I actually went on a walk with two batts, one trench and my ancient original
LB. That one trench, on a one hour walk, was amazing! I haven't vaped outside
in a year, and the space and views really boost your high! My herb was pre-vaped
for dryness.
Hey Ataxian
HaHa I used a hip pouch! I don't enjoy pants around my knees!

I keep one in rotation also, it's very important to keep it clean as it is with all vaporizers. A trick I found on YT is to clean the stem, just rip off some cotton from a qtip and dab it with alcohol and push it through back and forth.

I quit using the stem pretty quickly after I first acquired my box. I've come to prefer using my box native. I can feel/sense/taste the vapor easier that way.

Would you buy on of these today considering the amount of options on the market? I'm considering it as I like the simplicity of this unit.
For a different point of view: there is one in the house I've used a couple of times but wouldn't chose to use again unless every other vape was dead. In fact I would probably just smoke a bowl (and it's been years since I did) rather than bother with it. It made sense in it's day but compared to "modern" vapes it's like making a fire by rubbing two sticks together.

Hate the batteries - Love the box!
What @TommyDee says here is the truth for the MFLB. Setting this up with a 510 adapter instead of the batteries is like modding a VW into a Porsche. It is an almost instant plume of vapor to pull on and due to it being essentially all conduction it produces a different taste profile and signature. I like it. It updates it a great deal. Someone should make them. I’d think it could have a market of some degree.

MFLB was my first vape and I will always remember it fondly as the vape that taught me the most and turned me into a vapist.

The MFLB taught me stealth, technique, battery tech, taste factors, conduction and grind principles. I could never get lung busting clouds from it but I always got maximally toasted so it also taught me that the "milky way" isn't necessarily the only way.

Still, even clouds are possible.

Look what I've done with my MFLB (with only a battery):

It may not be the best first vaporizer but it's a completely original design that's extremely effective.
I like the fact that once a trench is filled - slightly overfilled - I'll be good for awhile.
The draw whip is a nice accessory and cools down the vapor a bit.
I think the most important add on is the finishing grinder.

Any 510 setups you recommend? I'd be interested in trying something like that. The main thing keeping me from using mine is dealing with the battery.

I use a Vaporesso Target Mini II. Small and has all the wattage you need. @TommyDee did the build of my adapter. If you search for him in this thread you’ll uncover all you need to know to build it. In my case he had pity on my soul and built mine for me. I have two. One gets regular use and the other is put away in a safe place. :)

It's a whole different machine with the power of a temp sensing mod with user curves @Vape Cloud City . No one wants to embark on the manufacture but a few tools and you can make a mod power the LB. The MOD I went for was the Target Mini II kit because the tank was ready to modify. You'll find instructions in this thread somewhere.

Thanks for the help! I'll look into it and start digging through the thread.

i made mine using a stainless screw, a old sai bucket coil body, and some jbweld for an insulator. works great! just some spacing to consider to make sure the head of the screw hits the inside terminal and the sai coil body is in the other contact bars position and then fill it with jbweld and let it cure. i kept the silicone grommet in the 510 connector as an insulator at that end. the tip of the screw becomes the 510 center pin. This idea thanks to @scy123
