I think going out of business sales usually try to get rid of stock that clog up storage facilities/stores so that moving stock/prolonged rent payment don't increase losses. Seems unlikely that this is a consideration here.

Lotus has always been on the reasonable side of pricing for a vape, especially given how well it works. I had fairly recently gotten a Saucer cap, big improvement for me, and I just picked up a backup WPA and some supplies (plate and orings and screens) so I should be good going forward. Since Max's announcement I have been using my Lotus most of the time and I am reminded just how good and controllable a vape it is. I have a long stem but I use the WPA almost exclusively. I can probably count the number of times I have used the stem on one hand, but certainly on two.
Max's leaving the market leaves a big opening for someone else in the manual vape space if someone has a good idea...

You will be missed, Max. Enjoy retirement.

I placed my Lotus order right at the tail end of when orders were being accepted, it seems. I'm quite nervous -- I suppose today will be the moment of truth, we'll see if my order gets cancelled or anything. Crossing my fingers (and kicking myself for having hemmed and hawed over buying a Lotus for so many months)!

I'm in the same boat. Hope we don't miss out in the end!

99% you will be fine, you would already know if your order is out of stock or something

I placed an order for a WPA and a hot plate kit (with a "typical defect") yesterday and haven't heard anything negative. I typically order spare parts and replacements for expendible items; I went through my inventory and I should be good for a few years!

Damn, though — I'll miss this company. Not only was the product first-rate, but there was something refreshingly down-to-earth about the way they did business. (Compared to another company which I shall not name!)

Man this is so tragic! Lotus J-hook kit was actually the first piece I ever bought and what turned me into a vape head, still have and use the cap. I kept putting off upgrading - first to the hi temp cap, then to the saucer - cuz mine still works fine, guess I have to take extra good care of it now! Did a waterfall bong with it for old times' sake; this vape has some great memories attached to it!

I wonder if I made it under the wire for my supplies order. I got an email that the status changed to "
Awaiting Fulfillment".

I jumped on a WPA shortly after I got the email he was closing, so I did get one, along with some other supplies. I know it was something I wanted as I use it fairly often. I may put up my large stem for sale as I rarely use it. I have never had to replace a plate on either of my caps, but I picked one up for future proofing...
