Tetra P80

I just received mine this morning and it looks absolutely amazing. I haven't tried it out yet but am so pleased with how it turned out.

Thanks for inspiring me on my design, mine is the cat one above. I couldn't decide on what I wanted and was almost about to go with something plain until I saw your one and decided it was worth putting a bit more effort in. Ralph really did a great job at giving me what I wanted, and more.

Ooh. I wish I'd been able to get a custom instead of prebuilt but the drop I got it from was only prebuilts and Tetra xs.

Hey, I went with a red P80, the canary wood, and a random inlay!

When it arrives I'll need rig up both of my P80s so that I could hit them at the same time for a massive hit! Does anyone know where you could buy a double adapter??

Cheers!
If you google double bowl adapter you should find some options.

My unit arrived today,

Man this thing is beautiful. Got to test it this evening right away. A few observations;
- Wow this thing is smaller than I expected.
- This is a work of art.
- I searched way too long for the fire button.
- This device vapes extremely well.
- Damn that mouthpiece fall out when the unit is upside down.
- This wood gives off the most amazing smell when the unit gets warm.

@Ratatat
Here is a picture of my Japanese oak unit.
It is more yellow and lighter in color compared to my tinymight which is (normal?) oak.
Didn't had the opportunity to shoot a picture in daylight yet.

Highly impressed.

For those of you who ordered and received a custom P80 with special inlay (glow in the dark, etc.), how soon after placing your order did Ralph/Paddy get in touch with you to get your design input? I sent Ralph an email about my design idea immediately after confirming that my payment went through on the last drop as I was afraid that typing it out on the website would have eliminated my chances of scooping one. I haven’t heard back from Ralph so I’m crossing my fingers that he at least got my message. Tia.

Haha don't worry at all, it's going to be a long while before your unit gets made, and I think that would be one of the more final steps? In any case they will get back to you when they can, I don't think you have to be concerned, just try to patiently put it out of your mind!

Hey this worked, thanks!

This morning I scrolled through the menus and compared them to the screenshots in the manual.

In the first image it shows TCR. My unit show Tubo.
Also the middle line in the image shows: COIL,
While my unit shows: W2C1. I can't change this in edit mode. What does this all mean? I'm new to this kind of stuff.

Also the Algo settings in the manuals differed slightly with my unit so I corrected that. That's OK?

leave it at what comes factory set, the manual is a bit dated, i will update it

w2c is what warmup2cruise is set to, 0 off, 1 warmup to cruise, 2 warmup to tempest.

eco shows the eco features, see extended manual on shop.lamart.ch (top right) for more info

Ok so I can just factory reset and then I'm good?
Stupid me can't remember the algo settings that it came with.

Edit: can't seem to find how to do factory reset

there is no factory default besides updating the firmware BUT then other stuff like coil resistance and tcr values get reset.

the only deviation from the manual for the PID values is I with 650 (it doesnt matter much but its a bit more aggressive with the 50 plus)

warmup2cruise and eco can be adjusted in menu>vaping, you can play with that and see what you like.

in general i recommend using the device out of the box without diving into the settings right away :D

have fun testing it!

play with the eco settings , it'll save you some battery. i like the eco 1 setting, it gives you more battery life, the draw is abit longer tho

I like having an adjustable stem with my Tinymight. Is there a stem that I could adjust the load for use in my P80? One basket screen of weed doesn't suffice. I know that I could simply use another basket screen after the first one is exhausted. But that would be too easy and make too much sense. Damn these devices are beautiful !!

well you could do the full joint load, though I don't find it as effective, another thing that would allow you to load more that I don't find as effective, would be the vapexhale ELB's

+1 for these ELB, you can also do double layering, herb on 15mm screen of the stem, and herb also in the basket screen..so you can do 0.3g or even more..better not going too much because you will have to stir the bottom layer if it's too much but the basket will be hot! pay attention..

So I just got ahold of my unit and I think I may have screwed up. I don't know the first thing about 18650 batteries but I heard the Molicell P26A was popular (with Mooch) so I ordered some. But the wattage on my P80 is all over the place, jumping from apx 4-18w I wanna say and the temperature is fluctuating as well. Does this sound like just a poor battery choice causing my issues?

Do not use anything but the batteries recommended in the lamart manual. (LG HG2/ Sony VTC6 / Sony VTCsomethingelse)

That is like only using Kleenex tissues... those are reputable suggestions but you are not limited to those.

Your performance is not battery related, especially if it exhibits the same exact behavior with multiple batteries.
Your description is very vague, post a video. I imagine your fluctuations are normal, just the device balancing bursts of power to maintain the proper temps in the heating chamber...

I know an awful lot about batteries but I really am not a know-all on the P80. I am curious to hear other's diagnosis of your brief description.

Are you using it? How is performance?
Funky said it best, the P80 heater LOVES airflow. So seal your lips and rip deep! I use mine exclusively on Cruise mode and find a 3min timer PERFECT!

I guess I haven't seen many Tetra screens while they're actually running, it just seems abnormal to me. This is how it looks in cruise mode and it never really settles, it's always jumping around. Performance seems great, I'm getting huge tasty rips it's just a little distracting and worrying to see the data on the screen constantly fluctuating.
