Those are sexy AF....

Reversable quartz dish??? What is that? pics please!

edited rant: Ill leave it at buyer beware.

When I bought my first Liger V2 I ordered the Quartz dish which had a deeper side for dabs and the other was advertised for keif. The 'keif' side was about half the depth. I stashed it away for a rainy day back up but I'll try to find it and snap a pic.

hey, can you please show how some of the caps you make for the 30mm liger look like?

i scrolled thru your instagram for a bit, couldn't find em
Well the one style I do is almost identical to weird deers even though I had never heard of him or seen his caps until last night. The other style however I really believe will be a winner but is as of yet untested.

I know this is for the V3's but I figure I'd share my Ligers. I own 3 Liger V2's 2 blue w/ updated Quartz dishes (still have original reverseable Quartz dish) and a gold color w/ SIC dish. Also 3 different types of Hurricane caps. As like many of you I had to wait in order to get my items (4 weeks was the longest wait period). Apart from that function is stellar and Josh always hooked me up for waiting patiently (gave me a nice Quartz dish for free). I get the fustration people are having with communication breaks and wait times but you all know he's not doing this on purpose. Josh is a perfectionist and if it doesn't meet his specs he'll have them re-machine everything. Here's a couple of pics of my Ligers & H caps...

First H cap is still my fav...
Yeah Buddy!! I'm still rocking with my V2 20 mm with SiC. Love it so much I may order an Obsidian insert just to have a back up.

I really want to pick up a liger banger but am concerned that a new version might pop up around the corner. Also concerned about all the customer service issues I have been reading of lately. Also, has anyone had any experience with Augusthaus enail controllers? I like the app and the coil that is made especially for the ligers but haven't read many reviews so any info. would be very helpful. I really like to overthink my setup but I just want to try and get a good setup that should last me awhile. I would rather have quality over quantity so i don't mind spending the cash. I just don't want a situation like being a new phone and as soon as you buy it, they begin advertising the new version. Thanks for the help.

so I've had my liger a couple weeks now. with my enail on quartz i like it set at 570. but when i got the liger I found I had to crank it up to about 650 to get close to similar results and even those were still a lil too whispy for my liking.

decided to read back a bit as i remembered something about coil mods (pg 47 had the most info, but 17 was also good.)

the result? im at 580 atm, and I think i may dial it down a little lower yet! my coil is still loose, but it extends the length of the drum now. Good ole FC to the rescue! ;)

(This assumes a 20mm setup)

You might try some aluminum foil or copper tape wrapped around the bucket core, 1 or 2 wraps should get it so you can screw it on to the coil pretty snug and have better transfer with lower temps. Both materials have better heat transfer than any other material used in the setup and certainly better than empty air. I know ti is finicky when it comes to touching other metals but Ive used it on my original 20mm Liger pretty much since I've gotten it and there doesn't look like there is any issues.

hey thanks for the tip!

Is this a mod that you have done to your own? I had not heard of that mod before. is one (copper or aluminium) better than the other? I have one in stock ;) probably wise to torch it before using it, I would think though?

Yep, for maybe 10 months or so now, I never had the balls to take pliers to my coils but I did have some metal tape. Copper has much better thermal transfer then aluminum but I wound up using aluminum because my copper tape had adhesive on the back and was too lazy to take it off. I may swap it at some point but the aluminum worked great and already has killer heat transfer. I didn't torch mine but I did run the setup at 850 for about an hour, Im not too worried as its pretty separated from the air path and intake areas.

Full Melt Hash 73u on a sapphire insert in the 30mm Liger is fantastic! Easy to clean and great flavor!

The big scoop dabber that came with my Hurricane Master set is perfect for full melt hash. So glad i got the master set as this scoop tip and the skeleton handle are awesome!

Havent tried the Storm cap. Having both Hurricane and Tsunami, No questions that Hurricane would be it!

Tsunami is a great cap but for the same price, i would go with Hurricane. I only bought the Tsunami cap because it was $20 at the time but now, i see that both caps are discounted to $20.

Broke down and ordered an Obsidian insert for my v2 20 mm Liger. It says there are 181 in stock but it also says stuff about a couple of weeks as everything is made to order. Somehow I don't see inserts being manf in any way but as a batch, but we will see. I'm not in any rush as my SiC insert is still going strong.

Cheers

If you had to have one carb cap that is currently available from CCA what would it be?
I have the storm cell and hurricane and I prefer the hurricane by a small margin as spinning it does seem to move the oil around and I seem to get less pooling.

Rocking a 30mm Double Standard with a 25mm eternal insert. Heat both those up with a torch and then drop in my new 20mm obsidian insert and put bubble cap right on top of that. Flavor upgrade thru the roof. Couldn't even believe how tasty this setup is. It's a little excessive with the two inserts but I need to get a 25mm banger so the obsidian can just drop into that but all I have is the 30mm double standard banger

Hands down Tsunami, its their best for the 30mm, works good for the 20mm AND is designed to work with the Halos also, plus no getting stuck in your nail like the Hurricane (even though constantly moving the cap and not letting it just sit there keeps the Hurricane from getting stuck too but people seem to keep doing it over and over)

Also as an aside, it kills me when people are talking about Liger setups and trying to save $10 here or there by making, IMO, less then ideal choices like going with a 16mm setup or justifying being a cheapskate "just to get me by" or "I don't really need a carb cap" like wtf.....you're buying a TIPPITY TOP END nail....spend the extra couple bucks and do the whole thing right, you will be sooooooooo much happier with your investment in the long run.

My TIPPETY TOP END nail just got here with the Storm Cell and SiC quartz and sapphire trays. 20mm Liger the. Experimenting b3gins nyao

Edit:
Bought a great 2nd hand 20mm blue set up with storm carb, quartz/SiC/sapphire inserts from @alittledabwilldoya'.

First thoughts: I have to go buy a gift for my cousins adorable 1 year old for their birthday. So, I grabbed some delicious pink Death Bubba shatter, turned my coil up to 680 after an initial set up and got 1 milky monster, followed by 3 good sized hits. I am now supremely medicated.

The SiC dish is totally neutral. I am very excited to try sapphire next when I get home. The heat retention and all of that was phenomenal, as my most recent experience with a 20mm quartz banger had been less than perfect and though effective the taste on the Auber nail is a wee wanting. You can imagine my surprise of getting Ti nail monster hits with money taztiness.

I really like the adjustable nature of the carb cap and will def be trying other caps.

Pricey but worth it, especially if you get a good 2md hand set up. That can save you hundreds and get you started on what seems to be a crazy journey.

Are any of your guys still using the original storm stem and hurricane with your liger v3? Are they completely junk to those of you who have upgraded to their latest design?
