What should my next glass purchase be?

Ahhh, but you ordered the inline, and I ordered the HD3.

Soon come, Darlin, soon come...
Speaking of which!
What would be the biggest differences between the HD3 and my "Large Inline" ?
I don't remember seeing anyone discuss that but maybe I missed it.

I love the detachable-thingies, but also, I don't at the same time! LOL.
I mean, it is nice to have a sturdy mouthpiece I can just pick it up with!

But insofar as, actually smoking through it.
Does it provide bigger hits?

I like a big piece and a vape that fills it,
that seems to be the ticket for me.
Mrs.arb likes a small piece with minimal water for her.
I would liken it to attraction in humans so what works for thee may not for me.
That seems to apply equally to glass and vapes.

To me the pieces are more different than they are similar. The inline seems to have a bigger can and more airflow with the MP tube on top and a much more active, larger perc. It also is fixed as is with no way to really change anything. The HD3 allows you to change the mouthpiece stem and conceivably the downstem if you so desire, will likely have a more restricted airflow and will let you inside for easier cleaning. The can on the HD is 50mm wide and on the inline is 65mm, so the inline is significantly fatter. They are different enough that getting the HD is likely to in no way discourage me from getting the inline later.
I am just going from the pics of course, I have seen neither in person yet.

That DHgate seller already provided tracking, whether it is actually shipping right now, I'll have to wait a little while before I check for an update... Either way expecting a month or two of waiting before I see the package arrive! They also replied to me and said that the two rigs are identical, only difference the colors, $36 for the blue and $31 for the silver in a separate listing (not sure why there is also silver in the listing with the blue available for $35, but whatever lol)

I actually saw one review at a different place, saying they were able to get there's US from China in just about two weeks, recently despite everything, but we shall see when my pieces arrive, but planning for July or August or whatever really! You got GooRoo

I know I said I was done, but these which look very nice and well reviewed! Out of purple right now though, seems like a showerhead perc and it says honeycomb, maybe that is the top, but I can't tell what that part really is:

And now I stumbled upon this from popular glass, has anyone tried it?? The bottom is conical and a glass stand is included, removable downstem:

Oh hey I actually finally found this, another inline honeycomb rig now too! It is actually combined with a fab egg and it's pretty straight tall, with 14 mm male connection, also it's $47 with $50 DHL shipping lol

Perhaps this one is a bit more reasonable, inline to mushroom circ perc, around $42 shipped:

Looks like my Goo Roo glass jumped the queue and will be delivered today. Now I get to see if American glass sellers pack like the Chinese with enough bubble wrap to cover a car.

Excitement level rises...

That is kinda interesting. Is that a honeycomb or a disk perc over a downward facing inline? Would like a view of the perc from above or below. But $50 shipping? WTF?

Awesome! I think the Oregon Post Offices really have their shit together, every time I get stuff from the Rogue Wax Works it arrives a day early, and two days early for buddy in New York so seems the same for you where you are! My GooRoo bangers are also already in Los Angeles today so should go out for delivery tomorrow a day early

Haha yeah it's because they only offer DHL, some sellers have choices, and those extra always cost much more, the ePacket is super cheap which is why I think a lot of sellers offer free shipping as well? I wonder if you could message this shop and ask them to do an ePacket to USPS, if you don't mind the the long wait, they probably prefer DHL because it is faster especially at $50 it better be! Unfortunately makes it not a cheap glass piece so I didn't share it in that thread, I think of it as a $90 piece unless you try to work something out with them by message... Because also it is a 14 mm male joint, would obviously be better 14 female at least if that is possible for them to do, if not 19 female!

However yes it is a downward-facing inline, with a honeycomb disc above it, just like my inline to honeycomb rig from Kathy way back when, however it also has the fab egg style giant holes through the can for even more bubble action, and is clearly much taller, straight mouthpiece, and some nice looking glass honestly...

But yeah I think the other one I shared, also seems to be downward-facing inline, however it has the mushroom circ on top instead of a honeycomb, making it more like having a separate hydro tube on top of a rig actually? It has a bent mouthpiece and is still pretty large looking, nice glass, and less than half the price at $42 shipped...

Oh my god, it's here. And it's GORGEOUS. It is fucking HUGE, but it is just Beautiful. And the difference between this and Dhgate is obvious immediately. Stands perfectly straight, joints are perfect, no wobbling, no errors, scratches or bad welds. I knew the dimensions but it is even bigger than I expected. If that Inline is 15 mm wider it's gonna be a beast. Too early in the day for me to actually use it, but I am gonna give it a water test in a little while. Want to test out that perc. It looks very clean.
So far I am really happy with this decision. I think you get credit, @arb. But you others that suggested it were oh so right. Thanks.

They did a great packing job too, without using quite as much bubble wrap as China vendors do, but it wasn't coming as far.

So exciting! Hopefully I can resist the temptation to order GooRoo rigs though I feel it building up again...

However I think I had a brilliant idea, for sunshine to offer this 14mm male rig I wanted for FW7, instead with a 19mm male joint for the mouthpiece, so I asked them:
Screenshot-20210609-141653.png

So then it really would be a complete kit, for it to come with a 19 to 19 female to female adapter, and a 14 to 14 female to female adapter! And I think this could cool down my desires for another modular base piece, and it's a solid looking shower head perc!

Just for fun, here is the HD3 next to the D020...

Water test was great, btw. The perc is wonderful.

I think Home Defense Series means if you hit someone with it you would kill them...

It is BIG, that is for sure. I won't go all the way to too big, but it is big. I'll revisit this after I have used it for a while, but I suspect it is still gonna be big rather than too big.

Remember, all that space in the can is good for cooling along with the water.

Does make me wonder a little about the Inline with 15mm more width. I will be interested in what folks say about it.

Yeah, that is impressively large. How’s the perc/cooling? Is it just a bunch of pin holes (not sure the name) on the end of the stem?

I was also looking at this one or the large inline, but they might be a bit ambitious for my tolerance and log. The small in-line looked more like a bubbler to me, so I’ll have to look at their measurements again.

9 holes and open bottoms on all my goo roo removable downstems.

Yeah I actually think it is common, even when they have the slits on the sides, for it to be open on the bottom, seems like that setup would be more effective with the holes instead though! So the inline definitely would feel different, in use, regardless which one...
