Damn monkey...nice vid! How much weed did you use in that bowl? You got so many thick hits! And how much for the inline ice-catcher?

NS - I sent you an email, we'll get you a replacement

SS - I filled the bowl about half full and used about 3/5 temp to do some low temp vaping. The vapor showed very well in that video but also wanted to illustrate that low temp vaping can also be very enjoyable!

Damn Spiral!
They sure know how put on a show in Alaska.
I could totally see that coming on TV as like a real commercial, and people being mesmerized (at least anyone who has any interest in pot).
Hint: Mark, don't release this video or anything like it unless you care to go big time.

nice spiral...vapor porn! Was that all from one bowl? That second hit was what we're all after!

Thanks guys...

Yep, that was from one regular sized bowl of mids. :brow: It was basically cashed after that, but I could've probably gotten another vrip or two if I tried, no doubt. No scorchage either.

This vape is officially my favorite
, taking over from the PD, although I still love that bastard! Although I use the PD 10 times as much, the occasions when I get the VHW going are, by far, the most enjoyable (and effective  ). I use it probably once every day, or every other.

I'd love to see the addition of a smaller bowl piece to really bring me back to the times of good ol' bong snaps.... one monster hit, cashed, no mess, no fuss. Thoughts?

and SM55, I just had fun making it... always do. ;)

Got some buds coming over with a fat sack... time to vrip in the blizzard. :peace:

I've got a question for anyone who's tried the SSV and the VHW (trying to avoid another vs thread).
How do they compare? Especially concerning the vapor:air ratio.
So far I've seen it said that the hits are comparable but the VHW has the advantage in taste and producing an even cook. Also, you'll most likely be using a water tool of some kind and so there'll be no need for additional water/ice chambers.
So beside the obvious difference in how you use each of them, (whip vs wand/piece) are there any
(dis)advantages that one has over the other? Or maybe just something you personally prefer?

I, too, hope this does not turn into a SSV vs. VHW thread (and am, therefore, focusing my comments/comparisons--good and bad--on the VHW whenever possible). Maybe you could also ask about this possibly complex and partially-opinion-driven question in the fucker chat sometime when those who have used both go there (and they do!).

I, having used both, wanted to reply and think that they are very different in very many ways, but both perform 'well enough' (IMO).

If you are looking for the highest quality vapor (and prefer mainly-bong-with-the-possibility-of-whip over mainly-whip-with-the-possibility-of-bong), then the VHW is probably for you (IMO). The big drawbacks of the VHW over the other option (IMO) include more glass to break/expense to repair on the VHW if not used properly, less time on the market/testing, and can initially be a little more difficult to figure out how to use comfortably.

However, (IME) the VHW leaves the user with much more control over the variables important to vaporization and can provide extremely clean and thick vapor.

Hope this helps ;)

Side note: Thread name change??? (pre-release?...and isn't the beta/bro/pre-sale discount over???)

EDIT: STONEMONKEY55 ROCKS ! ! !

I'd love to answer your question!!! I own a SSV and a VHW and would have to say the bong rips from the VHW wand are far far thicker and tastier. It also doesn't overcook the herb, which makes it worry free (for newbie friends) when trying to get those thick vapors at the higher temps. The SSV was nice but the wand is on a whole other level I thought it would compare but it really doesn't (even with a bong). Tastewise and potency (effectivness) the VHW is far superior even though there is room for improvment.

Prog, NoSmoke ? Thanks for fielding those questions, I think those are pretty much spot on

Costanza ? Is your unit and dialed in and functioning properly? Not sure if yours was one that we had pre-adjusted or if you had to adjust your own.

Vtac ? Can we change the title of the thread to ?Vriptech Heat Wand ? Get Vaked!?

SA - That is awesome, even though I saw it last night, didn't get to see it as clearly as today. The Stemless Giraffe lives!

Lo Boob Oscillator
Spiral, as per usual, you kick total ass my friend.

I haven't really been able to use my VripTech set up much because my silicone got mutilated and I simply can't make a good seal with the VHW to VCB. It works okay, but it is finicky and I have to use too much pressure without the benefit of the silicone sleeve, and I know the set up can work much, much better...so I had just unplugged the wand for the time being, hoping for more luck once I get my new silicone sleeve.

Your last post here totally inspired me, Meester Architect. I had been thinking it could be done pretty easily (using the VHW with a regular bowl of some sort), but I was still content to just vapor bong with my SSV and VWT until I recieved my new silicone...so I hadn't really felt the need to mess with this yet.

Your picture was the inspiration I needed man! So I pulled the VHW out again and did the whole heat up pre-ritual, then I simply mated the wand to my favorite dry hand pipe and inhaled...vapor perfection! I am so impressed--the taste is awesome, vapor to air ratio couldn't be much higher (they VHW and my pipe's bowl don't mate PERFECTLY, but it's only off by like a hair), and it's damn smooth--especially considering the short air path and the lack of filtration...soooo ripped after these tokes! I love it!! :goat:

Truthfully I was pretty much only holding on to this pipe out of sentimental value, and for the occasional hash smoking session. So damn happy to have a use for it again! An amazing use at that. I was happy using the SSV and my VWT to vapor bong, but after trying this I'll definitely be using the VHW/spoon pipe combo until my new silicone arrives...so tasty. The fact that the heaters mass is much closer to the herb in this set up definitely makes up for the lack of a perfect seal...I've had to turn the VHW down a little bit using it with my spoon!

Can't wait to try the whole VHW-->VCB-->VWT set up again, and like I say silicone and o-rings are on the way...but for right now this pipe trick rules! SA, you are one dope hominid.

:peace:

Edit: Oh yes, and I'm so ripped I forgot about this part. My only complaint is that trying to stir a bowl in a spoon pipe is pretty hard--especially because I happen to have a smaller Red Eye Glass spoon, so it's got a bit of a shallow bowl. Gives me a good reason to go get some glass jacks again :ko: I'll definitely be hitting this pipe again for a while =) Enjoy the vapors, vapers.

We got some exciting news to share, here is a quote from Jason King, the author and photographer of the Cannabible series who has traveled the world to taste the many fine strains of cannabis, this is what he had to say about out beloved VHW!

Jason King author of the Cannabible says, "Easily the best vaporizer on the market. The flavor and effects cannot be matched by any other system out there. HIGHLY recommended!"
