JCVAP "Pockety"

I switch it up quite a bit. I don't usually go below 500F, maybe 495 sometimes when I'm really trying for the flavor on something tasty.
For native use im typically between 535 and 555F, I don't usually go above this temp natively. That being said 80% of the time I use it with an external water piece. With my water piece I usually aim for 1 hit extraction and set my temp anywhere from 555 to 635. Everyone has different preferences though. Also I believe your insert type matters. I have the SIC.

Curious what temp others are using? Appreciate feedback. Thanks
This will vary on the person and the material you are using
Thicker oils and rosins need higher temps
Thinner oils and crumbles can be better with lower temps

For crumbles and finer oils I use 490/506 ish
For rosins I use 525-545
For thicker oils like feco I use 630/640

I have been really enjoying the whip adaptor lately and the whip
I usually don't like whips, but using a proper bubbler I can one hit the dab while keeping the temps low

Proper dab hits and tasty af
The pockety has the power to keep up
Very impressive way to use it

Finally I got today my pockety. Thanks John for the fast shipping with dpd to EU and fast and responsive service via instagram…

I can not use it for some time, but as soon as I can I will give feedback here…

First look: looks sturdy, I thought it will be made out of plastic but seem like a sort of Metall and feels robust and like quality… also they now put something between brush and pockety in package so there are no scratches anymore on pockety…

Yea he started using foam as soon as I showed him people's scratched units

It is a plastic case, just not flimsy plastic, I pulled one apart (an empty case) and showed the pics elsewhere, you will be able to swap the dead batteries easy enough one day
Unless you got a special edition with new metal case
Hope you enjoy it soon when you get to test

Check out the cleaning video posted above somewhere to keep it running smoothly 🙂

@Quest how do you like the Straight Fab Bubbler?
How Is the quality of the glass and function? Does it make the unit top heavy?
I am really liking the Straight Fab. The glass has a nice thickness to it, already dropped once with no damage to the glass or internals. It doesn’t feel any more top heavy than the stock glass. I have the whip adapter, also, and I like it a lot. It’s great for hooking up to rigs or using hydrotubes, etc.

After using some fine/thin crumbles and oils I have found I can get some reclaim between the heater and insert
I now check this part and iso qtip clean every 20-40 dabs
The insert can suction to the heater base a little from the reclaim but spins if warmed
I slowly twist and pull gently until it eventually releases the vacuum

The chamber and deep clean I still can go a lot longer between proper cleaning
But with finer oils I am checking more regularly the heater and insert to prevent build up or glueing

With rosin I could go 100-200 dabs and the insert still slid out
The thin oils seem to create the build up quicker
Also using the whip and bubbler is most likely adding to this instance

20-40 dabs is still more than most other rigs I've used before needing maintenance at all

Sharing my experience and how I'm keeping my unit clean and functional with longevity

Also used my Ktype thermometer to check a working temp
466f is the equivalent of the picture in C
Hard to test too much hotter settings as my fingers start to burn holding the sensor in place

Pics in the link below as I can't upload here from my phone (mods this would be helpful if we could do so in FC 🙂)

Has anyone had luck contacting these guys through their website customer link? I'm having some issue with one of my units and I wanted to talk to them about some other things on my order. I have made a couple attempts through their portal and have not heard anything back. Hoping somebody can give me a different avenue.

I have also had zero luck with the website help feature, and also no replies to emails.

My last order arrived missing the straight fab bubbler and I have not been able to make contact about it after multiple attempts.

I particularly got a chuckle the second time when I read "we respond to all emails" lol. Perhaps there are issues with the system. Hopefully someone will offer an alternative method for us.

Have my Pockety since a few days now and I'm really happy with it!
The ruby dish doesn't need much cleaning at all, as others have mentioned already. Taste is amazing!
I run mine at 250C most of the time.

I have a question that you guys can probably answer: If i want to use a Puffco Carb cap, can I use it directly? Or do I need to get another gasket or something else? Thanks in advance!

I was able to get a hold of them over there. He indicated they are a small company and it's hard to keep up with all the messages from different platforms. I gave him a piece of advice to focus on making sure folks who contact you through the website are taken care of first and turn off messaging wherever you have the ability to do so on the other platforms.

I have a few of these units so I am able to swap atty's back and fort. It's been useful in narrowing down the problem but I am still getting some odd behavior here and there. I plan to do a full on clean (once again) with both units and see if I can get the atty wires set properly again. He sent me your video actually. Hopefully he is taking care of you as it's clear you are doing a good job of looking out for them.
