Before someone gets offended, I recently rated the TM2 as one of the greatest of all time, yet I rated the stock stem and cooling unit as horrific. TM2 needs third party artisan stems to shine.

I think the main body of this thing is brilliant. I think once other options for cooling units come out, from YLL or third parties, this vape will kick ass.

I would love to see something that maintains the full size of the bowl. Putting a stem directly into it is using smaller bowl of the stem.

The large bowl size is one of the major plus points for me.

Yeah if it was something like healthy rips Fierce stem that could fit perfectly, the bowl can be deeper with honeycomb glass screen, but yeah slightly narrower or diameter of course.. that would be better if the bowl was wider for that.

As is using 14 mm male joint in the o-ring with a screen, it has become the mouthpiece and I can still use the steel bowl, which I'm not so thrilled about, for my needs, and it does restrict the air flow a bit more narrowly, but perhaps a proper connection, with a magnetic sheath, holding glass stem that sealed against the o-ring to the top of the chamber, can be done well...

Stayed away from FC while waiting for my Angus so I missed all the drama. Yesterday was a great day. Got my Angus and Brute from Pipes on the same time. The Angus has been great so far. Had about 5 or 6 bowls from it. There was some smell from the cooling top but I went through a burn off cycle .... blowing through the air intake and then tried a few of my favorite herbs. It seems right away that this has the potential to replace my Mighty in the rotation. Flavor is better than ALP and the Mighty and right up there with my two favorite devices: Splinter Z and Firefly. However it's a much more robust Had a few more bowls and still really like it. 2 questions:

1) It appeared to freeze up with the LED showing it in Temp 4 but it really wasn't heating, nor could I change temps. Had to take BOTH batteries out to before a "hard reset" I guess, and then it worked fine. Not a great sign, anyone have that experience?

2) Was it suppose to come with a WPA? Ive seen a lot of pics of the metal ones....

The thing Unklmark made seems like a good alternative. I personally like the discretion and cooling that comes stock. If there was a way to get those same aspects plus the extra bonuses of safety and a much better screen that'd be freakin awesome. The nice thing about this unit is that it doesn't need a TON of cooling to stay very comfortable to use.

No, this was an extra accessory you could have ordered with it, welcome back bud!

Yeah, although I believe his design still kept the o-ring above the chamber (that is between the steel bowl and white plastic) in the vapor path... Also it's not like he is making them for anyone else anyway lol

1) My unit arrived today, powered on while I did the burn off. Plugged it in, wandered away, came back to see the light flashing a solid ring. No amount of resetting/ removing batteries has fixed it. Seems like its my luck this week to find the lemon; oh well! Waiting to see what Mike has to say about repair/replace.
2) I believe the WPA is an add-on purchase

Was just about to try that one...

But oh my, FW7 owners, I think we have a winner! Dimpled FW7 stem and a BB6 (WPA version ) from Dynavap both fit GREAT. With no additional o-ring needed. Just a nice press fit seal. And should make it even more of a convection device with glass insulating flower from any heat on the sides of the chamber.

No Scooby Snacks if ground flower is well packed.

And killer for fans of loading tiny unground nugs. Just changed strains but initial wildly enthusiastic reaction: the best unground tiny nug vaping experience I've ever had. Obviously greater and more systematic comparisons are needed.

But damnnnnn.

Glass vapor path. Tried it like this with my Prophet. Nice with flavor of course but extraction is less even.

I think the ideal wpa would come in 14mm and 18mm male glass joints. It would shield the exposed oring with glass. It would fit nice screens. Magnetic attaching would be awesome.

Big thanks to Soothing Vapors for my order with a WPA. @Grover was very quick to answer questions after hours and ship my order out the next morning.

Initial impressions:
The Angus is a good looking device. The top and bottom look and feel surprisingly nice for plastic, and with the shiny metal line and wood body, it all comes together nicely. Under OCD level examination the edges are not perfectly flush but that's minor. I love the knot on my device, wood always has personality.

To clean, I did a quick ISO rinse and then water flush of all parts (no grease observed by my naked eye). Watch those magnets though, I picked a couple teeny metal fibers off mine.

I did 2 burnoffs at max temp for good measure and then had 2 back to back sessions with the WPA. A lot of my 18mm male stems won't fit for some reason but I really enjoyed the Elev8r stem (thanks for the reminder @BingsBuddery ) and later my Lamart bent neck.

I thought I read a comment about having to time the three button presses more slowly to turn the vape on, but I have no issues. I have to literally play Tekken on the side of the Angus to outsmart the internal circuitry. It's a very simple and straightforward device to operate imo.

I like the case and the included accessories, they'll keep me going for quite a while. The WPA is a must imo but I feel that way about WPA's in general.

I need more time to judge the flavor but so far with the 2 setups above it was good. A halogen heater has a different signature I'm sure, and I wonder how hot the bowl gets i.e. conduction heating. With so many variables, I'll need to do more testing

. I'll try out the cooling unit at some point and report back but I'd rather get rid of it all like that sweet setup @Unklmark68 has. The Angus looks so damn good under the hood anyways; I want to expose those shiny battery knobs and top in all their glory.

does anyone else's unit shut off when it gets set down on the table? i mean i shouldn't have to be so delicate with this i don't think. This is a little more gently than I'd set a glass on a granite counter, the recording is just very loud for some reason.

I should mention that I am the guy that dropped his so it's likely because of that if this isn't a common issue.

I had similar issue with apollo after a fall. in my case it was due to spring contact being pushed by the battery and flattened as much as to not make a firm contact anymore.after that a little shock was enough to cut circuit off. lucky for me i was able to bend back the springy contact and that solved the issue

I swear I saw a video somewhere showing the "hands" using the tweezers to "lever" the inserted piece out. I just can't remember where, or if it was a dream, or if I hallucinated it, or actually figured out after multiple (lots of) bowls

Unlock the ring and hook the pointy/hooked end of the tweezers under the ring lip but around the central column. That way it serves to give you the leverage to gently tilt the bottom piece out.

As always, VGEZ comes in clutch. Angus is gettin replaced and I'm sending mine back to them so they can "dedicate time to disassembly," which I assume means we're getting a real in depth tear down of this thing! We'll see what happens.
