger coupon in some cases.

I love some of the inexpensive import stuff,one has to have a good eye as we have seen poor design in perc placement. As mentioned once before, some of the factories I think dont really understand the application of what theyre blowing. Not knock'n China, but a lot of the time China can build it to look just like the real thing but thats it, LOOK like the real thing but not WORK like it. Most of it is decent and when considering the prices on the import stuff @Alli Ex. you really cant complain ,just use your common:2c:when eying up those percs!!

I know you saw this cheese, but I was able to successfully pair the Sublimator with the aliexpress showerhead bub (I love the way it stacks) I definitely got a gem on that one. It's surprisingly stable for the size.

My glass from aliexpress just got here! Over all I am more than pleased with this purchase. Both pieces are pretty well made upon first inpection, and I feel I got really lucky with the showerhead, it's well centered and much lower than some of the others that went out (sorry y'all).

I like that single showerhead a lot. Where is that one on Ali? I haven't seen a single showerhead there yet. The perc position is much better than the other Chinese pieces I've seen.

Especially tempted as the one I really wanted after seeing jambandpam's video was the shower head one, but unfortunately not present on the actual list.

On closer look it does not actually looks like a shower head, but its hard to tell ??? :huh:

28$ seems like a great price, what's up with the we will contact you with lowest shipping as only option though? It is a showerhead, I would be weary of the strength of that particular showerhead downstem. It just looks very weak to the naked eye, with the length and not sure of a bottom weld support it could break by just clearing fast over a period of time.

Edit: Wonder if jambandphan03 knows jambandpam ;)

Some import producers dont understand the application in which their making (blowing) their products, in this piece its completely non op if water is used,you could hit it dry,if you want but whats the sense if its a WT...... . Cheaper to buy a j-hook if you just want to go dry and cool it down,lot cheaper and you can get it state side
you will see the reti percs on their sides,theres an x-mas tree type of perc useless
both of these examples will give you a lung full of water with out a doubt. we also have seen before the percs on some arent in the ideal location but they work.Best you eye em good as you have done so, these 2 examples are good examples as well as the one you mentioned to prove the situation does exist, all three are nothing more than a waste of material and paper weights.

theres a piece that one poster bought,it had 3 consecutive shower heads down the intake,you had to fill the piece up to the last (highest) perc, and from there very little can is left to accumulate vapor,at the same time your drinking your filter media. Another piece I rec'd from PD was labeled under the "deal of the day"(Victorian matrix perc.) Came in a case had a bulbous flask type for a can, detach MP, beautiful..... USELESS too big a perc for a narrow necked flask, the perc only fired on a few slits making pulling thru it like sucking a basketball thru 20 ft of garden hose and then there was no room for vapor and you were drinking the media once again.

Good eyeball there DS480, there are some others on that site that look decent for the $$. I can say for now I have alleviated my GAS problem for the moment. I think Im holding 10 pieces ranging in 2 categories, decent import and some domestic blown form local artists on the site.

I had that triple Showerhead piece. It was pretty much useless, but I gave it to a buddy and he loves it for his oil rig.

When I saw those deals on PipesDaddy for the pieces that came with the case, I went with the double Showerhead. I actually like it a lot. I was really tempted by that Matrix, but after hearing what you have to say about it, I'm really glad I went with the double showerhead.

It really is necessary to check out a piece from top to bottom and see if you can spot what may go wrong with it when you are looking at a lot of this value priced glass.
