is it more effective to begin with the temperature dial low like 4 and then increase by 1 for each hit or is it fine if you go just to 7 and take all hits from there?

and is it normal that if you put the dial at around 7 that after some time the stock stem already gets so hot that you can't keep your lips on it?

Think of the dial as how quick to extract, if you start at 7, for me with a good size bowl that will extract well, you're only going to get one hit really... I start lower on the dial, and I turned it up tiny bit by tiny bit, between the number settings, every little part of the dial is part of the temp control range, this is how I get the most out of a bowl, milking great flavors and thick paper over several hits with small amount in basket screen (I haven't used the stock setup with cooling unit in a very long time, this is with aftermarket glass cooling stems or WPA in hook or dry glass) I take longish hits especially on the lower end, deep inhale, keep going after letting go of the button to fully clear the heat and vapor

I just love kicking back and relaxing with this vape. On-Demand is such a game changer for me. My bud is lasting longer and I’m able to meter my high like never before 🥳

Nobody responded to my shipping thread question. Can you recall how long it took to receive your GVB stem when you purchased it?

It usually only takes a few days, you should have tracking, no one responded because there wasn't an answer, I mean the answer was no so it didn't really feel like worthy of a response but you could start a new thread, in the glass section, if you want for good vibes, like someone else did for gooroo though there's not much activity there (I haven't really ordered direct cold from the site I talked to him a lot on IG since I ordered so much regularly apparently lol) anyway of course it also depends where you are too?

will you get higher when you slowly extract the bowl by slowly going the dial up compared to just one hit at temp 7?

So I got to try my brandnew TM2 yesterday for the first time after a 2 months break. And I must say I'm quite impressed. With everything.
The unit feels much more solid and is way smaller than I had expected. Build quality feels superior both the ss and wood.
I tested with as low as 0.04g an the roast was even and even with that small amount I got some "huge" clouds.

I only have a few questions left:
1. My unit is buzzing when pressing the heat button. Is this normal? I can hear it in a fairly quiet room without having to have it in my face. (To calrify I don't mean the regular "I'm ready vibration" - I mean a buzzing when holding the button and the heater is doing it's work)
2. How can I protect the heater possibly best from falling herb/reclaim? I had the same concern with the tetra P80, where I therefor just used capsules.
3. Regarding question 2: Are the official TM capsules worth it? Mesh or solid?
4. Any reputable glass stems (preferably with beads in it) from EU?

I know probably all of the questions have been answered somewhere in this thread but it is HUGE. Maybe someone can find the time to answer regardless.

So far I'm quite happy with my 279 € purchase.

Hey,
1. Yeah, there's "silent mode" in TM1 and I think also for TM2.. if u need 100% silent
2. there's a screen which protects the heater
3. Dunno..I don't use these
4. i only know from USA (GVB/TRWW/Highartisian)

Yes. it's normal. (I'm assuming you mean the faint hum when you press "on", not the haptic buzz)

I used to be super-paranoid about this because of it was a concern with the Hopper vape. But I use my TM in a j-hook nearly all the time and the unit is upside-down so that keeps stuff from falling into the oven. If I'm on the move or visiting I don't use the j-hook and for a while I inserted a rimmed basket screen to keep particles out. But then I did some experimenting and discovered that the material tends to hold together pretty well, especially after you've taken a hit. So, to boost my comfort level when vaping with the unit right side up I just blow through the end of the filled tube before I put it in the chamber to consolidate the load a bit – probably unnecessary. As GoldenBud points out, the heater is well-screened, and I imagine any particles get dried out pretty quickly and get pulled through the stem when you inhale. One possibility to watch out for is taking a humungous hit and then coughing into the stem, which would blow material back into the heater, so be alert and make sure to get the thing out of your mouth quickly if you feel a cough coming on.

Re: the buzzing, mine buzzes quite loudly also but I eliminate most of it by tightening down the battery. I usually notice it more when it's loose.
I've found that somewhere else in this thread.
Unfortunately I can't tighten it any further. Buzzing noise is still there.
I just want to be assured that this is fairly normal and no need to worry about? Or even warranty case?

As I said, it's normal:

The heater of tinymight makes some noise while active. It is a result of the high surface area and low mass of the high powered heater. Switching of current to the heater causes small vibrations that can be heard.

As others have said it's normal. If it bothers you don't use it in a quiet room?

There's a video from Jerry and Troy where Troy's unit is buzzing like crazy and his mic is picking it up. I saw it on youtube. I can dig it up for you if you want. It's a pretty long video, but they talk about it. Troy even holds it up to the mic and then you can really hear it. My TM2 makes a very quiet buzzing noise while heating, but most of my electronic vapes make some sort of noise.

DC powered electronic devices control power levels by turning the power on and off really fast. Look up "PWM power" if you are curious. Sometimes the frequency of the pulsing is in the audible range and you can hear it. It's not a problem, this gets reported for lots of vapes.

The only time I saw a black HA MP was on IG, for a custom order. And I don't think HA does custom orders anymore.
I've seen them in drops but they must only release one at a time. There wasn't one in this last drop but there were mouthpieces.
