Yes, it should not run heater in On-Demand unless the power button is pressed and running way too hot 140*C is 284*F way out of wack. Try get a replacement your retailer is quickest way, if not

I've been working through the quirks with this vape tonight and changed up my draw etc, and I'm quite enjoying this little thing.

WHen I turn it on, I;m going to take a hit so it's good the heater is warming without me having to press the button.

Would be nice to have a timer on the trigger button when you are taking a hit, like I have on my 510 mod for the dreamwood glow.

All in all, I like this thing.

Howdy folks!

I've grabbed one of these V3s for out and about as an on demand vape. I 1st set it up at 175*C and I turned into a coughing cloud after a 7 second pull.

So I'm having to run it at 140*C as opposed to (for example) my solo 2 which I run at 175*C to get the same amount of vapour.

Is this correct??? Or is it a bum unit? :tinfoil:

I don't fancy doing it again for a video.

It's no issue for me, if I need to run it at 140 then that's fine.

I could try a little 2 second pull at 175?

I'll figure it out, just wondering if they're all at different "calibration" or is mine just a daft one out of the factory.
The T° on the device is only for reference, with convection heating the T° in the chamber may be influenced a lot by the drawing style, loading style, ambient T°, herb's moisture content and hit's length. In short, with convection, the more you draw on the device the more vapor you get while with conduction, you are "emptying" the vapor build between hits. You may be able to get the vapor you want at 175°C only by modifying your draw in order to add more fresh air (pull faster), by loading less in the chamber (my typical load is 0.10-0.12gr) and by taking care your weed isn't too much dry (some moisture helps to get less dense clouds)
According to this thread, the heaters were tuned to run hotter in later versions.
Yes it is... we did it cause customers complained the device need too long draws to deliver.
Ah thanks, I have had a mooch through and thought I'd read that the other day, but I forgot.

I;m down at 130*C with it now...

I like a nice long slow draw.

EDIT - It appears mine heats up in on demand mode regardless of if the button is pressed or not.

I think it's a bad one.
I think you are enjoying low temp though...

It's normal the device keep the heater on with the T° set at 130°C between On-demands button push, only by the time the timer isn't over. We did it in order to fasten vapor production (less long hits) but also in order to save some battery life. It was already mentionned the device to produce small clouds in On-demands mode only by drawing on the device (without to push the button)... and since you seems to enjoy it at 130°C... On-demand mode seems useless for you!
I don't think it's a bad one, it looks like you are a low temp vaper, although most persons, when quitting combustion, want to get a device able to produce dense enough clouds to mimic combustion hits. Our devices are designed for such persons... but we are pleased to notice many "connoisseurs" here seems to dig the Xmax V3Pro too...

I'm so glad you finally got the hang out of your V3Pro, your other device is conduction based and designed to deliver clouds all over the entire session. The V3Pro is convection and it's designed to vape a full chamber (0.10-0.12gr) in 3-6hits (it depends a few factors: hit's size, thc content, T° settings and with or without water cooling). Feel free to contact me for infos, tips&tricks or support, have fun!

Thanks XMAX,

I've dialled it in at 150*C now, it's just what I wanted for out and about so that I can have a sneaky hit with something easy to pocket.

I like a long slow 10 second draw, and even at 150*C I turn into a cloud on that 1st hit.

I think what may have happened when I 1st used the device was I'd done several burn offs and the temp was set at 220, when I came to use it after it had cooled, I fired it up but didn't adjust the temp down to 175 as I was reading the instructions, so when I did and I took a hit, I think the device was preheating way above my 175.

The preheat on turning the device on it a good idea though, I only have to hold the button for a second and it's ready if I leave it to sit doing it's thing.

Thanks again!

No worries my friend, your device get the maxed out heater, only the first batch released in august 2021 got the "low temp" heater, by October 2021, 2nd batch, the devices already got the heater maxed out for faster&thicker vapor production.

Hi, I recently acquired the device with WPA and dosing capsules.

I have noticed weird smell from the silicone gasket on the WPA adapter which remained after washing with iso and hot soapy water.

I have just popped in the kitchen oven at 200 degrees Celsius and the silicone piece started fuming unpleasant chemical odor.

I've popped in the oven also the silicone gasket of the mouthpiece that comes with the vaporizer but in it didn't start fuming and it didn't smell weird as new like the WPA

Of what silicone is made the gasket for the WPA ? Food grade silicone like the ones used in the baking trays are safe up to 230 degrees Celsius and shouldn't fume.

Sorry, I don't know specifically about the silicone in that wpa, but your story reminds me that folks here often say that silicone parts can smell for a while after manufacture, especially after just sitting in packaging. The two remedies I have read are 1. Soak in water for a day or two 2. Fresh air and sunshine for a couple of days.

I think that if your wpa was off-gassing some smells it would be exacerbated by high heat, just as you have experienced. Maybe try something else? Or maybe that did help it? I don't mean to diminish the issue; it's possible there is something really wrong with it...just suggesting what others have done...

After 1 hour at 200-210 degrees Celsius in the kitchen oven, finally the smell is gone.
But I'm wondering why the device itself Xmax V3 pro also came a lot smellier than my Arizer for example.
Is it actually food grade, high temperature silicone?
Also I'm wondering are the wires to the heater crimped or soldered to it?
Because if soldered, they are in the way of the air path and can also release dangerous fumes..

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience, the silicone is all the same, it's food grade silicone, we are usually taking a lot of care not to use uncured silicone in our devices cause we know how much peoples are scary by that solvent smell when operning a package. You probably got a recent batch of WPA Attachments with insufficiently cured silicone, I'll report your feedback to the Team, thank you for the report.

Yes usually it's good enough only to let the parts to sit in an airy place for 24-48h. I remenber some folks mentionned to soak it in milk for a few hours, clean with water and let dry out for 24h.

Thank you for sharing your silicone curing technic, I'm sad you got one so much stinky cause, lkike I already said, we are taking a lot of care only to use very well cured food grade silicone in our devices.
About the wire's question, I'll ask to the team but I'm convinced it's not soldered cause we are aware of the issue, I'll keep you updated asap!

I don't think you'll need an app.
In another note, built-in battery... (saw that at the video someone shared about it the some time ago)
I wonder if they restricted the airflow a bit, as I found I have to block the first row of air slots at both sides for it to works properly.
Edit: at that video that showed a sample version, it seems they didn't restrict it.

Recommend putting glass balls 4-6mm instead of the ceramic element. Better cooling, easier to clean, better taste experience as well.

It is a cheaper and smaller device. Yyou can’t make something smaller than the v3 pro if you use a 18650 (and a 18350 would be crap)
pretty sure they meant *removable* 18650...
maybe lol

but to my eyes the nano looks nearly the same diameter as the v3pro but just a little shorter.
Hopefully there will be some official info soon 🤞🏻
