I’m so excited to get my hands on the new Hopper.IO, these latest posts are encouraging. I like that HL are well engaged here, that shows they are a solid company doing their best.

cant wait to hear what the first wave of people have to say about the new power under the hood - like it wasn’t powerful enough lol

Here is to hoping the blue ones are out the door next

Stay safe out there people

Got my IO today. Charged it for about 2 hours and loaded up a chamber of Amnesia Haze CBD
hemp. The dial arrived set at 3, so I tried a session at 3. Instant heat up, great taste and effect.
All of the refinements are evident: well marked temp settings, instant heat, white led, and only 3 and 1/4 turns to thread the front end on fully. I received the Ti version and it included the leather sleeve that I had ordered. I will be housing the IO in the sleeve after each use. This vape I would like to keep as flawless as possible. Oh, the pocket clip has been redesigned so that it does not contact the body. Great work @Hopper Labs! I will report back after some further testing.

does anyone know the advantages or disadvantages of the chargers from xtar vc4s and vp4? So for vaporizer batteries. the vc4s can also charge normal household batteries which is not important for me.

i am interesting in use of 18650, VTC6 and the new Grasshopper battery packs

nice nice your new hopper io .. in some weeks when new batteries arrived, i will buy too

The VC4 charges at a max current of 0.5A when all 4 slots are used where as the VP4 is 1.0A when all 4 slots are used. The VP4 can charge as low as 0.25A. The VC4 uses a USB to DC barrel cable where as the VP4 has it's own power supply. As you said the VC4 can also charge NiMH where as the VP4 only charges Li-Ion.That's from a quick comparison from https://lygte-info.dk/info/roundCellChargerIndex UK.html
Here's the full review for the VC4 https://lygte-info.dk/review/Review Charger Xtar VC4 UK.html

As long as you're not talking about the VP4 Dragon however which is again another charger.

I'll work on some better videos in due time... right now just trying to enjoy this...

forgot how nice the hopper vape signature is...
Awesome video man, couldn't help but notice on your second rip the lights on the IO flicker (at about the 1:25 mark), have you noticed a lot of flickering? Was that maybe an old battery? Thanks for your time. :)

Was that maybe an old battery?

Yeah, they sent us old, matte label GHB2s for testing the Hopper io - a lot of my batteries perform poorly with minimal life, which is why I was being a bit coy in my videos... I need new batteries or the power adapter before I really start hooting on it.

How is the flavor at 5 compared to 3.5 on the dial?

Flavor at 5 is still great. Very strong flavor, especially with that rattlecan which really helps to preserve the flavor!

I definitely could have gone further in both of the videos I've posted.

So far, I agree that the draw resistance has been improved and excess heat has been reduced. I wish I had more batteries or the power supply! I'd be happy to run through all my material testing this!!

It still has that same SUPER HEAVY signature that the original hopper had, and it's still a blast to use.

Love my io already. The difference in airflow between the og and io is remarkable, no matter which front end you use. The og with pfe is harder to pull on than the io with stock front end.
Instant on is amazing. Gotta wait to see how reliable this hopper is over time, but I'm very pleased with my first 3 bowls.
I do believe it to be a worthy upgrade. Instant on makes it feel pretty magical.
The stock front end does get a bit warm, but the redesign zeems to make it get less hit than the og.

but the Xtar VC4S (not VC4) must also be able to load 4 x 1 amps or only 4 x 0.5? that is the most important thing for me.
does anyone have the vc4s charger?
I just want to be sure because there is something else everywhere

sorry for offtopic

I use the efest LUC V4 for my Hopper cells. Charges up to 4 at 1a. It is also basically 4 separate chargers in one so each cell is monitored.

I would not waste any time in Hopperland with what ifs. These ponderings have driven more than a few fine FC members absolutely batshit with anticipation. If you want one, get one. When it gets there, you will have it. Simple suggestions, not intending bad vibes or negativity. Life is too short to hold to hold your breath for
the next best thing. The IO is badass, its achilles' heel is the same as the original, the power cell. No matter how efficient, redesigned, more powerful, we are all waiting for new cells. Without them, its only premise....

I can easily see this one being used native with regularity now.

The draw resistance+excess heat improvements definitely make it feasible to use with the standard MP... Also how quickly you can take a rip off the io means the total on time, and total contact time are both under the threshold for getting hot.

Even on longer waterpipe rips with my SS PFE on, I never had any trouble or thought twice about the surface temps afterwards.

It definitely gets noticably warmer as the hit progresses, but it hasn't felt alarming or unnatural so far

Yes the VC4S does 4 cells at 1.0A per cell. In the first link I posted it tells the max charging current for all cells for each charger without going into the in-depth review. I haven't checked pricing between models but I have the VP4 Dragon which can charge 4 cells at 0.5A or 1A and can charge up to 2 cells at 2.0A. I went with it because of the capability to charge Li-Ion and NiMH as well as the included power supply. I bought from XTAR on Aliexpress which had much lower pricing then anything I could find in Canada.

Check your order on the hopper website ;)
It must've just updated because I've checked it at least 50 times but there is a number now :brow:

Should have her tomorrow. :ko:

Edit: I'll be the first to admit I was wrong (this time ) about HL. Not only did they ship something I ordered on time they even beat their own deadline by a few days.
