The Angus Halogen Vape by YLL Vape

Here is a comparison review between the Angus and another halogen bulb vape, the Herbalizer. The result of the comparison is that these halogen vapes have a similar flavor, or signature, their calling it. By what I've read on here, there are some who don't like that taste. I think of the Davinci IQ and IQ2, which have a particular flavor signature that I haven't found in another vape, yet. I think that "Flavor Chamber" is the deal, there.
Review will not open , get message to retry.
Does it open for others?
Herbalizer owner and love it….

MinnBobber,
Finally received batteries I ordered for my Angus and was able to give it a try this evening.

Initial impressions are it's very good at providing cool vapor. Definitely the coolest vapor from any portable I've used without a WPA/bubbler.

Flavor is good. Gonna work on dialing in my temp preferences for my flower on hand.

Looking forward to using the Angus some more.

Cheers!

I have not noticed a change in the flavor in my Angus. I have had it for 2 months.
Me too. I like it.

I was a single vape guy for a year or 2 (VC+IH), but the Angus has worked into my daily routine nicely. I haven’t busted out my mV or WS in years, but imo the Angus is in the ballpark flavour wise.

My mV has pretty much fallen apart (I really should offer my Mephisto lid to this community some day). :brow: The WS I found too fiddly.

I am really surprised at how well this thing works with small amounts of herb! I can put 1/2 a bowl or less and it's blowing clouds right away. :tup:The bowl can hold a lot of herb so being able to use the vape with small amounts makes it more practical, easier to use, and easier on the stash! :leaf:

Hello to everyone,

I received my Angus today in the mail and I must say the flavor was very pronounced from the first hit; this was true, even at the highest temp. As Hasty has already said, the flavor the Angus brings out is indeed very pleasing. I would add the flavor Angus produces is unique in the world of portable vapes. It is a real beauty with the wood finish and the build quality feels real solid in the hand. My first impression is very positive. Let's hope it stays that way.

Having been able to use this device for a little over a week now, I must say the flavor is amazing. It is as good, maybe even better, flavor than my Airmax. This is gonna be my new terp chasing device. Cheers!

Alright, gonna preface this post with saying I am really high right now.

Now that I've cleared that up.

I have an observation about the Angus regarding flavor preference. I find the Angus to have good flavor with the standard cooling unit/mouthpiece. Using the WPA the flavor is great. Using the WPA with dosing caps is amazing. All of this of course assumes you're vaping decent weed with good terps.

Generally, with other vapes I've used the flavor diminshes, at least a bit, when using dosing capsules. So this is an oddity to me, but a welcomed one.

Anyone else have a noticeable preference for optimal flavor with the Angus?

What temps do you prefer, and how much do you load the chamber? If I use like 1/2 bowl, I'm getting fast, flavorful and complete extraction at temp 1 and finishing it off at 2. With a packed chamber, I have gotten 4 sessions out of it, with a lot of stirring, though. I use temp 2 more with a fuller bowl.

I don't know why I haven't gone up higher - all that good taste, I guess.

I generally keep it at temp 1. I gently fill with one light tamp. Love the flavor, so I keep temp at min.

I had the good fortune to win an Angus and a WPA , and am still a bit surprised, and needing to catch up on this thread. I ordered 4 batteries through @VGOODIEZ, and Mike is keeping me posted every step of the way. Already looking at my portables, wonder which will get demoted.

Hello everyone, how do people do their loading and unloading the bowl and cooling unit? Feel like my cooling unit in particular gets pretty clogged a lot quicker than I expected.

I try to give the cooling unit screen a few firm wipes with a strong paper towel(Bounty) as soon as the session is over while the screen is still hot and the build-up is soft.
This seems to reduce accumulation within the cooling unit.

Finally finished this thread, to this point.
It was real.
Batteries will be here Monday, and I have no idea about the Angus getting here. My brain has just about melted, so it's easy to be patient.
It has striking good looks, and looks like it would hurt if you dropped it on your foot.
Saw a mouthpiece I liked the looks of on @VGOODIEZ . The one with the rubies. Nice to look at. That's worth something. Will definitely snag one when I'm in a money slinging mood. Or when I order screens and stuff, for the many fine vapes I currently enjoy. There is always something wonderful to buy at @VGOODIEZ, plus, O-rings.

Added that to mine right away as well :D

Hello there,

For those who wish to protect their Angus and give it a unique character, I have designed a leather jacket especially for it :
-Easy to dress/undress with 3 snaps.
-2 holes for the button and the usb charge allow you to use the device with the jacket on its back.
-The flap protects the glass mouthpiece (from dirt and breakage) and stabilises the cooling unit.
-Handmade and hand dyed by me in my workshop.
-High quality full grain vegetable tanned leather

I have some units on my website and i can make custom orders with different colors.
Peace.
