Tafée Bowle

Awesome video! Tafee is the way in 2021! Being a medical user as many of you, consistency is of utmost importance as well as terpene extraction to get all the healing properties out of our cannabis.

Now after a month or so it’s my main driver and the only time I use another vape is when its charging. It’s hands down the easiest portable to use IMO and extraction is out of this world! It seems each temp setting has something different to offer.
The glass has now gotten me to drinking more water which for any person who vapes is a good thing! I’m super excited to see what is to come from this innovative company!
Could you talk a little more about how this vaporizer has changed your daily routines and how it fits in?

Well instead of needing several vapes to get me thru the day, I use the Bowle 85% of the time, especially if in a hurry due to ease of packing pots and use, I only use other vapes when needed while Bowle is charging. IMO the effects are much purer and crisper, a totally different high if you will. Definitely looking at a second one so I can use all day nonstop if needed. It’s one of those that when you try it and see the same results over and over again that you have finally go WOW! Someone got it right; and that someone is Tafee!

I have poured over the website and am just not seeing what you are eluding to...
What Easter eggs have you found, care to share?

...I feel like I am looking at one of those Magic Eye puzzles, but my eyes just don't see it.

Bowle+ is mentioned on their IP page, if you're on a mobile device it can be tricky to find, but on a regular computer the page link is at the very bottom.

FWIW I still find their website to be pretty bad, and I still think the "wellness routine/terpene therapy" marketing is laid on a little too thick, almost like they are trying to sell these to scientists like Dr Hazekamp, and not my Grandmother.
I used to do website copywriting, information is good when people are ready for it, but at face value it's generally important to really "trim the fat" cause I think it's overwhelming when attempting to reach that demographic of folks with zero vaporizer experience and knowledge.

After watching both the videos above its interesting that Troy was running at full temp and nearly maxing out the draw time to get the kind of hits he likes. That's pretty much where I'm at with this Bowle. I thought it felt underpowered based on some comments here, but now after watching that I'm not so sure. I still kind of think something is wrong though based on @The Chemist last post regarding airflow differences between pucks. For example, my experience has been that the draw speed/duration/consistency is extremely important with this vape and hasn't been the "just click the button and inhale" as some mention. But I'm still waiting to hear back from Tafee on that.

So hearing this, and seeing some of your ABV pics is what makes me think there's something up with your puck. One thing I really enjoy about this thing is it's pretty intuitive. Sip on it and get smaller rips. Cheef on it hard, and get bigger rips. On some convection vapes, drawing slower will get you a bigger hit. This is counterintuitive to vape newbies.

My ABV only looks like your pics if I pull out the oven after one hit, probably on Level 1 or 2. I see no green after 2 hits. I also find Level 3 to be sufficient for big rips that cash the bowle in 2-3 hits. Level 4 is more for making sure there's nothing left. Or sleepy time. But I find it a bit hot as a starting point.

Kind've a bummer that there's some inconsistency on these. I sort of think it's a firmware issue with the breath sensor, but that's a guess.

Hmmm, apparently the plastic Potter is called the Potter+, so I might be wrong about Bowle+ being a bigger version....
Maybe Bowle+ is the cheaper, plastic version? 🧐

It looks like they've removed the ability to order without the cup, does anyone know if that's what they were calling Bowle+ since it was a bit more affordable?

I appreciate the feedback, that helps me make sense of things.
Another strange observation is sometimes it seems like it works better on the charger? Did a bowle on 4 this morning and it was alright, charge was around 50% so I plugged it in and turned it to temp 3 and it hit better? It seems like there's a bit of a power slump as the voltage depletes, does the power delivery seem consistent throughout the entire length of charge for everyone else?

Based on the number of what I hope are abnormalities I still think there is something fishy with this one, I'm hoping to hear back from them today.

depends on what the patent covers. The heater/ delivery system including breath sensor? Design?
If heater, wouldn’t the patent cover a plastic inclosed Bowle+ as well?

i find this is a very interesting vapo. I might have bought it, but it's too complicated for me to clean :(
It’s one of the easiest vapes to keep clean.

if you’re referring to the stem, it is not necessary to take the stem apart to clean. a combination of a quick q-tip wipe and a ziplock bag of isopropanol does a pretty decent deep clean.

does the power delivery seem consistent throughout the entire length of charge for everyone else?
That is one thing my bowle does well and my first pot is pretty much the same as the last.

After sending my pic to tafée and how I got there they said my unit looked like it was under performing. They told me to do the puck reset and after I started getting to short draws first in breath sensing mode than manual. Took another two resets but that has seemed to stop but my load is still unevenly cooking. Still I'm getting pretty good avb with plenty of stirring so I don't think my unit is completely garbage but not working to it's fullest potential.

The difference in airflow between the to pucks was pretty noticeable and I'm sure it was the main problem on my old puck.
With the new one I can inhale at normal speed and it doesn't shut off at all if I keep the speed of inhalation steady.
With the old puck it would always shut off randomly if I used it at normal speed, to make sure it wouldn't stop I would need to inhale at full speed and it wasn't something my lungs were capable of doing for long.

The Bowle is never gonna compete against a desktop but if I compare it with portable vapes it's one of the most potent vape I have. If I want to sleep I need to hit the desktop heavy hitters, but the Bowle is one of the few that can do the job if I can't use a desktop or want to vape in my bedroom. Before the Bowle, my favorite portable to melt my face was the Hoper IO, but the Bowle is so much easier to use and the vapor quality is excellent without having to use a water pipe like the IO need. I might need more than one session to do the job but when I'm done I'm always sleeping like a log with the Bowle.

The puck I have that's more restricted does not shut off while inhaling, the more open puck will on occasion switch to blue while I'm mid-draw. I use to try to inhale hard with the restricted puck because I was nervous it would shut off but it's not an issue so I go slow and steady now. My only issue with the restricted puck is that it's very finicky when it comes to the fast charging.

Does anyone have both the small and large tafee bowle? I went to order the large one today and it's out of stock. I am torn between waiting for it to re-stock and just getting the smaller one.

If you want the big cup just send off a email to tafée asking for a eta on restock. They have great customer service
Edit: I don't have both but for me being able to fit a full can of pop or beer with enough space left to be able to angle the vape towards yourself to inhale without spilling is why I went big cup.

There is no difference in vapor quality, even on heat setting 4 and a 20+ sec draw.

The small cup isn’t big enough for my liking, I would only use it for alcoholic beverages. It has the size of a whiskey glass. The bigger Bowle is just fine to have a limonade, some ice water or whatever you like.

I mostly use the short stem on setting 3 and 4 and a separate glass cup (not the included plastic one).

If I had to make my purchase again I would choose the small one without cup which isn’t available neither at the moment.

Hopes this helps you a litttle anyways.

Update
My vape might be springing to life ???? After more resets and charges I think something might be kicking on but can't be entirely sure since what I just vaped was pretty dry but when I went to look at my avb after my hit more than half the bowl was brown instead of just one corner! But like I said it was quite dry and maybe that's why??? But since that was a full high thc bowle bowl I'm to baked to investigate right now 🥴 maybe in a hour or so from now I'll grind some moist cbd and do so more trouble shooting. But I had to share my experience just now with tafée, I emailed them late this morning when I was getting uneven toasting and draw timer errors. I hadn't heard back from them yet but after my vape seems to have sprung to life I thought I should let them know in case they were planning on sending a new puck which was the likely outcome, and indeed they immediately emailed me back saying that were just about to hire a courier to do a drop off and pick up because of my problems with FedEx, at their expense! Talk about world class service! They really care about their clients and you are never treated like a number with copy and paste responses. I couldn't be happier than I am with the service I've received. I'm pretty high right now but it's tafée that's got me over the moon 🌛

No the option to buy Bowle without drinkware and potter+ did not have a special name... Perhaps you are overthinking this Bowle+ stuff from the patent?? ;)

Hmmmm all this talk does make me think mine isn't perfect, but I don't know I am not bothered much by any inconsistencies with my sensor or the airflow (that seems to be most dependent on how I load, and how dirty the chamber pot screen is anyway...)

Huh? This is one of the easiest vapes to clean of all I've ever used... And it can go a looooong time without any cleaning at all...

Has anyone used the Bowle both indoors and outdoors (in a ‘wintery’ climate) enough to have a good feel for the effects of the cold on battery life? I’m trying to get a feel for whether my battery life is within the normal range. I’m a deck-vaper almost exclusively due to my spouse being sensitive to weed, and all of my use of the Bowle has been around 32-40f, usually closer to 40f (the Bowle is at normal room temp until immediately before use).

I’m getting three bowls fully extracted on a charge if I’m making heavier use of level 3/4 to plow through them, or two bowls if I’m taking a more leisurely approach and spending time with several level 1/2 draws. Does this seem reasonable, given the temperature of the air being heated? And if you’re seeing similar outdoor performance, how many bowls are you able to get through on a charge when indoors?

Now I’m confused. Are there formal names or designations between the plastic potter that presumably comes with each TB and the metal one that’s optional? Why would the plastic/free one be designated with “+” and the metal one not? Inquiring minds (mine) wants to know.

Still on the fence about this vape yet I hang on every word herein and everyones’ feedback and reviews - and issues too. There’s a novelty allure to this thing yet a lot of reviews are very positive. I still don’t get the cup and likely not for me. It looks like an electric cup if you ask me, but with a wonderful secret. I want a new toy but not sure about this one yet. :peace:

My guess is that there was a decent amount of product evolution that took place over the last two years, and the naming of both the actual items as well as the components of their IP weren’t updated regularly in a way that made a ton of sense. I haven’t spent much time perusing their site via the Wayback Machine, but I’d be totally unsurprised if the Bowle+ was a concept that pre-dated the release of the Bowle, and I’d be similarly unsurprised if it was basically a dormant concept. I’m very, very excited about the next evolution of the Bowle, but I’d be shocked if it was something they were actively working on right now rather than refining the current model.

Yes, it's not really that confusing because it's on the website, the Potter is a metal grinder designed for filling the chamber pots, while the Potter+ is a plastic version... The Potter+ is included with the drinkware version, but it was not included in the option without drinkware when it was listed (although early orders got it anyway along with the drinkware, as early orders of the full set were given the regular metal potter for free too)

Sounds to me like you do get the cup, that's all it is, a way to blend in and be more mainstream accepted... It did not make sacrifices for the cup, the cup is just a bonus to the design and not necessary of course
