Just passed by here to say I've been hitting the half bowl native and I just have to say it so inpressive and not that irritating to the throat. I find my enano hit is warmer with a longer stem so it is worth a try, and the hits will make you think you combusted until u taste that it wasn't.

I take only 2 to 3 dabs a day now, can't believe I'm saying this but I pull my dynavap out for seshes now lol and my anvil by my side.

Another day with the Anvil.
IMG_20220106_113012.jpg

I notice few things that could be in reflexion for the future version :
Regarding the condenser, depending on the setting of the airflow, it protrudes from the MP (see photo) so I think it could be a little shorter to never exceed. However, I like the fact that only the condenser gets dirty, it's easy to clean.
About the screen, sometimes i have particles of herbs in my mouth, which is never very pleasant, then maybe a system "vortex" would block them in addition to its initial function (which will be useful when used dry.)

About the airflow, the mark is sometimes not very visible, especially after a few bowls ...
Especially, I wonder if there could not be a slight blocking system because for the moment, I lose my setting involuntarily during the various manipulations. I have already "missed" one or the other bowl because the airport was either too open or too closed and I had not yet included this check in my ritual.
Speaking of rituals, I really like the loading/unloading of the bowls with the magnetic lid, it's well done, you can chain the bowls while the oven is still hot.
Then I also loaded 2-3 times the oven instead of the bowl (like a dynavap)...and yes there it's the opposite, we load the cap. A proof that the Anvil is efficient?

All of these comments are shared here to support the manufacturer and not to criticize his work, as has been mentioned here. They may be superfluous, but in any case they don't hinder the proper functioning of the device.

Love the setup I need to get myself a j hook or something similar.
I agree with the airflow it not exactly easy to see. I to forget to check my airflow and depending how you pack it makes a difference and have gone in really restricted but hey we learn from our mistakes.

Got mine. I'll post some more thoughts later. But right off the bat even with my underpowered torch, I have no doubts, the Anvil is worth the price of admission. It MILKS. All it takes is one hit, and you are knocked out with a cashed bowl. Yes, the hype is real.

@Vestratto after seeing in person how the current magnet is mounted into the stand, I think the matching magnet to the one I previously posted would be a better fit. It's slightly more expensive at $2.49 but it's more than twice as thick at 3.175mm, which I think is closer to the thickness of the one now in use. Just leaving a link here in case you haven't already looked around the website at the different magnets or missed this one.

Just got mine delivered; all good but, it does have cosmetic issues in the copper just like some of the previous post show. It's been addressed and as long as there are no effects on the performance or longevity of the device I'm fine with it.

Tried the half-bowl and I'm in a really good state of mind, love the effects. Super thick milky clouds. I actually thought it was a little warm and harsh to be honest but maybe that was due to my inhale. More testing is required.

Taste was above average and stayed in my mouth a little longer than most other vapes. So far I am impressed with this device and glad I jumped on it. Already received an email with shipping info for my replacement tube and airflow valve.

Yeah same I wish I could just drive over and buy one in person tbh. I wonder if there’s any plans to stock a local shop

What I meant to say clearly if I didn't say it was all upgrades to get all of you to a "release quality" unit will be at my expense. If someone is pulling out the 50X magnifier I may start to call BS and I hope everyone is reasonable.

I know that I would be pissed if I bought something at release and was orphaned. For Vestratto the feedback, criticism, suggestions from everyone is just making the unit better for the long haul. its marketing gold as it were. I am indebted to you guys for taking the chance and I will not leave you behind. My strategy is to make a positive impact on this community and take that momentum forward. I'm hoping in a month all of you would be able to honestly give me a good review.

The Anvil is a beast. Its performing really well. It was hand made by me. Some of them have warts. But I can now delegate to professionals and call BS if I have to because I have learned, and executed every process. You can't manage what you can't do is a decent motto. No matter your opinion if you talk to me you're providing me great feedback and learning and in return for that invaluable information I will be getting everyone in the Launch to release revision quality. I need to know what I need to fix beyond Cosmetic issues because that horse has ridden. I am so familiar with the Anvil that I know my objectivity is biased. Thats why getting out to a bigger audience is really critical (scary) to find the issues I don't even encounter because my rituals are established my way.

Please beat the crap out of your Anvils and let me know what I can do better on function or whatever else you think I should focus on in the future. You've bought the vape I wanted to build and trusted me to deliver. Now I want to improve the Anvil with your help to be the vape you would use as your daily driver. Then put that Anvil back in your hands to say thank you for being the Brave Few. Any upgrades I make to get to release standard you will all get.

Twisted logic is that if by the end of the month I know I have a winner in the Anvil I can pull out the stops and really get going. If I don't get my ducks in a row I'll be tripping over my feet for a long time to come. Spoiler alert. All of your ovens are going to be upgraded in the future to change the outer stainless layer from 304 non-magnetic to 416 magnetic steel so we can get ready to light Anvils up with an induction heater.
I just read this, the fact you're telling us that our ovens will get upgraded in my opinion says a lot about your willingness to make sure this vape is everything it can be, you want it to be a success and you welcome feedback, that's a rare trait now a days if you ask me

He's engaged and welcoming negative feedback with a self-deprecating sense of humor in his posts. Definitely a super-rare trait. Made me feel good about my purchase even before receiving it. And reading about the ovens getting upgraded later is just icing on the cake. I feel like I might be turning into a fanboy, so let me stop right here!

So glad that you are enjoying it my man!! It really is a work of art and is so efficient. I dont dab as much either anymore, more so on weekends or here and there

Edit: To anyone concerned about the cosmetic issues, have no fear as they do not impact performance in a way you will notice it. Here is a picture of my Beta unit which has a huge chunk of the battery missing and still not problems with function on this baby!

I'm sure its been answered but how do I go about adjusting air flow?

this thing is great. I mean really really great. Worth the gamble and worth the money. Now, an idea for a storage tube. It's like a dug out where one side holds the anvil with the centering magnetic lid and all like the current tube. Then on the other side it's 5 more storage pods like the one in the lid for 5 additional bowls to be carried all in the same case.

Order #1068 arrived 5 days ahead of the tracking schedule, which was a very nice surprise.

My first impression after handling it for a while is that the heat shield could feel a bit nicer. The holes feel a bit rough and I have already lost a little skin from the cheese grater effect. I think a chamfered edge on the holes would help or maybe even just a tumble in some beads would help take the edge off (pun intended). It also seems like it will be difficult to clean in behind the heat shield with it being not removable.

Everything else looks pretty darn good for hand machining work, just some minor tooling marks and a few small dings. Nice work John. 👍🏼

You can soak the whole thing in ISO. Nothing to worry about here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How the hell did you lose skin? Where you trying to file your nails with it?:)

Hi - thank you for your feedback. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
Everything you mention is going to get a serious look. The ONLY thing I can't fix in hardware is the propensity of some folks to just instinctively load the Anvil like they are used to with other vendors.

I agree about the cheese grater effect on the heat shield, although I haven't lost any skin. I tend to fidget with small objects like the Anvil, and I love the way it feels rolling/flipping/twirling in my hand, except for the holes on the heat shield.

I was just twirling it around in my hand to get a feel for the weight and balance of it.

I have been known to hurt myself on the simplest things so maybe it’s just me. 🤔

I like the suggestion of the pod system to hold extra chambers. Either as part of the current storage tube or as a separate tube that can hold 3-4 bowls. All in separate containers like the current one but they would all link together to form a single unit.
