Did the Solo2 WPA. Not a bad solution for $13. Now Im nervous about using it. Im on a T break at the moment so its no rush but I really want to preserve such a neat devise. Seem like it will get use on special occasions for the time being.

A little too close to the face

Thats a bit better.

I wanted to post in this thread to let other Lotus users know about an extremely cheap hack I've utilised for some time with my Lotus. I should preface this by saying that I have quite a few vapes (a few of the real heavy hitters) and I am someone that can get a dry or irritated throat from big pulls of vapor when its hot, so at home I would often elect to filter vapes like the neo, evo, supreme and herbalaire and the lotus through water when I am looking for clouds and strong and rapid relief. An issue I have had with the Lotus when sharing it with people unfamiliar with it, primarily when using the metal stem is that some friends would accidentally burn their loads, thereby downgrading vapor quality until a cleaning can be performed.. this hack solves this issue with Lotus novices and the problem of wanting tube sized rips on the go and at home when I don't want to worry about the bulk of a glass piece or breaking one.

TLDR: very nice hack that costs $3.50!

What you do: purchase 3mm glass beads https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/380432127590 this is a huge amount of them and they can be used anywhere you want cooler, smoother vapor (e.g. for a Dynavap just fill a cheap longish suitable dyna stem with beads, my friend offloaded his Simrell vortex straight after his 3rd bowl ;-) Get a large bowl and take your metal lotus stem, ensuring you have a genuine lotus screen very secure in its bowl and start dropping beads down the mouthpiece end to your liking, its a lot narrower internally than you'd expect and will fill quickly. When you place 2 beads in at once and push down with a metal wired pipecleaner the two beads will push together firmly toward the narrowing top of the stems mouthpiece and will be visible- shake the stem, blow through and then suck, they aren't going anywhere (especially after a couple of bowls, the resulting oil serves as an adhesive.. but you can place a small screen piece above if you so choose.

Keep your jetty flame jacked little more than max recommends (this is only my humble opinion, as per Goldenbuds advice) get the red dot glowing and the standard circling motion keeping the dot at the very least somewhat glowing the whole inhale (this is easy for your novice friends to understand and do). The glass beads serve to standardize and regulate the airflow substantially so that draw speed is no longer a substantial factor in how the load is extracted or whether it is burnt; it feels a touch more restricted; but, (and I know this sounds weird) not in a typical bad "sucking through a straw" vaporizer way, more in a steady draw no matter what way like the feel of a constant steady draw of the lotus through a bubbler. A good 20-30 second pull and my novice friends are blowing bubbler size clouds.. that feel about as filtered smooth on the lungs as the lotus through a 40cm stereo matrix tube with more of the sometimes more complex terpene taste profile preserved than if the lotus were filtered through water  What's more no noobs have burnt a bowl since implementing this mod, thanks to the airflow regulation. The glass beads create a much larger surface area for the cooling of the vapor and coupled with the metal stem the cooling is extremely impressive  Now the metal stem actually gets used a lot (had little appeal in the past for the aforementioned reasons and my being spoilt for choice with vapes) and it makes for super filtered hits in a virtually unbreakable form factor. Cleaning is extremely easy and makes for a very strong nightcap drink to say the least lol. If your a lotus owner who already has a stem I definitely highly recommend giving this cheap little hack a whirl if you're looking to take larger smoother rips on the go with less thought required for optimum extraction.

Cheers all and have a great day :peace:

I bought the Solo WPA, but doesn’t looks like it fits unless you remove the metal sleeve from the underside of the cap — but really worried about damaging the cap. Looks like it’s maybe glued in place. How did you remove this safely? Once removed is it a pretty good fit to the solo WPA? Will the metal housing stay in place again after removing, if I want switch back and forth with alum stem? Is it worth it? Love to hear your experience. The Lotus is precious to me — definitely don’t want to f it up.

Anybody have a decent source (US) for the Honest torches MV carried for years and years. Aside from the somewhat larger capacity but otherwise similar torch you could get from dynovape (iirc) a while back, I have not found a better or more dependable torch for on-the-go use with the Lotus. I've got the home situation sorted out but need something for the beach and hiking. I see the similar sized eagle torches around but they are slightly underpowered and I've had them unexpectedly flair up which is a no go for use near my face. Always came back to the Honest but they do eventually fail and am looking for a suitable replacement.

I really like this windblaze lighter. Only problem is the textured coating around the middle part is shit. I ended up rubbing it off entirely — but actually looks better without it. The stainless model may not have it. Can’t tell from photos. Anyway, it‘s very compact and has a great angle for the Lotus + seems reliable so far.

I don't know for sure which Honest torch you refer to, but let me recommend another good one: the Vertigo Serpent. It is a bit pricey, but I got one at a slight discount for $21 + $7 shipping from Neptune Cigars. While pricey, however, it is incredibly solid: all metal, heavier by a bit than the capped Lotus itself. It hits the "hot spot" on the Lotus at a nice angle, and it has a real classy look. And I think it goes well with the Lotus specifically— you can see these two close friends in context in this snapshot here on my ImgBB.

It is, however, more of a "table torch" than a pocketable one—still possible, just awkward, I think, to carry it around that way. Carry it in a pocket to the back yard? Yeah, fine. Carry it on a day hike in the mountains? Mmmm, I'd say "no".

But for home/desktop/etc. use, I highly recommend it.

That's great the enano 14mm wpa fits tight with the lotus cap. Just got j-hook but only have the aluminum pipe and lotus cap. Aluminum pipe runs a little hot for my throat.
I just noticed today that POTV has two versions — fixed screen (glass) and adjustable screen (metal). I got the adjustable one, because I didn’t see the other before. I just ordered the fixed glass version, as I think I will prefer that. I’ll report back.

HUGE thanks and a boatload of gratitude is owed to bossman Max Jitter!!!

I just took receipt of the UNOBTANIUM... I am not sure if it is the very last new/unused Lotus in the wild, but it is without question the most rare and exquisite example of Lotus craftsmanship. I just received an all black cap embedded all the way around with mother of pearl. I forget what Max said, but I think he mentioned there were only two of these units ever made. I have never seen any custom Lotus's before, this blew me away!

Thank you Max, this cap is so absolutely stunning I am tempted to simply showcase it on my desk in pristine condition- On the other hand, I'm all about function so I don't think I am going to be able to resist using and enjoying this one to the fullest!

Can any of you recommend a good anonymous picture sharing site? I've not posted a pic since the last Imgur fallout... this is just too pretty not to share!

Cheers and THANK YOU MAX!

Congratulations man, it probably couldn’t have found a better home.

I hope Max does well and finally gets rid of those jitters.

Just want to let you know that Vape Fiend in the UK must have found some old stock as they have a few j hook (silver saucer) kits and dual stem kits (silver cap) listed on their site. I bought myself the jhook kit so I have a backup and it arrived so not a stock error.
