I truly miss casually puffing away on a doob. I will be very happy if the Tempest 2 brings that back to me.
It won't provide the effect of the carbon monoxide created by combustion so the effects will never be quite the same, but that said, it was when I got my first tempest last year that I started to really find an acceptable substitute which if not the same, came with it's own bonuses (beyond the health side).

This is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing!! I currently have a reliable single flame torch that I've been using for my dynavap (pb207), do you think that I should upgrade to a triple torch or one of those big handheld ones? And also, do you have any recommendations? I also got two vertigo cyclones off amazon, but both had a jet that was significantly weaker than the other two, and also struggled to stay lit. I tried the common troubleshooting, but unfortunately they've both been retired.

Also, could anyone share a picture of the v2 manual? I hate being in the US man I can't wait for mine to get here.
Th V2 manual isn’t done yet (and they don’t ship with the devices anyway). It’s all online.

A few V2-specific things at the top of the page here: https://madheaters.co.uk/pages/tempest-2-manual

Ten years post cannabis combustion (and about 25 years past cigarette self destruction) I no longer lust for that carbon monoxide induced oxygen deprivation that comes with combustion. Once I started vaping, I really never looked back and I barely enjoy a hit off a joint these days when I am offered.

@sentabi i would recommend a double-triple-quad flame for the v2. I remember brenyo recommended a concrete one from amazon. I would recommend the one i have (triple flame with good tank and stone instead of click) but damn, i bought it from aliexpress and now i dont find it :D:lol: if i find it I will share it here.

Anyway you still can use a single flame, with power (but not a giant flame). A flame which can “cover” the heating zone

Sorry for the confusion 🤗
The V2 manual isn't ready yet.
Well, I've not seen it I should say.

I was trying to say that I knew if I waited to read the manual there'd be a way to easily locate each bowl setting. That I was sure Brenyo would have thought about this , and addressed it. He has 💚

Brenyo's explanation for how to use the tool will be included in the manual id imagine.
His advice was easy to follow.
The tool made it quick n easy n to set small and mid bowl size.

The "Cadrim" is my goto torch.

Hi guys
I managed to get the flavour sorted in my v1 tempest today. For anyone whos interested, i think the issue was the head was dirty. I hadnt let the head soak with no balls in, so I torched them down again and soaked the head withiut them. I also detached the Vi from the head and let that soak.

Over the moon I have managed to get it fixed. Cheers to everyone who helped
Ah, glad to hear it. My guess for your flavor problem was a dirty glass wand bowl. Was it just an iso soak, with the balls removed, that fixed the flavor? My primary T1 head is at the point that it needs a good polishing to clean up as it has some chaz on it and iso soaks are doing nothing for the color. I just need to completely disassemble the head, deep clean it, polish it, and while I've got it all apart, I need to again try to figure out what's wrong with the click disks (only one click). Considering a similar process helped out your situation, I'm now wondering if my flavor can be improved by doing that. Guess there's one way to find out.

Oh? So you won't be interested in helping me develop a new type of vape with a built in supply of monoxide and a little value to adjust how much you get! 🤣

No offense meant but the sad truth is people will do whatever it takes to get high. When I was a kid, a lot of the people around me were doing things like huffing deodorant and glue. I even sniffed glue myself a few times. Talk about giving up brain cells for a buzz...

My point is, while you may not be able to make a living from it, I'm sure you could find some takers for your monoxide generator.

Sorry folks, way off topic...

This will bring it back. Does the thicker induction sleeve make the spinning of the device when using a torch less necessary?

So it's technically a week since I got my T2 last Saturday (it's nearly 1am right now... It counts)

I can't wait to see more people get their deliveries! I won't gush too much now, but I am blown away by the vapour production I am getting. It's so easy with the wand too.

I'm using the timeout method. 280c to 290c for using natively (540f/555f) and 300c-310c on a bong (570f/590f). The majority of the time this will fully extract in 1 cycle

I gave it a very quick clean earlier. Its easy to take apart and put back together. There is only 1 oring on the stem, and 2 on the bowl that need a little lube

I just used kitchen roll (paper towels?) to give it a wipe down in the bowl and mouthpiece, wiped the CU and gently twisted the paper directly down the stem. It still needs a proper ISO soak to get it sparkling, but it's good enough for a few more days usage 😇

Finally, a word of warning. The big bowl I had 2 hours ago hit me like a sledge hammer. I'm going to try the 0.15 setting for a bit 😵‍💫
