I had no idea what that disc was but I still have it. Did not know they needed to stay wrapped. So this battery im just gonna huck and run my solo battery for now before buying some more. Thanks for that advice though. I would have not known.
cool, one caution though before you huck the battery. shorting a lithium cell causes them to burn / explode / etc. if you don't have battery recycling and you for example throw it in the trash where some metal can bridge the positive and negative contacts you will cause a fire. And the entire side of the cell that was wrapped is the negative contact. Everything besides the positive post is the negative contact, hence that insulator around the positive post. you could now cause a short circuit with a very short piece of metal. if you can put the battery in a ziplock or wrap it with saran wrap etc you will be safer. or just go to best buy, they accept electronics waste for free.

in the future i would not recommend unwrapping cells without the stuff to wrap them back up again. while the numbers might help you out, for me its easier to put the cell in a low drain device and get known cells for the high drain devices.

Also if it came from a flower mate it probably was actually 8 years old and Samsung wouldn't surprise me either! But yes please just buy some new molicel

On this site below, you choose a battery brand, then enter a “code”. I entered just “H5IY”, and chose “Samsung”.
That’s where I got the year 2017 I posted earlier. I’m not familiar with “Flower Mate” products, but regardless, any 18650 battery that’s 8 years old, is most likely near or at the end of its useful life.

I just unscrewed and took out the stainless piece where the mouth piece slides in. Noticing some scratches in there. Assuming that’s normal from the stems going in and out? Also is this piece ISO friendly? Just toss that entire piece in? My last question is that screen on the bottom how do I replace that? Pop it out and pop a new one in?

If you're repeatedly rubbing one thing against another it's going to get marked slightly. As long as there's no significant structural damage, you'll be fine. Might wanna replace your O-rings however, they should be preventing this mostly.

Anything metal or glass on the device is "iso-friendly" as long as you remove the orange o-rings as they don't play nice with ISO.

Not sure why I would have to swap the O rings already. I haven’t had this vape for longer than a week. But I won’t lie I think I’ve ripped about 50 bowls through it.

You've only had it a week? Oh fair enough ahah they'll be fine. I'm going over a year now with mine and haven't changed mine. Previous advice stands though, it won't damage the device. They're cosmetic marks on the steel.

Battery wraps available here as well.

If you are carrying spare 18650 lithium batteries, hard plastic cases holding more then one are good, the battery selling sites usually sell these. If it’s single batteries, I like the type below:

they spilled some deets on the black model on their instagram feed/story thing.. peep for pictures but here is the run down of their text, 1 number per slide of info as presented by TM

  1. Polished zirconia w/new cooling solution. smooth tasty cool vapors, Stem stays always cool. Robust/durable/easy to clean/adjustable
  2. new button and electronics like all the units since early 2025. thousands tested without a single button failure so far
  3. temp dial still there but thanks to new boost features it is not always needed, easier to use then ever before
  4. dont worry if you forgot to turn it off "tinymight black edition" will handle it
  5. smells like a ne battery with higher capacity approved

Oh, man! It's becoming harder an harder to protect my wallet and decide what to spend the limited funds on...

The new Black TM2? The hyped up Tafée Bowle II? The new Frolic? The upcoming ConVex V2?

EDIT: Shit! And now there's a BAKx drop on Wednesday💀😅

That new Zirconium stem on the photos looks super polished both outside and inside, most of zirconium vaping products i own , have rough interior for some reason(most likely because it is cheaper? :D , which i dont find really sanitary to be honest, but looks like manufacturer had to had a smooth surface so cooling units can slide without trouble. I bet it would be a breeze for cleaning . I also lately got another titanium stem and the new stock looks really amazing, super shiny and smooth, nothing like the first one i got ,paired with a glass mp from the ball stem, it has become my daily driver, but i am going to give a chance to the Zircoinium to win me over for sure, also new cooling solution sounds interesting, hoping you can get them soon as stand alone accessory !

Ooh no!!
Whyyyyyyyyy?
That is something i love about my TM2's: i switch them on once and they are ready to go all day.
I hate it when a vape turns off by itself, really pisses me off.
I'm so used to my TM2 being ready at all times so i know this will fucking bother me, i'll probably have to turn it on ten times a day then which seems very silly (and unnecessary) to me.
That's like 30 extra button pushes a day for no good reason at all... :(
Not a dealbreaker per se but really not a feature that i was waiting for unfortunately. It's actually one of the reasons that made me decide to skip the Frolic train (which has auto-shut off) and wait for the TM2 Black edition.
What a bummer...

Isn't it still a 18650-battery in there?
The black edition seems to be the same size as the TM2?
I would not think the TM2-housing can be tweaked to fit a 21700 inside but might be mistaken.

So the vapour is going to be molten?

i think maybe that is just reference to the p30b now being rec'd?

Possibly yes. Already use those in my TM2 actually. Didn't realise they had to be approved?😬
I guess i get a few extra hits with them but nothing spectacular tbh.

Luckily there's also the black, the zirconium stem/new cooling solution and the improved button to look forward to.

Very curious about the "new boost features that turn the dial absolete", not sure what to expect there. :hmm:
So activated without the dial?
Must be a feature in the session mode then i guess? (which i have never used)
Maybe something like a pre-programmed tempstepping session?

It's always been my understanding that the air path of the TM2 is totally isolated from the electronics, but this guy on Reddit insists that's not the case: https://www.reddit.com/r/Tinymight2/s/J0d3CR3Ajb

Which is it?

Thanks

i agree it's beautiful. however the child in my brain screamed pubic hair at the first demo shot

Ah…. finally an “auto-OFF”. A good safety feature that most devices have.
Be nice if one could customize the duration before shutdown.
My guess:
- Session mode: will have one preset, non-programmable, to save the battery from completely draining. Like, maybe 20-60min. (the latter is really too long, tbh, based on what I've seen).

- On-demand: could have multiple timing presets (since the device is simply idling unless 'call for heat' via pushing the button, or turning on / off.

Someone here earlier had actually measured the idle battery usage for extended periods (like, a day), and reported back that it was nothing much to worry about (e.g.; you wouldn't use much voltage if all the thing is doing is blinking every couple of seconds and running logic: "call for heat? No? Just blink, baby") Actually, it wouldn't be running that much, or the looping code would be draining the battery.

Is there code, even? My guess is that there is, based on the multi-function button.

Yeah, and to save the heater from eventually burning out….
In “on demand” mode, an auto-off feature is not needed as much, the blinking LED would eventually drain the battery, but that would be a long time.

That debate has come up here before, I think it was determined that there was some potential exposure, but not in the pathway through normal use? etc which is typical from these pure convection on demand vapes, most of them are not truly fully isolated technically?? though negligible imo
