I have two other torches to test out, an Honest pencil torch - Here
Nice, that's the same pencil one I got and the single flame is plenty big enough
Point taken. Was hoping that the Anvil might be the solution for not having to send my combustion friends out into our sub zero Canadian winters to get high. Probably a better idea is to purchase a couple more and let them experiment on their own. Wasn't this exactly how my DV collection got started?
Truly. With regard to the sharing question @seki makes a good point about the bowl only being about .1g too. Imagine a .5 or 1g Anvil
after re-inserting the spiral I'm finding it to be much more comfortable.
Interesting, thanks!
I also placed my order today, very excited to try it out. I got the purple heat shield and half bowl as well. Wondering what torch now… I have a single flame torch and a quad flame torch, will that suffice?
You want a single that can get big. The two I like under twenty bucks:

Solid copy!

How big did your set the flame, and using the bright inner blue tip as reference, what distance from the Thermal Battery do you have it at?

I did a full day of only hitting the Anvil natively. I’m always heating on the battery or second copper band, so it’s always super roasty
almost too hot to take for me. Thought I combusted a few times but never did after checking.

Tried the little single flame micro blazer outside and it was a little too small to get good heatup. But it gets kind of windy here. Hit the battery and only got a mild hit. Second hit was good And spent.
The Firefox torch showed up though today and it’s a lot easier for outside heating now!

im thinking about getting a second anvil or one for my bro at least!
I’m digging the clean look of the silver heat shield now, probably will have to buy one lol.

I need to post a video of my condenser chamber bowl fitting, want to see if anybody else has the same thing going on.
makes It a pain to try and hit swap!

Hey brother email John and he will help you out, your Chamber may be off a bit from clamping. John is aware and made some changes to how things clamp on the machine, send him an email and he should send ya a new chamber

Sounds like your chamber is snapping into the condenser and locking

If interested, Anvil review @ Don’t Worry Vape Happy.

I have to admit, I have rammed my Anvil into my Reload oven first, like I was loading a Dynavap--but then I cleaned that all out and started over. I don't think I'm going to try Ryan's technique of just threading the chamber into that mess and going for it.

Yes this is exactly what is happening, it’s clamping to the chamber. Thanks whiff I’ll reach out.

Nice!

I can eyefuck the flame's size from your pic here.
Hahahha
I would say around 1/2 inch then heat the empty chamber at 90 degrees like in the pic and see how long it takes to click, i like a 45 sec click on thermal battery for a great estratto with great flavour. If you want a darker roast then i would turn up the torch and aim for a 30-35 sec click on the thermal battery.
I posted a few recommended times on previous pages but if you havent seen it let me know and i will post them for you

My waitlist email came up. I’m seriously considering buying another Anvil to keep in my shop. I really dig the red and it sure would be convenient. I’m starting to wonder, is the Anvil going to be like my DynaVap problem?
I thought hard about a second too. But decided better to get it in hands of folks without any. Fun times to be a vape enthusiast.

@Texus you sir are to kind. As I sit here and contemplate another Anvil purchase, I’ve decided if I do I’ll just get another Silver Mist… WTF is wrong with me, I’m remembering mention of the Founders Edition upgrade kit. @Whiff have you heard any mention of this becoming available?

I've had the Anvil from Monday now, and I love it. I use it for micro-dosing, that I use to reduce muscle spasms and pain (MS). So I'm looking for consistency and efficient medication. The Anvil is great for that (as was John's intention). I did have to get over my "torch hesitation" and I still don't like using butane. I suspect an induction heater would need to have substantial power to load the thermal battery, so the torch it is)

What I like is the consistency once you've gotten the hand of your torch's power. I have a xikar quad and a gefu kitchen torch. Both are good but you need to know how to work them.

I bought the half bowl and for microdosing during the day it's excellent. I'm amazed at how good the extraction is.

I think the case is a necessity for handling the Anvil.
