I’m wondering if a few “FlowerPotters” could chime in and tell me about temperature adjustments they
make when vaping flower using the ShowerHead. I’m interested in maximum flavor in the vapor, and my hits will not be that large. I know temps can vary with different strains of flower, but I just want a general consensus of what the temperature progression should be. I will also be using the perc/bubbler if that matters. What would be the minimum amount of flower that can be used in this vape?

If ShowerHead and chasing flavor start around 5-550 F. I run high temps and do not change my temps throughout a session as I am shooting for really fast extraction as close to combustion effects as possible.. without combustion occurring

I ordered a showerhead and waiting it to arrive. Curious to know which temp you use as I too aim for these heavy milky hits. And wether you use the carb cap or not?

I use my showerhead at 655f get massive clouds oh yeah! And I have never used a carb cap but Im only on flower

No carb cap, 12” double Matrix with ash catcher, very finely ground herbs barely covering the screen, fast draw for less than 5 seconds, flying high at 747 F, remove heat and clear. If you draw for longer at these temps you will combust. It does take multiple draws of less than 5 seconds to clear the bowl, which could likely be done in one draw at lower temperatures, but my perception is I do not get the same effects that way.

originally I wanted to order Auber SH bundle but when I made the order the bundle wasn't available, so I ordered Auber WE bundle + SH assembly (which does not include Showercap whttps://www.newvape.com/collections/clearance/products/showercap)
I sent an email asking to add the showercap, hope I'm not too late

That is focused on fx and i have to control my draw as it is possible to combust
very little, but she likes to eat good :-)
little Tip: you can use a Basket screen in the Bottom of the Ti Bowls which makes a nice option for micro dosing

Thanks. I couldn't afford the whole kit I wanted at the time I placed the order, so I just ordered the bare minimum, figuring that I could still order the other parts a piece or two at a time later.
What I originally ordered in the 4/20 sale was the VRod head, the 14MM male post, the shovlehead bowl, and a 20mm coil.
Now that I've received another paycheck since I placed that order, I want to add the Basic Heat Stand and the Enail Handle. After that, the only thing I will still need to order next time I get paid is the Universal Carb Cap, and eventually the 5" Heat stand w/debowler. Maybe I can afford to order those a couple weeks from now.
Any thoughts as to applying a higher temp initially to the ShowerHead to heat treat it? I like the swell blue patina that some of the users have developed after using the FlowerPot system.
Anyone have recommendations as to the temp to use to develop this great coloration?

hey so im pretty sure the heat stand w debowler comes with the basic heat stand no? If so then you don’t need to buy both! If I’m wrong then I’ve made a dumb ass error on my order then
just use it and run it regularly. It will develop it's own patina. If truly interested in accelerating the process for some reason probably jack it up to 800 or so and leave it on the post for a few hours.
Mine has awesome blues and purples from natural usage and I feel like it was broken in by me...
I hear ya @MAbud. I was thinking if I could give it a great start with a heat treatment, then the subsequent following color variations may even be more intense.

Got the VROD bundle for 420. I was really torn between that and the weedeater. I don't really dab ever, but I was hearing that it performs equally or better than the weedeater and if I ever want to I can do dabs on it as well. Recently I've looked more into this thread and noticed a lot of people preferring the showerhead and now I'm second guessing my decision. Did I make a mistake? Should I have gotten the weedeater or showerhead?
I'm about 90% flower and 10% concentrates. I've never experienced a better device for flower and for concentrates it's as good as you can get without having a dedicated rig. Easily the best dual purpose vape.
You'll have to pry the Vrod out of my dead hands. Wouldn't give it up for anything.

Don't sweat it. You can't go wrong with any of them. If you want to try the WE or SH at a future time you can always go shopping again. I know it's more money but I think several people have multiple NV devices.

I really wouldn't worry much about it like what's been said above. I've gotten into having a dedicated e-nail for dabbing purposes but my VROD is still my go to for all of my flower consumption, even without running as many dabs on it as I used to I still don't feel like I need to switch to a weedeater or showerhead. It's a fine dabbing platform too, I just prefer playing with different materials and having a larger surface area then the VROD offers. Double deckers of dabs and flower are still plenty of fun!
If you do want to try the weedeater or showerhead in the future it will be cheaper that time around as you can just buy the head assembly and use your coil/controller. I really doubt you'll be disappointed with your VROD however! I remember reading through many pages of this thread and really going back and forth on what to choose, I can't say I've had any of those second thoughts after getting mine!
