hey so im pretty sure the heat stand w debowler comes with the basic heat stand no? If so then you don’t need to buy both! If I’m wrong then I’ve made a dumb ass error on my order then

The 5" heat stand w/debowler does include the heat stand (it's in the name). The basic heat stand is ONLY the heat stand on a solid piece of metal. I only got that for now because it's half the price and I wanted a heat stand, while still keeping the overall order below the limit of my budget.

Does the FP require a high heat cleaning cycle on the first start or do they come ready to go? If it needs it, how hot and long long?

The rule with ANY vape should ALWAYS be to first clean the entire vape (bowl/chamber and air pathway at minimum), with iso as (long as it's a material that can take iso), and then (after drying), do a couple burnoffs before you use it for the first time.

Hello FC, this is Clem Fandango, can you hear me?

Look guys -- I love my Showerhead and all the fancy metal accessories. I have been putting a gram a day thru it for months.

But let me be honest, the wood working on their cap handles leaves a lot to be desired. Even though oak or whatever they're using is a bad choice due the size of the grain, they could vastly improve the feel of the handles with like 30 seconds of 1000 grit sandpaper while it's still on the lathe. I know NewVape is a machine shop and all, but still...

Anyway, don't want to be only negative, so please allow me to share pics of an upgraded handle that a nice fella from Reddit made for my Showercap. It's only a small detail, but the size and finish makes it a joy to use. Definitely worth DIYing or finding someone that turns wood to make.

Has anyone used the auber 300a pod stand? I can't figure out how to remove the original knob to install the newvape metal knob.

That wood handle looks awesome. I didn't know they had wood handles. My carb cap has a dab tool handle.

Just got my weedeater from the 420 sale. It is very appropriately named. this thing is hella powerful. I don't like the idea of dabbing directly off the top, but I sprinkled a bowl with some rosin on top and it went down beautifully. very happy with this thing so far.

wait Weedeater doesn't have a dab surface on top! haha but sprinkling the the flower with wax or rosin works very well!

Got my 420 order already! Heat Stand and Debowler, 14mm glass bowl and enough extra screens and sic dishes to last a really long time. Now all I need is a spare coil at some point... Should have ordered that also.

And I really like the glass bowl, but the screen always falls out when attempting to empty the bowl. Kind of annoying, so I'm torn on if it's worth it or not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Never try dabbing off of the top with the WeedEater! That would be a mess! Just keep doing what you're doing lol

That is SICK. Makes me want to try and make one myself.

My NV wood handle looks like yours, but I've had it since they released. Still works fine, but chipped towards the bottom.

Do you find the custom one causes a lot more heat soak when you cap it?

Got my 420 order ... And I really like the glass bowl, but the screen always falls out when attempting to empty the bowl.

What it sounds like is that you're using NV's fixed-screen glass bowl with an additional NV ti screen inside??? If so, what size screen are using that it's falling out? I'm confused about all of this. :hmm:

I'm using the ti screen the glass bowl came packaged with... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tried it without a screen and its a mess even with a course grind.

Edit: just tried using the ti screens for the titanium bowl and they're way too big. If I knew the glass bowl used a different screen size, and had this issue, I wouldn't have bothered. $30 lesson ugh

Hello Matty, this is Clem Fandango. Can you hear me?

I use the glass bowl with the larger ti screens (that are meant for the ti bowl), I just trim about a mm or so off the sides with my Fiskars trimming scissors. After a couple tries, I have a perfect fit single layer ti screen that doesn't fall out when raking it on the debowler. You can make good use of the five pack NewVape sends with the ti bowl.

Search this thread for an amazon link to smaller ti screens that may fit the glass bowl. It's probably China ti, so no fancy certificate of grade.

I'm sure you could get some of your $$ back if you put the bowl up for sale here or elsewhere. I'd happily send you some paypal bucks to cover the cost of shipping if you really can't stand looking at it ;)

Because the glass bowl are handmade there will be a little inconsistency inherently. If your screen falls out and its really getting the best of you, Id trim a 3/4 screen to fit it snug.

and voila!

I order glass screens for my glass bowls. I have 3 14mm jointed bowls and 2 18mm joint bowls. The screens are loose in the 18mm bowls and fall out. One falls out if tipped over and the other falls out sometimes when tipped over.

They fit the glass bowls that have 14mm joint fine though.

If you want to use the glass without a screen i suggest tight tamp and no stiring. Kinda sucks the screens the screens dont fit great but thats what it is apparently.

Edit: damn... nv telling you to trim a screen you just purchased from them that doesn't work... Thats weak. Lets not forget them showing them specifically fit securely on youtube and ig.

Next time, if you dont want to deal with that... The glass bowls are on dhgate. And you can probably pick up some screens at a gas station for 2 bucks for 10 and "trim" like newvape suggested. Less than $20 total. Save $ and get more. Now that's customer service! Skip the middle man if the service isnt coming with it, and go straight to the hard working Asians making the handmade bowls. Even beats the 420 deal.
