I am sorry to say that my new Crafty+ is taking over 4 hrs to charge. The app will not save the setting i select

Being rated at 10 watts input, It will do this or similar when connected to a USB outlet which does not provide 2 amps (2000mA) or more, how's your rating?
The app I found to work seamlessly on some devices and not on others, maybe if it's only to store one setting it could be done on a friend's or family member's device? That's what I did!

Appreciate the advice. I might try to use my wife's phone.

This is the adapter I'm using. I think its right.

Samsung with 9v switching "adaptive fast charging"? Looks ok but sounds a little different too. Hard to say without trying another plug first. If you planned to get some other charger option now might be a good time!
I got a 10000mah powerbank that puts out both 1amp and 2.1amp for only €5, or maybe you intended on getting another cheap wall plug or one for the car sometime.
You might be able to borrow something for a test.

I use a converted fast charger supply from an old Puffit2 on mine (5volt 2000mA) and it seems to be on the long side of charge times but not 4hrs or more.
The charger on the SB site seems a bargain at almost discount store prices.

According to google:
"Adaptive Fast Charging is the smartest option to charging your Samsung mobile devices. Not only is it speedy, but it knows when to stop charging to prolong the life of your battery. Simply charge your phone from any power outlet. Compatible with Samsung's range of fast charging chargers, you'll hardly run out of power."

Wonder if its throwing off the Crafty+

Double posting.... i know ... i know.... so sorry!

I just have to clear the air after my semi negative recent posts about my Crafty+.

You guys were right, a 2.1 amp charger adapter helped the charging issue. Man it would have been nice if they provided this. Its now charging in 124min. This still sounds like longer than most people are experiencing.

Uninstalled the app then reinstalled. Now my setting are saving properly.

With this thread being so quiet, it doesn't seem that many people are having defective units at this point.

Interesting...

How many bowls are you getting per charge again?

Really? I thought the Crafty+ heat up time was supposed to be faster than the OG Crafty .... something like 30 sec ... my OG Crafty heats up in ~1:20 ...
Never tried an OG Crafty actually. From what i have read and heard on youtube the old Crafty's heat up time was around 2 min i thought. You would know best though.

What do you think about the 124 min charge time? Is it defective or am i impatient?

Should i send it in and have S&B give it a look? I dig the hell out of this thing and don't want to be without.

Old & In the Way
That’s the only real improvement I can see them making. USB-C. I wonder if they considered it?
As a certifiable old fart I don't have any devices that use usb-c (yet).
I have a Mighty and love the way it charges (9 volt, idr the amps at the moment). It's strong enough to allow virtual pass thru operation (power it even if battery discharged, they say). Mighty's 2 batteries charge faster that og Crafty's one.
So I'm wondering why have they not just put that system into Crafty? Slightly less portable? More options for battery pack on the go charging with usb-c?
Or is it that the Mighty+ will go to usb-c?

That just happened...
The smart option would be to move mighty to usb-c. It’s backwards compatible so you can still slow charge your device using a older USB port. Everything is using usb for power now. The barrel plug is a dinosaur.

I may like my dinosaur, but I'm open to change.
Would the usb-c be as fast and strong as the Mighty charger is now? Or more? I guess that's the heart of my original questions. Or would it be simply more convenient, while better than usb?

EDIT,
The Mighty charger is 12v, I had it confused with all of the effects pods and stuff that go with my music gear, which are 9 volt -- all dinosaurs apparently, as they use a quite ubiquitous barrel plug! to bypass their 9 volt battery option.

I am also a musician. You might like this gadget. It’s a usb to 9 volt cable. I use it to power my guitar pedals and fx using a common usb power bank.

dinosaur barrel plug!
The dinosaur plug came in handy on a trip to a remote Tassie island where I used a Sat TV power cord to charge my Mighty at a Hotel (my charger was already on a barge back to the mainland). But yeah, USB-C would normally be better.
It seems more and more items are changing to USBc...magnetic charging would also be nice as an option.

The temperature accuracy with this vape is much better than the old Mighty i had. I used to set the temperature a few degrees lower than what i really wanted in the Mighty because of the swing it would have as it was bouncing back from hit to hit. It would always go 3 or 4 degrees f higher than i set it, just to make sure it was staying within range. The Crafty+ is much better at this.
