Haha I had a pom wonderful bong that I made back in college with a smaller non-standard downstem and bowl, would be cool to do again for vaping, still disgusted I ever smoked like that though!
Also, not sure I missed it, was the cicada joke because of the red lights looking like eyes in the water?? Have to say I'm glad not to be on the East Coast with those buggers again right now...

It was roughly the right size and shape and the red lights helped. Personally I love the little suckers and find them quite fascinating. I am really looking forward to Brood XIII happening in my area in 3 years.
Back to glass... The large Inline from Goo Roo has become my daily driver and I really like it. I haven't decided exactly how much water to use in it and am still changing it up. It works well with any level I have tried. I can't help but wonder how it might have been different if the holes had been on the bottom or sides of the perc. While it may have made it more chuggy, it is very smooth and it might not have mattered.
I wanted to mention that I had said I wanted to try some American glass (over Dhgate) to get something perfect. This piece is NOT perfect, but none of the imperfections in any way diminish the experience.
The HD3 is a little closer to perfect.
So I got a cheap Amazon bong, was the only one I didn't have to wait 4 weeks on.

Gee............ever since @Shit Snacks showed this piece I nave been thinking Mrs.arb sure would like that and while I was there I "accidentally" ordered the other two.
Her favorite colors are yellow,blue and pink so should go over...........ok.

Y'all are going to love the silver fumed blue one! I'm still using mine dry, but I did try my clear one with a bit more water loaded (basically up to the pillars) to do a dab the other day, worked very well, there is a little recycling action with those four pillars this way, and no splashback in the mouth!
Looking forward to your thoughts on the other two pieces, the bottom one in particular, those look so cool, but they are so small I wonder how effective... I am very satisfied with the tobaccoglass DHgate store, looks like they are having a good sale right now so you paid less than I did (like I see this one is only $40 now...)

Please, I'm begging, don't get me started on outfits for my bongs. In no time my rigs will have a better wardrobe than I do, and I will be broke. Broker. More broke.I put a beer koozie I had laying around on my StevenLM Fab Egg I got a couple years ago. Its been working out better than I expected.
I just got a very similar piece from Dhgate. More bottle shape but looks identical otherwise. It is a nice function and easy to hold. Very easy to clean cause it is so simple.Anyone try one of these from ddave?
2 things I'd mention. So small and sits quite close so hard to see your milk without going crosseyed. Also I was thinking it had extra thick glass by the pics. But it is regular thin glass and they have rolled the edge at the mouthpiece inwards so it appears really thick. Probably also for comfort but I fell for it.

Ah the Yingmin5 double 18.8mm male footed J hook arrived today! Ordered/paid on 6/23 so under two weeks as well... Unfortunately there may be a little scratch crack in the tall neck, and I see some black marking on the other joint (the inside of it is a little crooked, perhaps because of the mold, the outside is fine for connecting so not a problem really) maybe the marking is a result of cutting something off from a mold afterward? I don't know but I can't seem to get it off, to be fully clean (tried iso and magic eraser) I'm not mad for only $22.50, functionally seems perfectly fine, I let them know though so we'll see what they say, but honestly I don't really want a replacement unless it breaks on me! One thing that is important, it sits perfectly flat evenly on a table, no wobble at all... Tough waiting for that 18.8mm female to female adapter now!

Yeah! I think it is designed to be a double hydrofoot and bowl/banger stand, but also has the advantage of being a dry hook piece itself... This definitely was one of the easier pieces for me to justify grabbing as well
Edit: @delicatebunting this one also arrived from within the US, I saw it in the tracking that it was passed along to a US agent, SF starting tracking number so the return address was for an SF something something company in the US... Pretty cool system, so it seems some of the DHgate stores have this set up, forgot to mention this package actually arrived without any packaging! It was all bubble wrap like an oval ball lol
Edit Again: they're responded and told me that "the black spots are caused by the high borosilicate friction during burning" so that makes sense why I cannot clean them off lol and the neck seems like it has just a scratch not a crack, so should be fine structurally... I'm not too worried about it, price was right!
