Wow was the unit turns on when it took a swim? I'm guessing not. But am very curious
Nope. it was off. I was just about to toggle it on for my morning vapor shower! I will report if anything else develops. I hope it doesn't cause problems down the line, but I will let y'all know! :)

Great Scott!
So how long after filing a claim does ploom get back to you guys?

19 hours and they are "Awaiting assignment to a support agent"

I know 19 hours isn't a long time, but I'd like to think someone has at least SEEN the warranty claim in a day. My only portable right now is a persei with bender combo. Love using it, but far more hassle than the pax, even if it may feel more effective.

it was honestly different every time. I have had waited a few days, I have also had them do a return right on the spot. They are probably busy as fuck as everyone experiencing the temp issue is probably trying to return these things. It probably depends on how high up the person is too, certain people like Zach were much faster. What sped up one of my returns was that I told them I had already done the research on message boards and my problem needed immediate attention, they said thankyou and sent me a slip as soon as I told them that.

I did just that. I explained that I am familiar with common issues and explained the current issue and that it was a medical device that I'd like to avoid being without. Still nothing. All I really want is confirmation that someone sees my claim and gives a shit.

Since you follow the Cloud thread you should already know that we've adopted a policy to prevent cluttering up threads and using the forum as leverage on a manufacturer. Just in case you missed it, and because I don't think it's been posted in this thread, I'll state it now. The policy is:
  • You get to post about your problem once, then you don't get to post about it anymore until you get an outcome.
To be clear, I'm not accusing you of violating that policy, I'm just trying to make sure that you don't.

I received my new mouth piece and lubricant yesterday due to my pax acting all crazy on off temp up and down heating up turning off ect, just out of control lol. So I emailed them they returned my email and sent me the mouth piece and lubricant free of charge express it to me. I lubed my pax up, a dab here and there and away we went. Worked great again, so bonus I guess now I had the extra stem from my old mouth piece to make a glass adaptor and wow it works great attatched a glass 18mm adaptor to the stem and lubed it up too and it fit perfect and also clicked in and out with ease so was very excited to try it out with some of my hydratubes and other glass water filtration pieces and it worked awesome the only complaint is that you ant take huge draws cause after the first initial wallop of vapor the element must cool cause it doesn't keep producing vapor like that un less you wait between pulls but all in all a slow draw with a none restrictive glass piece works real well.

Cheers medical mark

dr, I've received the fastest response from Ploom Customer Service by using their online chat versus support email. Good luck.

Ok. I wasn't familiar with it so thanks for the info. But yeah, I'm just trying to get info on what to expect. I am under the impression that Ploom is not even on these boards, did that change?

I'm sure they will take care of me, just trying to get a feel for what the process is like.

Thanks, I didn't even know they offered this! Off to do that now.

It worked for me and I live in Canada and I understand that sales in Canada are limited cause of supply and demand know one sells them here at all but I was able to find one pure chance I guess and was told there w no customer support or warrenty if you have me in Canada and will not be serviced, really well I was totally taken care of by ploom and all through the email app they have on there site and ft service to boot very good the best I experienced yet great customer service and like I said fast I very satisfied with this purchase as far, but with anything if there's a problem if its a good company that understands the customer is always right concept and model you will be taken care of every time and that's my experience thus far.
Now back to medicating.

Cheers medical mark

Ploom might monitor the forum but they do not participate in it. This thread is covered under the "clutter" part of the policy.

Good to know Pak.

Anyway with the info I got here at this awesome site I found the live chat and contacted Zach. Got postage on its way to me now. Can't wait to have a working pax again.

Thanks for the tip!

zach helped me instantly every time, I thought you were using the instant chat feature, I didnt know you were using an email! For anyone else, the instant chat feature is boss and usually they can wrap things up in minutes.

I took my Pax to a Galactic concert in Seattle a couple weeks ago. OMG. This vape is PERFECTION (IMHO) for events like this! I had a seat up in the bar area & just turned it on while I held it in my purse. When it was ready I simply clutched it in my hand & pulled great draws on it. Then turned it off & dropped it back into my purse when done. No one could tell where the clouds were coming from at all. In fact, the couple in front of us looked around, smiled, & broke out a joint.

The Pax is about as close to perfection as it gets (for me, anyway!). Even my paranoid hubby agreed it was totally stealth! :D

Galactic, nice :) Agreed, I bought mine for shows and it turned into my daily driver, love love love it for shows. I have used it in 2 smaller clubs just fine too, not just crowded venues. I cant wait for the summer.

Yep, did the same thing at Kanye on Friday. People in front didn't even notice. Love it!

People don't notice the unit, but they will notice the smell. Although I have not been busted, I've been to two shows so far where the security picked up on the smell of the Pax and I sat there and watched them do their damnedest to find where it was coming from. They never found me, but it did make me much more wary of vaping in enclosed spaces with the Pax.

Make sure you carefully monitor your surroundings before using it in public if you live in a state that still has arcane, hypocritical laws. It might not be quite as stealth as you think.

^^ That part. It doesn't stop smelling just because you put it away. ;)

If you mean that any smell that's already in the air won't go away then yeah...

For the most part though, if you clear out any vapor after shutting it off the Pax seems to stop producing odor pretty quickly.

I find it has very little smell when not in use.

You're singing my song on this! I initially bought my Pax for stealth purposes too, but now I don't use anything else! I can't wait to take it to our three-day DMB concert-fest at The Gorge! This little baby is PERFECT for everything! (Is it wrong to be infatuated with a vaporizer??) :D

This is true. I usually don't bust it out until I start smelling the skunk coming from the crowd (which always happens out here). But then again, I'm fortunate to live in Washington state, where the cops & security really could care less, for the most part. Seattle's Hempfest has been going on for years, and the first time I went, I was stunned to see everyone openly toking up all over the place. The cops were everywhere & didn't bother anyone. They've said Hempfest is about the easiest crowd they deal with. Attend it in August if you possibly can, it's an amazing event!

We're also heading into full legalization here, so the attitudes are very tolerant. I'm extremely lucky to live here, I don't know if I could deal with a very restrictive state. :p

Every time I have ever used a pax at a show I was like the 1000th person to start smoking. I know its not smell proof, but a lot of people are smoking at shows and I myself would be smoking a bowl otherwise, so in comparison I feel a lot stealthier. Most shows I go to there is such rampant smoking that theres not much any security can do except bust the most blatant people. I stated before I creep behind tall people to take hits, the bigger shows I dont worry about it so much. Even just waiting in line, I mentioned the other week I stank out the ticket line for a Dopapod show and no one could figure out I was blazing. I had it completely up the sleeve of my jacket, I pretended to shiver and warm my hands with my breath as I hit it, the bouncer came out and told us we fucking stank and that was it, it was direct at the crowd and no one in particular. Even if not for stealth, for festivals it'll be great, I hate coming home and having like fucking whooping cough wook lung from blazing heavy all weekend.

I just gave mine a good cleaning after 3 months of occasional use...and man what a stink! I can't get that darn odor off of my fingers. That beings said, this little guy still does a great job on my duff when funds are low. Even with the lube I am having temp light issues...will have to delve back into this thread to see about any new fixes.

Mollee Oregon here! You apparently are forgetting that WA legalized it so that is probably helping you out quite a bit!
