Well I'm hoping to get my new unit before I get the other one repaired!!!! Lol
I figure this way every three months I can send one in for a new coil while I use the other !!

Now @Jill NYC is it the first part, the second part or all of it that makes you laugh?

@Djsleepy - Definitely the later! I can’t believe YOU lasted this long with just one!
You definitely put your vapes through their paces.

I am glad you are getting a backup - and it’s no laughing matter to have a nonworking FF2+ - I hope it gets to you quickly.

I'm running a mighty as well but FF2+ is the best and had.really no problems...this was just my "normal" wear and tear.......lol.....I

So, I gotta say the jet black is pretty darn sleek looking and nothing says good like a brand new unit....I forgot how hard this thing hits at 340 when running right.....love my FF2+!

What's up folks! My wife and I picked up our first dry herb vape back in April. I decided to go with the FF2+, primarily for the stealth factor and on demand convection tech. I'm not going to lie....the first few sessions were rough. After more than a few frustrating sessions, we finally got things dialed in! BUT....occasionally our material will combust seemingly randomly. It's probably happened to us about six times to date. I keep the FF exceptionally clean, in fact I clean it before each use. The chamber screen is completely clear. I'm not overpacking the bowl....the material has plenty of breathing room. BTW, I'm not talking simply "darkened" material....the material turns cherry red, and gets "cooked" on to the upper glass portal. The bowl continues to smolder slightly ( for a very short time period) even after disengaging the heating element. It's an extremely unpleasant experience to be taking a nice long pull and then suddenly your vapor turns to scorching smoke. My wife burned her throat on one occasion and was tender for a few days afterwards.... she's at the point where she won't even use the device now because even though it hits as expected 39 out of 40 pulls, she's gun-shy and I don't blame her. It's also happened to me before but I have a bit more experience with old school combustion than she does.....but it's still a shock to the system. After WEEKS of contacting customer support, I finally got a RMA # from them. Seriously, this company's support has been shit show to deal with (granted the pandemic is to blame, but frustrating nonetheless).

Here is my question: Has this happened to any other FF owners? I ordered the device from the FF website, so I know it's not a counterfeit. Combustion has occurred at temps ranging from 360 to 410. Does this sound like a faulty unit guys? I'm hoping they do the right thing and just send me a new unit but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks in advance for your input!

funny I just got my second unit( 1st burned out coil and no repairs are being accepted for two weeks ) and I just had my second combustion and it was shocking!

I ran my first one hard and not one combustion and this new Jet Black one .... I have had two combusts .... what color is yours?

edit: ok not cool 3 combustion’s....does anyone know if jet black was originally an option for color when it first came out? I hope it’s not the stealth curse that was with Ghost? They made changes to color and some functions and some of those were combusting all the time ime .....

Another combuster eh. Damn so weird. Never heard about this issue until you and the other dude you had the issue and needed a replacement. Just terrible.

I do have to say. Nothing beats the first 2 hits. Huge rips. Huge punch to the head and just thick ass vapor. After that, I still get big hits, just not as dense and you don’t feel it in your throat as much as those 1st 2 hits. I love those hits.

Hasn't done it since...thank goodness ...I know exactly what @someguy71 means by combust.....when a FF2+ combusts.it's way worse.than Ghost.or.Haze.combust....think about those. "First two hits" and add Combustion lol!!!!

The Firefly2+ is basically the same as the FF2, but it comes with an updated firmware package/app update to help heating and battery efficiency. But the biggest change was in the oven screen, which now has slightly more airflow than the FF2 screen.

Firefly reduced the price a bit for the FF2+ model which is great, but it comes at the loss of a spare battery, a second concentrate pad, and the brush and pic.

You can send in your FF2 to have it updated with the new screen and firmware update, or you can update the software/app yourself if you do not want to spend the $30 or so to send it back to Firefly for the full update with newer screen. (most can notice a difference in the draw pressure, but some can not).

For best use, this vape requires a slower loner draw than most other vapes. The heater will stay on for 26 seconds at a time, you may or may not need that entire draw time to get results depending on your heat settings and what you are using in the vape. A general place to start on temps is 360F for flower and 470F for concentrate pad use. When using with flower you will have better results stirring and not using a fine grind normally. Using whole buds can also help with reducing the buildup of reclaim. The vape shines when using concentrates with the pad. In fact many still use their FF2's only for this reason. Pressing flower and then using with the FF2's works very well. You can reuse the pads a few times before you will need to clean them. Soaking in ISO is recommended, you may need to let soak for longer periods to let everything breakdown and release from the pad. Use a small container and try rinsing and re-soaking a couple times for best results. You can torch the pads...but then tend to not last as long that way.

With convection heating that is on-demand, the FF2(+) are great vapes with cool vapor paths and the ability to do both flower and concentrates on the go.

Hi, I am new to this forum and would like to ask where I can purchase a Firefly 1, either new or used. I have absolutely no interest in the Firefly 2 model. Thanks to anyone who can answer with some advice!

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has messed around with the calibration setting on their device using the android app? If so what setting do you recommend and why?

Found an alternative to clean the firefly. It’s a natural cleaner. Well Troy at 420 vape zone used it in his Mighty. It’s called dark crystal glass cleaner. It’s a Canadian product. Cleans vapes very well. And is used for glass. Firefly is glass on the air path. And since there is no ISO and all natural. It won’t mess up the gasket on the lid I would think. May be an excellent alternative to cleaning then iso. Apparently it works better in certain surfaces. And it takes away the fear of messing with the gasket.

Another thing I love about the Firefly is the way the vapor path shows up on that beautiful mirror finish

I was told last week it would be two weeks before they were accepting and processing repairs and warranty.... so I think mid august ...depending on how their Covid situation may be and restrictions in place.

Now I can confirm they shipping units as I got my second one a week or so ago.....
