I've been using Lee's 5 second method but with a triple torch 👌. Super terps down the hatch on the first hit. Almost uncomfortable. Something quartz capish. Subsequent heating leads to significant vapour building and a nice session.

This or either a one and down torching with the triple had been a great.

I love this device because it doesn't require a huge amount of heat and the cool down time is minimal. The ritual is vapman like.

It's getting to be "late February". Can you throw us a crumb on timing, @Camouflet?
I got this email update: "The new Ceramo XL production is taking longer than anticipated due to refinements at the factory. We received the first small batch of Ceramo XLs and unfortunately they showed some issues and we requested the manufacturer to modify the mould. After about a week of effort the factory said they needed to remake the mould which would take more time. We have been working with them to come up with a new date for delivery and share that with you. We now anticipate it will be late March or even early April."

Glad they're working out the issues, I hope they take all the time they need with it.

Is the Ceramo XL that difference that it needs it's own thread? Maybe. I'll have to wait and compare when it arrives.

Got a wand today and CXL shines with it. Torch heating is fun but this is just so easy. Nice flavourful big hits. Been doing 12 to 15 seconds. I have it inserted about 2/3 of the way.

Big tastey vapour. Quick heat ups and cool downs. Very little maintenance. Pretty consistent and repeatable results. What a great device!

So what happens if the Ceramo gets released near 4/20? People like me are waiting for a 420 deal to buy it but the "founders" who pre-ordered it will be upset because the people that waited will pay less? Or will the price be $99 still and he will bundle it with something we don't want, instead of lowering the price?

I am thinking he will do a deal on Ceramo/capacitor bundle for 420. I wish we could buy Ceramo a la carte, I always throw away the torch and box but still have to pay for it.

well reg price is like 179 my guess the deal probably be 99ish on 4/20 if they even have them yet by that time. If I were a betting man the deal on 4/20 is going to be the same pick 2 we had last year with possibility of adding the ceramo but going to depend on if they are in stock or still fucking around with the mold

These guys do great sales! For the pre-order price I don't mind the wait. Take your time and get it right. We've all been spoiled with how fast things come to our doors these days.

xl showed up today to join the convection crew, I will never need a bigger bowl than the CXL, it could easily spike my tolerance so 1/3 bowls for testing.

I pre-ordered it, I wouldn't care about someone paying less on 4/20. I pre-ordered to potentially get it early while paying less. If the objective was only to pay less I might have waited for 4/20, but I doubt the saving would be enough to really matter since the pre-order discount is already very good.

thank's, I like to shop part's and curate pieces.

The XL in 1/3-1/4 position, just a thin layer lightly finger tamped so no herb touches the cap screen, same amount +/- as a full dyna bowl, but more than twice the initial surface area for hot air. 11-12 seconds in the wand start draw at 7-9 for a light terpy hit, 6-9 more for big vapor hit still tasty, then maybe a roasty clean-up if there's something left. Every bit as thorough an extraction as TM2 w/dark brown ABV

Lovely. When you say 1/3 - 1/4 position, do you mean just mean part filling the bowl? I've been ill recently so my tolerance is all shot. Had a nearly full XL bowl and it was too much!

The TM2 comparison in terms of extraction is apt. Your technique is a bit like temp stepping with the TM2.
