Vapman

I feel like I'm fine tuning my herbal experience everytime I pick up this little fellow.

Very exact with a fine point torch lighter such as my recently purchased flint-wheel skinny Aomai - which feels even more precise to me when I hold it in a pen-like grip and use the flame to draw tiny neat circles around the apex of the pan. Tiny, tiny, mesmerizing circles . . .

Time passes yet I feel vapman does not get old.

A timeless piece from the Swiss, is this.

You can't have time without timelessness, I guess?

Warm wishes to René :)

Blessings to all

I don't even know the name of it, I guess it is of the Dalbergia family, it has similarities with Cocobolo and other Rosewoods but it is less dense. Man, do I love woods!!
The friend hoe gave you the box with some pieces of wood said to me: it‘s definitely Wengé wood! :)

He was very happy to hear that it was worth it to make some special Vapman from his small pieces. 👍 He also loves his cherry tree Vapman and likes to say thank you very much! 💐

Haha nice, yeah I just don't really want to deal with the failing! unfortunately my station has been sitting in Finland for a month now, waiting to ship to the US...

Vgoodiez has some back in stock including box wood and yew:love:

So is it safe to assume everyone that has a station will most likely not be parting with it?

I know I’ll never part with mine. I haven’t used a torch since it arrived!

Maybe someone will buy the business from Rene and decide to revive the Stations in the future? We can only hope.

What's the best portable bubbler for the vapman?

I'm about to order a Budgie 1.0 in a few hours.... as it seems to have the best double water filtration system and seems to be pretty compact to carry around.

Any one have Better suggestion?

(PS: been using a custom made double water filtration bong with so called ash catcher attached for the Past few weeks and wow, the vapman works perfectly on it.

The only downside the vapman is that the vapor is pretty harsh/hot. Double water filtration systems make the vapman perfect for home use.

I hope the Budgie 1.0 will offer an experience similar to the home setup, and still be discrète enough to use in public.

Never used water pieces nor jhooks with a vapman ...
that's where the Lotus would fit in, imho

Vapman shouldn't be so harsh, maby too much heat?
(i use the station with the vapman, so i can't speak much for "manual" heating (butane))

Excellent point. The driver is driving, can't blame the car for where it goes. Instead of 'vapman is too harsh', or even '....too harsh for me', perhaps we should say 'the way I'm using it, vapman is too harsh for me'?

For sure it's not universally too harsh, not everyone objects to the way it works. You can't say that everyone, or even most owners (?) find it so.

"It's a poor Craftsman that blames his tools"

All in all, IMO, It's a powerful tool for good. And in a modern world that needs such things desperately. As a bonus it's an elegant design and pretty to look at. Pride of ownership is very high overall?

Regards to all.

I've been a huge fan of the vapman and own several vapmans,

but after using it as my daily driver for over a year, my chestmuscles/lungs are starting to be a bit irritated by the vapman the past few months.

I think due to two possible reasons:

- maybe the vapman has not enough airflow, which cause me to have to draw much more hard/forced from the vapman as compared to a FURY edge for example?

And this way straining chest muscles?

-maybe there is not a lot of distance between mouthpiece and oven in the vapman which also means hotter vapor?
Could explain why lungs feel kinda irritated by the heat(or is it dryness, it's hard to identify the sensation )

IIt's less of a problem when vaping with the vapman through a bong.

Above-mentioned reasons is why instead of a portable water bubbler for the vapman

I'm now more thinking about buying a whole new vaporizer with less draw resistance and cooler vapor... Like fury edge perhaps ?

EDGE is, IMO, an excellent vape, well worth consideration. So is Fury 2 which is basically the same thing in a smaller package with smaller battery (say four sessions life?) and less options for MPs and such. They both have the same heater/oven (although EDGE is SS), hold the same amount of herb, and produce very similar vapor therefore.

And they are less restricted, but that actually means larger volumes of less dense vapor. And just as hot. Since vapor forms at say 390F all cooling has to happen after that stage. Unless you go to a bigger (longer) MP it's just as harsh when producing at the same level as Vapman (or a whole host of others).

The water in bubblers doesn't really cool much. Many report the same effect with no water. Extra tubing will do as much WRT cooling. The actual atomic level contact with the water is just very small? Importantly, though, WTs can add moisture back to the cooled (therefore very very dry) air/vapor. This can be a big help with sensitive throats and other such issues. For instance, putting a bit of cotton cloth (or my favorite classic cotton pipe cleaners folded up) in a handy place like the cooling chamber in EDGE or F2 with some water will do a fairly good job of moisturizing without a WT at all.

Good luck with your quest for a vape that better suits you, but IMO Vapman has a lot to offer.....as I guess you already know?

Regards to all.

I don't find the Vapman all that harsh. Definitely not the smoothest vape ever when used native given how short the vapor path is, but the air inlets help make it pretty cool for how short the path is. I've messed around with J-hooks and water, but the Vapman ritual is best enjoyed native IMO.
