TinyMight / TM 2

SEARCH for the treasure...
Some of you may remember my “stem retaining ring” did not screw all the way down, just barely a quarter turn. After testing by switching and trying the battery cap (same threading), it confirmed that the threads in the RING were the problem as the battery cap screwed all the way down. All I needed was a new ring, and I wrote them that. But TM sent me the entire metal body top piece, including a NEW RING. Just something to keep in mind if it’s not the insert length problem, which mine did not have, still using the OG aluminum tube.

I prefer the aluminum ones only because they are easier to reduce the height. (I will repeat myself but it is good for everyone to understand) I reduced the height of both inner tubes by about 1mm to fully screw the ring and make insertion and removal of the stem a lot easier. This may not be necessary in all TMs, but in my two TM's it was.
Were it not for this issue (which is related to the height of the wood not being 100% the same in all TMs), I would prefer stainless steel
The new one I just got has plenty of room to screw down the ring with the steel tube. Much more room than the old one, tho even that gives me about a turn after the threads catch. I haven't measured to see if they are different lengths.

There is a glass one under the steel one...

Yeah that is the only one they offer now in the store, I bought those just in case, they used to offer a glass one instead of the metal... I suppose I could write to them and ask for a new ring or a new tube or whatever, we'll see if I feel like it! Overall still happy, I think mine has broken in a bit, so I'm sure it will only improve... I may never do anything except like I say by a third someday lol

Oh yeah @purepotstill he is still shipping until the mail ban, MistVape's Imp screens fit stock TM stem well for rimless basket screens instead of the stock ones!
And

The website was actually updated, these should still fit TM stem, I think it is a typo on the site saying they are for 14 mm OD stems, should be 14 mm ID like the TM stem is...
Thanks and sorry for the late answer. Mine has a mesh screen, that actually must be what you call a rimless basket. Not always easy for a non native speaker with all these technical terms !

@cybrguy : thanks too, wasn't connected for a couple of days.

I use those small cup screens now with the Cooling Unit. Love them and it keeps things cleaner. I have a couple of extra too after losing the first couple by blowing the AVB puck out and the loose fitting screens went with it, lol. I adjusted the ones I’m using (live and learn!). Just ordered more larger rimless dome screens for use without the Cooling Unit. I’m going to try that soon for the first time in over a year having my Tinymight. That should be fun and enlightening - just a screen and stem, and I’ll start on a low temp and see what I’ve been missing (and what the CU allegedly robs - I know it does as I need to clean mine every 2-3 weeks). I also ordered some .75 inch flat stainless screens for the heater ring (I think it’s the right size as I measured with a ruler (don’t own digital calipers to measure). The heater screen I have now is brass and has a small hole in the center; I had to cut it as I’m out of flat screens.

I went to a couple of local vape shops yesterday looking for screens. Both had just one type and neither would fit the screen ring. One was primarily a glass shop (nice stuff) but I seldom use my lone double perc but it’s good to have and I may use it more if I don’t use the CU much after the upcoming experiment without CUs. I’m excited! I forgot to buy different fine grain sandpaper to sand down my TM, and that’s on the horizon too though I’ll disassemble completely for that. Cheers & Happy Monday! :peace:

Oh! Language barriers, no worries at all! So yes, steel mesh screen, however in the cooling unit there is a flat steel mesh screen and there are also basket steel mesh screens available (and the extra long cooling stem comes with a basket screen that has a metal rim around it to hold it at the edge) Then mistvape calls them cup screens! :D

I shipped my TinyMight back to Finland on 4/9. Tracking now shows "Departed Facility in LOS ANGELES GATEWAY - USA". I assume it's in the air on the way to Finland. I also received the shipping label from TinyMight. There was one label, one waybill doc, and a commercial invoice. The label and the waybill doc look very similar, but the waybill doc says "Not to be attached to package - hand to courier". Could some of these shipping issues be caused by attaching the waybill doc to the package?
No it wasn't any of that, although I did not bring with me that 3rd sheet you were speaking off but I was able to email them the PDF attachment he sent but it wouldn't work. Looking back, the label was over 1 month old and that was the problem. I reached out to the TM dude and actually got a new label finally this morning, surprisingly it only took a few days. It literally took 2+ months to first get a response from him this past summer.

The mailing place was holding my package, because the first time DHL sent it back to them b/c the label was wrong, but emailed them the label this morning and it is already out of the state. DHL doesn't joke around with that, like the other carriers will (letting it sit for a day or longer).

Also, anyone know if TM charges for any repairs and what the pricing is to get it fixed? I know prices are all different but just wanting to see some numbers. On the website it shows fees for repair, but in my email he said that they would take of it for me. At the time I was thinking it would be free, but now I'm wondering if they will take care of giving me a price later on. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

It's been 1.2 years and my TM is shining like new, working every day and hitting like a train, taking my ass higher to the clouds :freak:

I finally ordered a second tm for a rainy day (backup)

Where did you find that adapter?

First run yesterday and I fell in love immediately.
Thick clouds mich longer than on every other vape I ha(d|ve) (MV1, Firefly 2, Arizer Solo).
I like the TM a lot and it’s obviously the best I’ve had, when it comes to usage.
I love the clinical approach of the MV1, when it comes to cleaning and the TM seems to be a bit less accessible, but besides that, awesome device.

One question though: The ring holding the O-ring for the glass stem, can you screw it completely in? I have like a 0.5mm gap and don’t want to screw ist in further, since the resistance is getting really high and the instructions say to tighten it not too much?
And is it possible, the battery drains really fast? I had like 2-3 buzzes left last evening and today it’s only buzzing wildly, showing Red, turning off. It seems like the battery went empty over night without using it.

As you screw down the retaining ring, it pushes or squishes the red rubber oring, thus creating more pressure on the glass stem. So based it’s a tension adjustment point.

If you remove the oring, the ring should be able to screw completely down, I had a badly cross threaded ring on arrival, and it was replaced. I could only turn my ring about 1/8”. If you don’t have this issue, then with the oring in place, just screw it down till you get enough pressure to hold the stem, but loose enough for removal, you’ll find the sweet spot.

And yes, GAP IS NORMAL.

Grab yourself some Mollicell P26A batteries from 18650 battery store.com I find they perform better than the pink Samsung 30Q

Yeah, it drains a lot of power, especially for the 1st hit when the device is cold. So having like two buzzes at the beginning of your last session yesterday may lead to an empty battery this morning.

Mine came with a brown LG HG2. My Molicels P28A give a little more, enough for one bowl more at least. Got a Sony VTC6 I hadn't try yet in the TM (came with my Tetra P80).

Sup Dudettes,

A few weeks ago, I sent the TM in for repair, the power button was pushed all the way in, and wouldn't come back out.

They just replied that my unit shipped. Will update us on here as it arrives.

On another note, my other TM is 1 yr old, 3-4 rounds a day, had low power issue, asked someone on here, they said splint under metal thing, it worked.
🤟
