Watch @VGOODIEZ website. As soon as they have the new cooling units in stock they will list the Angus as being in stock.

I have a suggestion for @YLLVAPE OFFICAL perhaps send a new Angus to @Shit Snacks and @jasp3r for evaluation with the understanding that they will return one. That may give us clarity on whether the units that our "super sniffers" (just a joke!! just a joke!!) received or something that we should all be concerned about.

Personally, I like my Angus and use it daily, alongside my TM2.

As I mentioned previously, I would like the haptics made stronger.

I do have a problem believing that YLLvape gave the Angus too much of a beta test before our original 10 ten users got their Angus'.

How else can we explain that the units were shipped with instructions advising an overnight ISO soak when even diluted ISO discolors the cooling unit?

I am also incredulous at the thought that in the 6 weeks since the Angus was available there was a problem discovered with cooling units melting, the reason was found, a new solution was found, the factory re-tooled to change production, the factory made the new parts and the new cooling units were in our members' hands?

Perfect, going to keep an eye out thanks. Once the bugs are worked out this looks like it will be a great little vape! Herbalizers always intrigued me with the whole halogen concept so this might have to make its way onto my buy list.

I have always wanted to try an Herbalizer too. You can also try the HLT for only about $80. It's a fantastic introduction to halogen.

I have two of them from different releases. You can build it from the BoM, but it is a bit more expensive. Mostly because you need to buy a lot more of some items than you actually need. Sometimes it only takes a little prompting for Red on the discord. Although he has been pretty busy lately.

Here is the deal. It's tight, when the unit is cold it's difficult to put the stem in. After I heat the unit until ready with the CU on, to trap the heat, it's way easier to insert the stem and I feel comfortable it's not going to get stuck or break. And with a stem load I was belting TM size clouds. It will also work with oven loads.

@sickmanfraud I agree that would be nice, then we might know if there was a problem with the assembly of our specific units we received initially, although I have not attempted to file a warranty claim, figured it would have to be a negotiation with them to get them to send one to make sure I have a good working one before sending this one back, understandably a lot of manufacturers would not want to do that although many would after some convincing lol so I have not felt like going down that rabbit hole? (yet)

My man! I knew you would figure this out, yeah I think that o-ring is literally part of the assembly just so the top of the chamber is airtight with the body of the Angus? See similar clear o-rings in a lot of metal chambers on other vapes at the top, but yeah if it's not for glass stem loading then it is a poor choice imo

Anyway I'll hit you up on Instagram, and send over some cash, wondering if you could also make me one that is a WPA tip for more modularity? Since the vapor can be quite harsh for me I'm not sure I could handle it direct so well at even the lowest temp here, though I'm obviously down to test and see! I don't think it's a problem that you have to warm up the Angus first before inserting the stem, probably a good way to do it anyway

This thing feels like a beta release for me. I still think the device has a future. None of the issues are hard to solve imo. The underlying principle of a portable halogen vape with replaceable batteries is solid. Execution is lacking currently.

They were taken down and are just today relisted. All the new CU's finally landed and have been sent out. Since we have the new CU's we just reopened stock on the Angus today.

This looks insane. I just got mine today. I know this question may not have nothing at all to do with this pic but what batteries u say I should buy for it? I haven't used it yet because I have a bunch of 18650 batteries I haven't charged in over 3 years so I didn't wanna charge any of them and use them. So which batteries should I get for it? Thank you

Just check your cells voltage. If they are still above 3V (heck even 2.5V could do) they are probably still fine. Li-Ion have a relatively good self-discharge rate. If on the other hand they plummeted below 2.5V, then yes they are permanently damaged and should be recycled.

Don’t forget proper cell MATCHING, as has been mentioned in this thread. For devices that charge 2 batteries (2S), it’s always recommended to start with two new or already matched batteries…..

And for those curious about that bowl oring, it seems to seal the white section of the bowl with the metal section of the bowl. Maybe they could've sealed it in a more inert way but I have no issues with it myself.

Since we saw that they are likely balance charging the pair (at least there are two balance taps, but I believe it's for redundancy as a single one would be enough for 2S1P right?) there is a possibility that the MCU (or BMS) is also doing per-cell discharge monitoring. So maybe it wouldn't be too bad to have mismatched cells, compared to other units that are solely measuring the summed voltage.

That being said, your advice is always valid and should be preferred over relying on a protection circuit or logic (or worse my assumption that it could potentially exist lol)

Yeah, it was listed as "Out Of Stock" before Christmas back when this started. AFAIK that's a common way to make something not for sale without removing it from the product database, especially if it's a temporary situation. I could also be full of Pooh

I hope they consider a 21700 for V2. I don’t know if the battery is really an issue, but I don’t like thinking about battery safety and making a mistake while high.
