i think i'll just have to man-up and get some ordered lol. i was trying to find everything in the same place (screens and stems that wont cost the earth to be delivered) but i think i'll just have to put my big boy shorts on and get an order in with @funkyjunky to scratch my buying itch :D

I am confident that if @funkyjunky has basket screens he will sell you a few extras. Just ask @funkyjunky he gives veery good customer service and he stands behind his products.

the site is sold out of baskets at the moment so i think i'll try the arizer baskets and see how they fit. the rest of my bits, especially the bent spiked stem, are on my list for sure.
again, i meant no ill will or disrespect in terms @funkyjunky's products, im just a bit skint at the moment and trying to figure out the most cost effective way of getting all the parts i'm after :)

im so tempted to get one of these! i wish i'd not asked about stems now:worms:. too many choices haha. i'll make a decision eventually. petitioning the wife will give me time to make a decision
thanks so much everyone, it's been a massive help... and a hindrance but help more than anything else :D
@Padriano those Tubo bodies are incredibly beautiful! i absolutely love my standard poplar (i think its Poplar) so much but the dark engraved one with the wide open air port looks incredible!!
@Padriano do you use a tad of water in it? or hit it dry? and hows the temp?? i have asthma (not as severe as when i was younger) and struggle some times with the higher temps. cant use the short stem without my whip, but getting up above 210*c to finish the bowl takes it out of me a little, even with the bent stem

Thanks @Grobalot ! I always use it dry.. I wouldn't recommend using it with water because it could spill on to the load if you're not careful (they're designed to use dry). You can fit a whip on it though

I'm not the most impartial person to ask about how well they perform.. They've been well received so far :) http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/cooling-stems-for-splinter-stempod-tubo-lil-bud-mil.34133/page-5

Always like to leave some eye candy :D
dude, stop lol. that mouthpiece looks beautiful! and the nub is definitely on the list along with the spiked bent stem too. pretty sure i've made my mind up now lol. i wasn't sure if the nub was large enough to take a drop of water, but if its cool enough to take big a 220*c draw, im sold :D
and the red screen looks dope! wish i could figure out how to change my screen colour lol.

My TetraDual is here (insanely quick shipping with standard untracked to Cali) and it is glorious. Will post more at a later date :brow:

Edit to add some (poor quality) photos for now:

Need better lighting (and camera) to capture this brilliant Padauk, got some great stems too. But this shows it with my OG Tubo (one of the very first that was then rebuilt for me) in single batt config, its so cool how the Dual can do both!

See? Such stem! Mini j hook is also real nice, but nub broke unfortunately (it is super nice though too!) And spoiler from first bowl, this works well!

Thanks, me too! I asked @funkyjunky for something with circles instead of the usual lines and am thrilled with what he did. Nice to see chamber through one of the bigger holes, yet still protected and comfortable to hold. The details on this is incredible, for one thing the heater actually sits just above the resting surface when using dual batteries, so those sit on the table with the air intake open. Like this you can hit it when it is standing up right on a flat table. Hard to see here, but you can slightly:

Dual battery set up is very cool, love all the rich grain and red shades of the African Padauk, so its nice to have even more of it to admire. Ofcourse this custom spiky bent stem is great, as are the regular bent stems, but I also have to call out the mini J hook as another fantastic stem option! Sherlock pipe style for your bowl with a Tubo on top, its small and has a great little folded mouthpiece. This will be very nice to use with a wide variety of other vapes too.

FJ also set my text color to a light red pink that matches well with the red padauk. The custom spiky bent stem also matches with its orange red purple spikes and dots (that are also useful to help hold it), while the classic amber glass color goes great with the padauk too. Springing for the full custom exotic wood Tetra Dual already feels well worth it even though I had an OG Tubo in painted poplar... These vapes are such a very nice device I had to get em twice!

@Shit Snacks thats gorgeous!! and those coloured curved stems look amazing too! the j hook looks like a nice piece of kit as well. congrats on grabing such a lovely piece! @funkyjunky smashes it again!

Thanks! The color curved stems are actually personal customs from MistVape for my RBT vapes, but they match perfectly for my Tubos don't they? So many great stems available!

in case anyone is interested, the Arizer Air/ V-Tower basket screens fit perfectly and it's £9ish for 10 and 150 15mm screens for £3.95. got the basket screens same day on amazon and the 15mm screens arrived today after ordering yesterday. just waiting on some 100% iso to make 1 year+ reclaim concentrate :D

@Shit Snacks do you find yourself stir the bowl sometimes? or it is not needed at all?

Sometimes, as I flavor chase, so I like to flip the bowl contents (so the part of the loads that was further from the heater switches places with the part of the load that was closer to the heater, when loading the basket screen) to finish. However this is not so necessary with proper temp control like there is here, and even more so it seems like the new Tetra heater is allowing for an even more even extraction without stirring than I experienced with my old Tubo... So I would say with the new tubo tetra there is no need to stir for sure, when loading the basket that is (larger loads can be trickier in general, overall less efficient in my experience)

High-power battery question here!

I'm trying squeeze as much performance (phat clouds) as possible out of my Tubo.

Choice 1: Samsung 20s
https://m.facebook.com/batterymooch/posts/2092909657665276

Choice 2: Sony VTC 5a
https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/t...-test-results-a-fantastic-25a-battery.746719/

Will there be a noticeable boost in power / performance if I go for the 30a Samsung 20s over the 25a Sony? If the difference is negligible then i'll go for the higher capacity Sony, but I am trying to get the best performance I can out of my Tubo.

Thanks all

@SAL-E I'm no expert but search the forum, I had the sony vtc 5a's and they worked well for my tubo. Don't think theres a whole lot of difference between the ones recommended by FJ.

Just received mine yesterday, and it's amazing! Nice upgrade over the original Tubo Evic. It's too bad it's discontinued, as this is an awesome device. Better performance than most of my other vapes, except the Flowerpot and Sticky Brick Maxx. Since those are both desktops, that's very impressive, especially since it comes close! I'm happy to have such a powerful, versatile, and beautiful portable device.

whats everyone's preferred packing technique? joint or basket? loose pack or firm?
i don't mind either and i think they both serve a different purpose, but i think my draw speed lets me down sometimes with a joint pack. i'm curious as to other peoples methods :D

I always use two screens (even if my stem has a glass screen) - one screen in the stem, I pack that loosely but almost full, then secure it with a basket screen. Then I'll vape it around 390-420F. I haven't tried a whole lot else, but this works great for me.

I mostly straw/inhale pack rimmed basket screens. Herb at the end of the stem, exposed to the heater. I vape at 205c. Works great and seems very efficient for me.
