Update: I still haven't received my Glow 18 that i ordered on November 4th. No update from Joel about the shipping inquiry either. I'll try one more email, but after that fails I'm just going to get a refund from PayPal.
I have not received my replacement unit for the defective unit I purchased about 8 months ago.
Despite being assured a couple months ago I would.
May wanna go ahead with that charge back.

@GradeANugs you also got some tracking number like RC******DE ? it's not fully trackable, i hope he will change it in the future, i think it's better to charge 22-25 E really trackable shipment ... waiting almost a month for my Glow, I hope it'll get here soon....

My tracking number was CA.....DE, from DHL. When I first asked about the delay, Joel mentioned something about packages taking a long time to get to Cali, which made me think he might have accidentally put CA instead of MA for my address. Unless it randomly got sent to Cali first somehow.

I hope you have better luck with the shipping than I did. A bit more than one month is still reasonable.

gotcha. anyway, I wouldn't open a PayPal case until 5 monthes left from order. let Joel decice what to do, he may will come up with a solution, you are protected by PayPal for 6 monthes from the moment of paying..

my replacement base arrived today. and they threw in a cooling stem which is really nice. but the base doesn’t actually fit the lid/cap that i have now d’oh. i will file it out to fit. they did try to make it up to me but i think it over it now. i’m glad i got the presale price but this new v3 seems to be inferior to their last version

What glass are people using with their glows? The 18 fits a bong natively right? Stupid question, I've never bought one before, presumably you'd need one with an 18mm female joint?

Fits 14mm no problem

In unrelated news, I exchanged the coils on my dreamwood glows with stainless steel coils so I could try tcr mode. I have zero clue about that stuff, so just ordered some pre-made coils (something something alien clapton) ss316l. Was actually kinda fun putting in the coils, making them fit, making sure they heat evenly etc. Had the first few bowls, and jesus christ it makes this so much better. I like fairly relaxed and longer draws, and with the glow i always ran risk of overtoasting with the old coils. No sign of that now, stays super steady and amazing. tcr mode on my aegis solo sets that tcr value to 105, and temp seems to stay pretty stable. Also my mod only gives me fahrenheit, I have temp at around 405 (no idea what that is on a sensible sclae) but seems like it's all good., Althought weirdly enough when I press the fire button the display then shows values at around 75F, no idea what the mod is trying to tell me. Anyone a clue? The fake it til you make it is strong on this one, I have no idea why it works but it works amazingly well so far.

Hello peeps, new member here & first time posting.

I was lucky enough to pick up the Glow18 V3 at the pre-order price & what a absolute bargain it was for this handsome little fella! 😝

The service & workmanship is top-notch from @Dreamwood

I’ve never owned a green vaporiser before so this tread has been so helpful reading everyone’s tips & opinions on the Glow range. 👊🏻

I’ve been a long time spliff man and started to vape juice for the last two years because I wanted to give up tobacco after about 35 years of using it, I was still using tobacco in my spliff but I have now decided to try and go down the green vape path for the healthy lifestyle.

I have converted one of my old squonking mods to hold my jack-pod tube so it’s easier to carry around, I had to remove the feeding juice pin from the holding tray and grind off the key ring holder on the jack-pod tube & it fits like it was made for it.

My Glow 18 V3 also looks banging on my 21700 battery ColdSteel 100 mod!
I changed the black airflow ring to sliver airflow ring to match the mod! 🤓

Not had a chance to use it yet! I’m just waiting on my green man to get a delivery! hopefully it’s bloody soon because just looking at it and not being able to use it is killing me! 😂
I’ll share an update on my thoughts soon!

Sorry the photos are not great quality, it’s a very grey day here in London so the lighting was awful. 😬

hi
the setup looks very nice (ehpro CS100) , but how many sessions do you do with a single 21700 battery (compared with a dual 18650 battery)?

Are the jack pods supposed to be a snug fit in the V3 wood stem?

On the unit I received they are very loose and will not stay in at all.

The jackpods don't stay in all my 18 mouthpieces when I insert them, but when
the mouthpiece is inserted into the Glow with the pod in it, the pod stays at the right place for even vaporisation.

What do you mean with lid/cap? English is not my native language, so sometimes I can't visualise what is meant.

try using tcr value of 125, worked great with the Imp. same material ss316l, i think you'll like it.. around 400F will be good yeah! i would like to get the ss316l coils when my glow 18 arrives, sounds perfect
Thanks for pointing that out !

Do you guys know why those vapes don't all come with SS coils by default, which would give the choice between using W or TCR ?
Is this related to reliability or something ?

Also, is this what is required ?
The resistance value (1.31Ω) seems a bit high, compared to what I read on this topic.

Is there a required diameter for this, I found those choices :
- 24 GA (0.51mm)
- 26 GA (0.40mm)
- 28 GA (0.32mm)

The maker of the Glow told a few times about the choice for Kanthal on his Instagram account (in the stories). I paraphrase the arguments:

1. Kanthal is designed to handle higher temperatures. Therefore it suits the Glow better than SS coils.
2. SS coils degrade faster with the used temperatures.

Do you know if the Splinter (which most of us use in TCR mode) is using SS coils ?
Because those (Splinter and Splinter Z) do handle high temperatures I think.

I don't know, never saw the Splinter heater. If I recall it correctly then Rasta Buddha Tao made his own heaters that are shaped way differently than the coils of the Glow. Hopefully someone else can chime in here.

Yes RBT heater is SS, but it's not actually a "coil".
As @Dutch-Mic said, the heater is shaped differently and one of its main differences with coils is that it does't glow IIRC.

Thanks Dutch-Mic for the answer. It seems odd that the air should be able to flow around the outside of the jackpod but I will give them another try.

FC coming through with the info once again. I love you guys.

Four months in to my Glow journey I have done what I should have at the start, and gotten a Wismec RX GEN3 Dual on the way. 10s cutoff is too short for sure, looking forward to tinkering with Arctic Fox etc.

Not too bummed to spend more money. I found myself swapping juice tank and Glow repeatedly and it was getting annoying.

The Wismec mods seem to be getting hard to find though at the moment, took a lot of rummaging before I found one on Vapefiend.

Just configured my Ravage230 for the Glow 18 which will arrive in the next couple days, from PC with data enabled micro-usb cable : NFE tools > Red Panda (in my case) > Control>Multi clicks > 2 clicks set to 'Autofire'
then in Advanced puff cut-off to 20s

same for Arctic fox i think. don't install tubomyevic - it's limited to 20W autofire in wattage mode tho

Hey all. My wife decided to hit one of my rcv18s a bit too long and combusted....so now that I've filed the divorce papers....it's time to get that stink and crappy taste out of the unit. Changed the coil, cleaned down the deck, changed the screen, scrubbed inside with 99 iso, still taste the smoke. Any tricks known out there? Thx

take a qtip with some Rum 40% alcohol, or whiskey maybe will work too, for the wooden stem, in case you didn't. because i don't see you mentioned you cleaned the stem?
