get used to the lighter convection vapor
Try not packing at all (sprinkle fill), do a couple of hard mouth pulls to warm things up then pull long and hard to get some good clouds. Another trick with convection-orientated vapes is to place your ground herb on a piece of paper or cardboard for a short period to help dry the herb a bit more...I believe conduction vapes use the warm up to help with that.

Hi!
Question for the rep(s), is Olimpiafit.pl an official retailer/reseller? Just wondering, before I make a purchase. His units are priced quite nicely :)
Thanks
Hi, I asked to our Sales Manager but don't expect reply before next week, sorry for the delay but I never heard about this retailer before (but this is not means it's not a good one!), stay tuned!
The heater smell was mostly gone so I gave it a wiff with som Rythim Afternoon delight #7 (a first time for me).

It's cloudy production is weak. As a convention vape it's kind of new to me. Pales against the craft+. Even the Argo produced more. BUT.....it hits harder then it looks. Maybe not to Crafty levels but hits hit me harder than from the Argo (but nowhere like a dynavap).

It does get hot holding however. Not so bad as to bother me, but there.

As I am always trying to hide my vaping from my teenagers (I told them when I got my medical card). I feel it is moderately stealthy on par with Crafty but not Argo.

I prefer to Argo as the hits are harder. Taste is nice not better than clean Crafty though. Definitely wispy.
I think investment in water piece may be a good addition or even a J hook to the water pipe adapter. Any suggestions.

Using POTV dosing caps and work great. Probably reason I will keep it. It's strong enough to get you high, decent light vapor, nice setup to use, even cook.

If I had to do again would have just bought Tiny Mite but will probably just use this one for a while.

Excuse the misspellings. High after all.
I'm glad the taste is fine now, about the vapor production, please understand this vaporizer is quite different than your others, it's full convection!
This is means you have to build vapor by taking loong draws, start to inhale slowly for 7-8s and increase your drawing rate for the rest, in short, the more you draw the bigger the vapor... unlike conduction vape who need time between hits to build vapor, and the hit consists to clear the vapor built before. Yes, with your others vapes you just have to wait to get good vapor, this is will not work with a convection vaporizer, you'll have the vapor you worked for!
As well convection prefer loose loads, don't pack the bowl like your others vapes, not fully loaded too... to get enough room will help the hot air stream to reach every trichomes in your nice flowers. I think the V3Pro is handling every type of grind (even no-grind!) perfectly, although, for big clouds, prefer to use fine grind.
Last trick consist to wait 30-40s after the unit reached the set temperature, this is allow heater to "heat soak", before first hit only.

Edit: @LesPlenty advices are pretty good too, too much moisture can slow down the extraction, I noticed his technic different than mine, try both and report us your tests!
I'm confident you'll master it, with convection there is a learning curve. Let me know if you are looking for more infos, have fun!

Thanks for replying, I'll wait for the answer =)
Also great tips here and very nice explanation about convection vs conduction usability, I think there's no device out there without a small learning curve to it, just gotta find your rhythm with a certain device, it's like riding a bicycle, won't forget it once you learn

Yes, this should be mandatory on a vape like the v3 pro. But on more powerful high-end convection vapes, I prefer the herb to have a normal amount of moisture content because it makes for smoother hits with no harshness, and those vapes are powerful enough to overcome the "extraction resistance" brought about by hitting moist herbs.

I have a Crafty+ and a Mighty. This baby keeps pace at a fraction of the price. I use it with a Davinci glass spacer to reduce the oven size a bit.
Clouds a-plenty at rather low temps due to the convection. draw speed and depth is the art of obtaining a THC rich lungful of euphoria. Tasty, too.

Not all herb is at 60-62% (once cured I store my stash with 62% Boveda packs but need to try some 58% packs specifically for convection use), some herb can be a bit on the high RH side to add weight when unregulated supply is the only supply. I find no difference in smoothness by letting the ground herb sit on paper for a few minutes before vaping and it helps with most vapes to get vapor a little quicker, especially with convection orientated vapes, even my wall-powered 120w Plenty...I did smoke spliffs for many decades (FC for near 5 years?)so most vapes are smooth to me...dry concentrates over 500f do more than tickle though.

Thank you for the kinds words, it's a pleasure to read a such feedback, is the load is filled before the spacer comes on the top of the load? Or do you insert the spacer first and flowers on its top...? Always interesting to read new tricks. Although I don't think you need to use a spacer, please try to load as small you want and let the rest empty, no need for a filler... let us to know if this works (no need to pack down the load, keep it loose and airy), have fun!

ps: I have the spacer you mentionnand I'll give a try to your trick on my side!

Yes, letting it sit out a few mins will make a difference and be very worth it on the V3 Pro while not adding any harshness.
But there is a huge difference in smoothness between herb at 60% and herb that has been dried to crispy levels. It might not matter on the V3 Pro with it's ceramic maze pathway, but on my Dynavap it's a night and day difference.

I’m debating whether or not getting this vape. I’d use it with CBD and capsules.
My other convection portable, the Tinymight, is plain horrible with capsules, extraction is halved to say the least.
Is it any better with Xmax v3 pro?
Capsules are on the tiny side, but still enough for me. I hope extraction is almost the same using capsules or not. Is it?
Thanks in advance.

The extraction using the V3Pro+caps is pretty similar than with direct load style extraction, although the added mass slow down the first hits a little, but, by the end of the session, the load looks similarly extracted by looking at the abv color. The V3Pro use a convection heater with turbulent airflow (in opposition with laminar airflow), this is means you need to keep the load loose in order the hot air reaches every trichomes in your flowers, laminar airflow prefers a tight pack in order the hot air to be "forced" through the load but the V3Pro don't work like that.
When it comes to CBD it's all a matter of quality of flowers, I noticed the same strain to get severals phenotypes, and some of them looks like hemp produced to make fibers, very small and airy flowers which doesn't produce a lot of vapor, while others are dense and flavorfull flowers producing vapor like THC strains... This is the beginning of CBD flowers and we can expect to get better strains in the next years!

Hope you'll get the V3Pro, we would be so pleased to count you as one of our customers! I see you here since so many years!

Have fun!

i placed he referenced spacer below the load. my take on the situation is that if it is true convection it should not matter whether the spacer is above or below load, so
why be inconvenienced by removing the spacer continuously?
i've tried both ways now and my opinion is that there is no difference
what pray tell do you think?

You are right, it's a lot more convenient to put the spacer first. Did you noticed a difference with the spacer than without... ? I still not tested your trick sadly.

Thank you @XMAXVAPORIZER I received my V3 Pro state side. I’m doing a little Saturday morning wake and bake with my new device and comparing it to the two other electronic portable vapes I have. The Fury Rouge and the Davinci IQ. The V3 is putting out some really nice clouds and is smooth for a vape with such a short air path. I’m definitely looking forward to ripping this through a WPA. I’m a big fan of dosing capsules and these work really well and are built of the same quality as the Fury dosing capsules. Flavor is good and comparable to my other two evapes. I tend to pick up a lot of conduction flavors in vapes like this. I’ll describe it as a more robust earthy flavor. I cleaned everything prior to use and am very pleased that I’m not picking up any strange infiltrating flavors from the device.

Again, thank you. I can wait to share this budget friendly vape with some of my combusting friends.

My 3 week review. Best vapor production without capsules, but enough with.
Very happy overall. Best sub $200 vape I have owne budget and I would say crafty is better vape. Sub $100 budget, get dynavap M. But between those two price ranges this is very very good.

I should add I can see some people preferring this over crafty.

I'm a new owner of this vape. I bought it as a 'vacation' vape. Something to travel with that I won't cry if I lose. It was ~$90 on sale at POTV. After a week I'm liking it much more than I thought I would. It fits my style of vaping very well. I like small doses. This has a small bowl that I put 0.1g into. I like pure convection vaping. That's what this does, at least in on-demand mode, which is what I use. It heats up in about 10-12 seconds from cold. Not immediate, but not bad. The vapor is cooler than I expected. I hate coughing but want a full-flavored, robust hit. This does the job.

I also got the WPA and have used it with my J-hook. For sitting around at home, that is becoming my favorite way to use the vape. Set it to 428 and go at it. Nice hits, smooth, no coughing.

It's easy to keep clean (as far as I can tell after a week). I give it an alcohol/qtip cleaning at the end of the day and maybe once a week I disassemble the moutpiece and put the parts in a shot glass with some alocohol. After an hour or two rinse them and I'm done.

When a larger company decides to do an inexpensive vape but doesn't skimp on design and engineering this is what you get. I like it.

This is what it is about. A simple, inexpensive device that actually performs amazingly well. The praise is well deserved.

Last year I picked up several vapes. Which one is best? That is a question that has never been answered because 'best' depends on a lot of different variables. The type of flower, how dry it is, and a host of other factors affect how a vape works. Time and mood; sometimes quick and easy trumps everything. The type of effects vary conduction versus convection. It is difficult to decide on the best, and it is just nice to have variety.

A few months ago, my V3 Pro sat idle in a drawer for months. It was not my favourite. Conduction vapes seemed to pack a heavier punch than convection, so the Flowermate and Starry spent a lot of time connected to the bong. Bongs make things better, but that is a lot of junk sitting on the table. By comparison, the V3 Pro is simple. The flavour is decent, it is simple to load, and it is a pleasure to use just as it is. Pack, heat, enjoy; some days, simplicity is a benefit.

The one thing about convection, and the V3 Pro, is that the smell is not as harsh as conduction. The Starry can be heated to 464F; when the Starry is out, the neighbours notice, the house stinks, and it is a different smell. The Flowermate can go to 446F, the smell is not as strong, but those around me say it stinks too. It seems the higher the temperature, the stronger the smell.

Of the three convection vapes in the drawer, the V3 was the least expensive. It is also the one that has seen the most use.

The price of everything seems to be going up, but the V3 Pro has been sitting around $100 CDN both online and in the local shops here in Edmonton. If someone is wondering if it is worth a try, it is.

Picked one up off Reddit on the cheap as I've seen so many positive reviews and I MUST CONCUR!

I saw it came w a concentrate cup. Figured I wouldn't waste my time but any give it a go?

Do people usually just charge the batt it came with (this one is baby blue)? Or are you swapping and charging externally (what I've always done since I have a ton)?

I think w the USB C I'll probably just plug it in.

ETA:. THE BUILT-IN STIRRER IS A NICE TOUCH!

Have tried mine with its frit disk, didn’t work at all, I think they changed it later. Fury 2 or Edge mesh pad works better, but it’s not really a good concentrate device.

I use externally charged batteries, I think someone said it takes like 5 hours to charge internally.

Hi, I'm glad you finally received your prize, sorry for the delays. Thank you for the kinds words about the device, we hope it will fit your vaping routine despite we can see you have an already big vaporizers collection (I love it how much you put attention in the details and how your Woodscent tones correspond to your Flowerpot handle and DC tones, yes amazing!). Feel free to contact me for infos, tips&tricks or support! Have fun!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I appreciate the short story, I agree I enjoyed a lot more the conduction vapes when I entered in the vapor game cause the similar hit which reminded me combustion hits... although it was 10 years ago and the market wasn't so vast than now and the 2012 convection vaporizers was difficult to deal with (Thermovapes was the leader of the portable convection vaping at this time), I think there is a lot of easy to use full convection devices at the moment, the V3Pro is one of them!

Great, I appreciate the kinds words about the device!
The wax cup is designed to sip flavorfull hits but it doesn't stand for big clouds, for bigger vapor use coton/hemp fibers/mesh to soak your concentrate in and throw the ball in the chamber with high t° settings, let us to know!
I suggest to charge the battery in the device, I think there is enough power for a whole day/night, frequent removals cause scratches on the battery's wrap. Be carefull to rewrap a such damaged battery (you can find rewraps for cheap online).
Be carefull with the built-in stirrer, it's not designed to be used in a hot chamber since it's made of plastic, please wait for the chamber cool-down before to use it. Enjoy your V3Pro!
I use externally charged batteries, I think someone said it takes like 5 hours to charge internally.
5 hours...!! No I don't think it's so long, I would say 3 hours when put on charger with still two bars left and 4 with less bars, I suggest to put it back on the charger when 2/3 bars rest. As well be carefull when removal/insert the battery to don't damage the wrap, that's why I suggest to recharge in the device and to remove only when you can't do anything else, frequent removals may damage the wrap, have fun and thank you for sharing&helping, it's great!

5 hours...!! No I don't think it's so long
I tried to find it in this thread, but it was taking too long to search so I googled it.

Found this @ https://www.vaporizerwizard.com/reviews/vaporizers/portable/xmax-v3-pro/
Don’t know what they charged it from maybe a IPad or a treadmill generator with a 3 legged hamster running on it. :rofl:I’m not saying it does, don’t know, just read it.

“During testing the average time to fully charge a dead battery is around 5 hours. Yes, you read that right. It takes 5 hours to fully charge a dead battery in the XMAX V3 Pro vaporizer. It’s not uncommon for replaceable battery systems to take this long to charge but I was hoping for something a little faster with the included USB-C charging. With that said, if you are a heavier user or you think you’ll be using it for more than a handful of bowls in a day’s time, I highly recommend picking up an external battery charger so you can charge multiple batteries outside of the vaporizer and quicker.”
