That was one of my first thoughts when I saw the anvils' chambers being hot-swapped. Damn, I gotta learn CADD. I imagined a box, maybe a little shorter than the carrying case that hooks around the tube, maybe has a hinged lid, a place to store each chamber. Are there any FC members that are CADD designers? Or someone good with Autodesk? where did you learn the program?

This thing is more complex and subtle than I let on with my learning curve that I thought finished after 4 bowls ... in reality this vape is a "dinguery" that will surprise many. Me first ...
I rode the line intensely these last two days and it's true that the results vary depending on the parameters mentioned here (mouture, choice and power of the flame, airflow in particular).
I systematically heat on the copper part between 40 and 50 seconds until the click. It's a fucking overpowered OneHitter that hits me violently:rofl:. Like a dab!
There is absolutely no need to do a 2nd heating, everything is roasted the first time. Vapor is both thick and soft, a treat! It's hard to finish the bowl in 1 shot (unless you have 3 lungs). I am impressed. And I'm only talking about the terp chamber (the other one I'll look into later).
I used it mostly dry through my Sherlock or directly in mouth (except for the video I posted to see the amount of vapor in the glass sphere)

The heat build up is impressive and seems to be (one of) the key(s), especially judging by the time it takes to cool down. It's actually a testament to the quality, the system is so well designed that it's the heat build up that allows for such great vapor and flavor production.
I compare it to my HerboTi, it's very powerful! I'm a happy customer! This product is going to be a Classic in our cloud's world.

I've only seen people hit these out of bongs. Anyone try it out yet through just mouth?
Here you go my man! Here's a little video of me using it natively with the larger terp chamber

seeing a lot of talk about how this thing makes mad vapor when you pull it through a bong! can any owners speak to the "joint experience"? how long (seconds? minutes?) can it produce vapor? how many hits can you get if you aren't chugging it? can you heat cycle the same bowl twice (obviously not when "riding the line" !)? is it plain too harsh to take a big drag without water? i realize this is pretty subjective, and i dont expect it to really compare to a well-rolled j, but if i could get several leisurely hits over a decent period of time that would be really cool! even better if i can reuse the same bowl and finish it off with another heating later!
When using it natively the same as a joint i would recommend closing up the airflow a little bit and puff away, you can get a good 5-10 hits i would say from the larger terp chamber....here is a video of me using it more like a joint.

As for reheating a bowl you definitely can if you are not riding the line, I have done 2 Med roast hits back to back before with no problem or 1 med roast hit then a RTL hit to finish her off

Here is a video of me using The Anvil more like a joint with the airflow set to half

I just tried my Anvil for the first time after the initial soak in ISO. Holy shit this thing is awesome!!!!! I'm glad I tested it with CBD flower to experiment with the draw resistance first because if it was real flower I would have been knock on my ass. I used my large Goo Roo glass Inline and the milky vapor was crazy. I have been using the mighty through glass for years and there is no comparison. The taste in the Anvil is just awesome!!!!! I used the smaller chamber 3/4 filled and not tightly packed and was able to get 2 very nice hits and 1 medium. I'm beyond impressed!!!!!!!!!! I just have to dial in where to point the flame for both flavor and clouds. Using the Blazer firefox, which seems to be a good pairing. If you were on the fence about this thing, I highly recommend it. It's beyond great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me I think it's strength really lies in the one heat one hit style. It will do anything you want and it will do it quite well but for me I would load small bowls and under load them to your dosing and just a new hit every time. For me the one hit gets you a perfect balance of terps and THC. And swapping bowls is really so easy. I am not sure if it is recommended but I have done both bowls back to back without waiting for a cool down and had great results.

I just checked and a large bowl would milk my bong for about 55s. Not sure if there was nothing left or out of heat as that was enough for me. I may later yet try a small bowl joint style and see how long it will produce visible vapour as a few small bowls drawn out over a couple minutes could be a very joint like vibe.

Just tried with flower for the first time, about 3/4 open on the air adjustment, with small bowl lightly packed about 3/4 full. I can't come close to finishing this thing. It milks my glass so much denser than then the mighty which has been my daily driver since it was first released. I'm not use to these kind of hits. This thing is so efficient! Flavor is amazing. Still a lot to learn but the mighty is going to take a back seat for the foreseeable future. Amazing piece of kit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can definitely hit them back to back so long as your herb chamber has cooled down. You can pre-load 3 or 4 chambers if you wanted and swap em out back to back no problem, but again just make sure if your using one chamber already heated you will want to wait for the chamber to get the cool down click prior to re heating again

this is the first vape where I jumped on the first run. I'm glad I did. Seems like they'll only get harder to get simply because the demand is going to be high with this one.

So I get that one heat one hit concept. But that's so damn much exhaled without absorbing.

can you sip on this thing over a few minutes, or is the load just wasted if you don't rip it after the heat up?

Part of this may be due to overly restrictive one I got (new part on its way). But my fave way to hit is still dry with Inception J hook.

But scanning up the thread I can't believe I haven't hit this with my Sherlock! Damn that's got promise. Off I go...

Hey guys,
What is the best way to clean the Anvil. Mine is arriving today and I want to do an ISO soak. Will soaking the anvil parts in ISO erode the Orings or make them suitable for use? I always remove the Silicone Orings in my Mighty so they don't degrade. Any suggestions? Hopefully John or Whiff will see this and reply or any of you that have done this already. Can't wait!!!!!!

thanks,
Bill
I've soaked mine just make sure to lube the oringe with wax like the dynawax

Hi there - John here

I actually do NOT recommend using any waxes, oils or other lubricants on the o-rings. The o-rings are Viton and are super just as they are. There is a detailed explanation of thermal protections etc. up thread.

Use just use a bit of saliva or water to overcome the clean "stickiness" after an iso bath. In order for the airflow valve to work nicely by the "push and twist" method the o-rings need to be clean. The valve works by a tighter friction fit on the oven versus the body. The o-ring is 0.393", the body bore diameter is 0.389" and the oven bore diameter is 0.385". These are 100% verified in process by hard tooled "go no-go" gauging. As a result of these diameter differences the o-rings on the oven are held much more tightly than the o-rings on the body. This creates the differential friction fits that lets the oven side grip and rotate the airflow valve rotating it in or out of the body.

When you close the valve you have to press the oven against the body overcoming the tendency of the oven to just unscrew. Your finger pressure is what presses the valve deeper into the CopperCore oven bore closing the valve. When you open the valve (oven turning clockwise) the top rim of the oven butts up against the body which provides a hard stop so the post will pull back out of the CopperCore bore.

Many of you are trying to see an air gap through the slots. You won't. The valve works on the basis of the taper at the front moving in or out of corresponding geometry in the oven bore just below the air slots. To see the air gap, which is actually a ring, look down along the side of the oven, mouthpiece side towards your eyes, into the air slots and you will see the black looking ring of the air intake. This ring gets wider as the taper moves to the body, open, or narrower as the taper moves towards the oven.

If you add a lubricant or wax that eliminates the friction (except the initial saliva hack which evaporates off) the "press and twist" airflow adjustment will likely be compromised and you will need to pull off the oven, adjust post height, and push the oven back on. Your Anvil will still do what it does best but the convenience of the press and twist airflow will be compromised.

Mine is out for delivery. Yay!
Do I need to wait until my new air valve and tube to come? Or is it still functional?

Still fully functional just a tight draw.
Yup. So go with your least restrictive pieces.

Speaking of which, wow the Sherlock is glorious with my Anvil. Doesn't quite have the cooling of my Inception stem so I think I might add some balls to give some added cooling (just need to decide on size and material). But otherwise it was a stunning steady rip of milky, milky flavor.

And finally really dialing this Anvil in. I'd moved over to exclusively single flame torches but think I need to call @VGOODIEZ to see about torch recs. Or @Vestratto and @Whiff what brands/models do you use and recommend. IIRC one of you mentioned going dual flame.

And with the Sherlock's base, I'm thinking about figuring out a nice vape station for this set up once torch decision finalized. Maybe time to look into this 3D printing thing...

I'm curious of the best ways to pop out and replace the screens.
I can see that you could long-poke the screen from the other end of the condenser to remove it but still unsure about the one in the herb chamber. I guess you push it further in and then scoop it out with a pick? At some point it'll collect debris behind there I imagine.
Really enjoying this one. Because the dose is so condensed even very old, low potency flower has felt very potent again. It's a marvellous contraption, especially if you feel vapes mean working too hard huffing and puffing away to get the thc into you.
