Did someone say something about a block of wood?

One of the improvements made based on the learning from the Beta builds was to plane all surfaces of the Zion. This ensures a true and smooth surface so that all pieces of the Zion fit together seamlessly.

Just a few key points... International shipping in not available for the Zion but is available for the first 50 manual units.

When requesting any changes to your order please provide your name, address and Paypal order email. If you would like to add batteries, chargers, stems or screens to your order please just place a other order and select 0 for shipping cost and note your other order detail in he notes.

Our apologies if our responses are slow as we are focused on meeting our promise dates. Thanks for your patients during this critical time.

Will the Zion family have the CE label?
Asking coz there seems to be potential probs when not... See the poor guy from the EU whose GH is stuck at customs - and most likely gonna be destroyed due to missing CE label.
Bad news for backers/ customers from germany.
Today I was at the customs office to get my grasshopper that has been shipped 2 weeks ago. They told me that it can't be importet to germany because of a missing CE-certification and user manual in german.
I could cry.

As for a manual I could offer translation to german, if needed!

Hopefully we won't have these issues..:ugh: But as this problem is identified, there's still time to deal with it, huh?:sherlock:

BTW: this is not a GER exclusive... (potentially) applies to all EU contries.

I will jump in and offer my translating skills for Dutch speaking people, if need Spanish and French I could do too!

My main reason for holding off for now was exactly this... What would customs say....

Keep it coming hihi looking better every time I check in here to see what is going on...

Yes RBT is aware of all these issues (CE/WEEE/REACH/RoHS), I nagged him enough with this already. My alpha Zion made it to the EU because it was a test unit and not a commercial product.

The GH's that get inspected will all get blocked, and the lucky few that are not will pass through (it's often down to the choice of selected transporter, most express ones are rats and have vested interests in the customs inspection as they add a margin to the costs and it goes in their pockets)

This is why there is no EU shipping for the finished products (Zion) yet, but you may still get a development/beta one (single or TOD)

Thanks, man.
Good to hear that - wouldn't have fit the picture either, if RBT & Co. haven't thought about it yet... These guys have a master plan and all my confidence :tup:

@KeroZen : so in other words beta units are likely to pass through customs?

OK Beta team, here's a new one for you to try if you haven't thought of it yet, especially those who run the screen with the open end towards the heater.

When your Zion stem screen gets really gacked up on the sides due to use/stirring etc., take it out, put it back in sideways and hit it in the upper range.

Def do this sitting down the first time, in case you get the wobs.

It makes you wonder how many of the thousands of Chinese vaporizers being sold in the EU actually meet all the CE/WEEE/REACH/RoHS criterias.

Don't be fooled by CE for "China Export" ;)

In all fairness to the beta test process, I finally have a negative (minor) to report. I have put Loki in at least 5 different peoples hands. All have had great experiences with the ease of use and organic feel of the Zion. All were impressed with the vapor production. But the one negative was my mother. She complained that anyone with long fingernails may have trouble with the recessed button. Maybe a bevel around the button to take away that angle that prevents mom's finger from easily pressing the button.

@phattpiggie & @vape-noob et al.: Well, I've been lent a Vapolution 2.0 (long story, will elaborate on that later on) it has instructions in english only and no CE or other markings... Apparently it did take a while to clear customs, but that's about it; they taxed the customary 21% and it's all good...

I would love to, and have been trying to find a way to video it in action, but haven't figured out how yet. Maybe when I have someone over who can hit it while I shoot it, but most who come by don't buzz. Eventually I'll get it done... :)

Heh heh. I will, however, add this. A little overkill, but this should do some great cooling without a water piece.

Zion...the first MC (Mom Certified) vape. Diehard's mom is a tough customer! They do sell little clear round rubber bumpers. I put one on my Persei, which also has a semi-recessed button. But the Zion's button looks pretty big compared...

What does this mean, please? I haven't read through all the pages. I pulled the trigger on the $169 Zion with lifetime warranty, plus batteries and stem. It went through without problems, bought and payed for. I received only Paypal confirmation. There was no indication that international orders were not allowed.

Now it says "US only" on the RBT website. I live in Norway, which is not EU, but EEA. If it can't be delivered, can I cancel the purchase?

Ofcourse if it can't be delivered you will be refunded until it can be I'm sure. I think the goal is to get people who already ordered taken care of somehow, but not taking any more international orders for the time being bc of all the potential trickiness involved.

Exactly. The 169$ lifetime warranty Zions are being shipped international. Just be aware that the int. shipping costs about 35$ extra - back then when you chose your country int. shipping costs weren't added as they hadn't been clear before. So there was 0$ for all destinations except the U.S. (12$).
I'd suggest you drop RBT a short note via feedback form on their website to sort it out directly. Otherwise they're most likely gonna contact your before shipping anyways - to finalize the order, if you need extra batts and stems etc.

@Bravesst: you can pull it, no regrets. It's gonna get its place next to your beloved airs - where the enano used to be... Can easily replace it - cordless :rockon:
Can it really hit like a nano? Damn, so tempted. I have to admit, if there wasn't a wait time, I'd probably do it. I'm in love with the nano, but cordless, holy shit!!! Do the AA batts work on this bad boy, because I have like 12.

Gotta get busy and make some $$$, this is supposed to be my "lay low and build up cash-stash" period. I actually sold an old fave quality vape (wasn't being used at all, I hate seeing a good piece just sit there)... Damn you VAS
