The new iterations are only made to trick you into thinking they fixed it** only to realize it dies at the same rate and the only thing that changed was the appearance and the warranty. And then when you go to warranty it (cause you are still in the warranty period) realize they changed your warranty after you bought it.

My latest PA had a wall plug malfunction which Magic Flight replaced quickly with no hassels .A few years back
I was given a very pretty small rectangular beta model PA which always cut off at full power. It still works
but it is so unpredictable.

Since I began using my 510 box mod adapter constructed by @TommyDee for my technically challenged self, I haven’t bothered to use my PA. 13 to 18 watts stepping it up on a full trench ran through a MFLB finishing grinder renders the PA obsolete for me. I only keep it ibecause I know it gives me a backup in case my mod goes on the fritz. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Have either of them latched onto the 510 mod here in the forum @ray_ ?
@TommyDee I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps you could send some their way? My guess is they have a compatible box mod somewhere on their shelves. Wattage stepping from 10-18 is a great adventure. Honestly when paired with the 510 adapter anyone with an idle MFLB in their collection has a “no glass to break” on demand conduction based vape that delivers effect (in my experience) as well as my RBT Spilnters and that is saying a lot. Taste from start to finish falls off quicker but effects? Just as good! Somebody make these available to the MFLB masses!!😁

Vapor quality I would rate above my Arizer and Crafty. You can get a large amount of vapor almost instantly with zero warm up. The Arizer gives decent vapor, but it's thin and the Crafty needs long draws to get the convection working and then it's still thin.

Being on demand also saves a lot of battery life. The Arizer, Crafty and MFLB all run around 10-20w. The difference is the Arizer and Crafty needs to be on all the time in the session, the MFLB only needs power when you are actively drawing.

I can almost guarantee it's more energy efficient than any other herb vape by a large margin.

Here is a small contribution for those who still use Muad Dib...

I rebuilt the stainless steel screen for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and it works perfectly!

Sorry for being late, but this is the information I've been looking for for years now. The Muad Dib screens are not available in Europe, and shipping and customs fees make them ridicululously expensive when ordereing from the US. I got mine about 8 years ago and use it almost daily with an orbiter (and a lava module, too). I gought 6 or 7 sets of screens when I read than they would discontinue.

I 'm so happy this great vape is comine back !

Thank for this golden/platinum tip, I've just ordred steel mesh from UK for 5 euro incl shipping ! THANKS !!

So.... first post on this site in forever! Love my mflb back in the day... Always wanted a maud dib but never had steady supply of concentrate back then. Now that they are available again and concentrate is plentiful I'm super tempted to get one. I already have the adapter for my rig from my mflb too.... and I've got my old school 2.0 power adapter. It's a shame they never seemed to have gotten more popular. Someone tell me why I shouldn't get one lol.

A guy I knew 15 year’s ago used a FLlGHT BOX to enjoy this demonized plant called MARIJUANA (CANNABIS)!
He had a PHD in biology but thought CANNABIS was very mild compared 2 similar mean’s?’

Thoughts on getting one from a third party vendor? I see a few listed in stock for really good prices at some online vape stores, but I think I remember seeing magic flight saying they were only selling directly through themselves at some point. That makes me kinda weary, I got my mflb from a legit vendor back in the day. I don't mind paying the full price from magic flight if that's my best option, they have been good to me in the past and replaced my original broken launch box no questions asked a few years ago. I forget, do they typically run 4/20 sales? Could definitely wait another month if it might be worth it.

I guess my only concern is I bought the concentrate trays for the mflb a while back and tried it a few times but never got satisfactory results. Not sure if I just couldn't figure the technique out or what but is the Maud-dib quite a bit better then the regular launch box with concentrate tray?

Almost wish I could find a Jack D'Rippa too lol

The Maud - dib is a much better choice for concentrates. . . it runs at a much higher temp than a regular launch box.

The Launch Box has actually found itself at the top of my rotation again of late, got 8 new powerex batteries and a MH-C980 charger as a gift last Christmas from a Magic Flight using friend so the Box has been a constant companion once again.

Where the MFLB really shines is with a thin layer of mid grade kief. I say mid grade because if it's too melty it could stick to the screen.

The fineness of the screen means nothing gets through, and the kief takes full advantage of the surface area of the trench. It vapes so thoroughly that you dont need to mix, and the vapor is potent enough that you don't need much, conserving battery.

Shoots me back to 2009 just thinking about it.

I find it so funny that five years after I purchased my MFLB PA, there's still problems with it. For a light user the batteries are fine, but for moderate to heavy usage they degrade too quickly (a set of 4 good batteries goes for 20$). The PA theoretically solved these problems and when the PA worked it performed really well. But damn, I have THREE of those fuckers (warranty replacements) and they're ALL broken. Either the wire or the plug would fail. I do have to note that the company was very considerate towards failures and only changed their PA warranty when it was obvious they couldn't keep up with the broken units.

Wow! The two in the picture work well with no problems. I did have a real pretty
PA as a beta unit that only worked when not on full power.
My son has that one as well as my newest LB, and he says it's working fine.
If and when Magic Flight comes out with a portable battery pack, they may
regain some market share.
I gave a friend the old PA and a LB which he used until he saw the Mighty vaporizer
and said WTF! I still love my LBs, but time has passed them by. :\

It's true unfortunately. It's a shame as their vape was really neat and they seemed really passionate.
Still a good option for light users though, and quite a big punch for its size.
