I've heard so many good things about it that I decided to pick up the Hydrabomb while it was available and on sale. I love my turbine but I'm curious to see how using a different tube impacts the experience! Plus I figure it can't hurt to have some backup glass in the event that I drop a tube (god forbid D: )

Quick question as well for anyone who might know: how much water do you add to the Hydrabomb? Enough to completely submerge the "crystal grenade" structure but not the center column, right? (I actually have no idea, that's just my best guess, also sorry for my lack of proper terminology LOL.)

Happy to report that my new HT has already been picked up by FedEx as well! :lol:

Yes just enough to cover the "grenade."

I'm sure you will love it, if not, its a hot item and will sell here easily; but I'm sure you gonna really like it. It works with tons of other vapes...

FWIW I have all the current lineup of VXL tubes (Bomb, Turbine and Honeycomb). I like them all for different reasons but overall the bomb is my favorite. The damn thing just purr's like no other!

Just keep the water below the center tube that allows the water to leak into the bottom chamber

Pics please! The 'Cap isn't my favorite (I got the final release,) but it is fantastic for that first hit. The flavor is great! A few hits later when the flavor is gone I usually switch to one that diffuses a bit.

:rofl:such a classic situation, blow back has happened twice, a new girl, but also one friend who should know how to use it, don't even know how it was so quick, thankfully only end up with water on their knees not the Evo!

This is why practice dry run hits are a good idea for newbies or people you dont trust lol

I really wish I didn't see that email yesterday. I managed to talk myself out of the Thanksgiving sale but my efforts failed this time around. I just pulled the trigger on the Evo with the Hydrabomb so here's to anxiously waiting till the 18th for it to ship :uhoh:

@Shit Snacks after you mentioned the Evo in both the ESV and Zion threads my interest got piqued but I told myself I certainly didn't need it with the Zion and GH coming eventually. Yet here we are ughhhh, for my wallet's sake I may need to stopping hanging around you:lol:

So I ordered a Hydrabomb this past week and just received it. It seems to be defective, but I guess I can't say for sure since I haven't heard back from VapexHale yet. It almost seems like a cheap Chinese knockoff of a Hydrabomb. The proportions are way out of wack and you can't really use it without getting water on your mouth. Here's a few pictures of the new tube(left) compared with the Turbine that I bought about a month ago.

It looks like the joint where the MP tube meets the 'can' is too low and looks like a downward angle. Definitely can cause water to go up the MP. Mine is not like that and It functions perfectly.

Edit: after reading @KimDracula's post, I agree that can is too small/low. Looks like the bottom glass portion is too big. Mine has the gold emblem and has the MP flare like your turbine. The smaller flared MP on your bomb looks like my swagger side tree(which I got from the stickstones hydratube list)

That HydraBomb is definitely not right. It's supposed to have the big, tall can like the HydraHoneycomb I've got. It should be noticeably taller than the Turbine (or maybe not; that one in the pic looks about the size of mine, but it should be equal to that). I have one coming next week. If it looks like that it's going right back. That one is warped.

Yeah I've had a Hydrabomb before that sadly broke and it was nothing like this one. It should be the same size as my turbine, and the perc and joint are both crooked. Hopefully this is unique to mine and not the entire new batch of Hydrabombs.

Considering I just ordered this thing with the Hydrabomb I will be highly disappointed if this is the quality of the new batch of hydratubes. Definitely let us know how they respond, because they can keep the whole thing and refund me if this is what they're shipping out now.

The biggest allure of this vape to me is getting a high quality piece of glass that I'll be able to use with my other vapes as well. I really hope this is just an honest mistake and truly a defect!

Feeling a bit nervous myself now :c. I'm super inexperienced when it comes to glass so it's hard for me to tell what's acceptable and what's not. My Hydrabomb was supposed to arrive today and FedEx has its status as out for delivery, but it's nearly 6:30 PM where I am and I haven't heard from the FedEx delivery person yet.

Now I'm anxious D: Guess I'll do what @Rizzalso did and post some pics when it arrives so you guys can give me your informed opinions! So sorry to hear about your tube!

The reason I thought the Turbine was shorter was because of the pic they have of it on the VXL site. It's of the same proportions as this new 'Bomb while the pics of the other two are clearly the better old ones.

Check out the tubes in the pic on the FB page (also used on Twitter). That's how they used to look (and how the 'Honeycomb and the 'Bomb still look on the VXL site, btw).

VaporNation has a better photo. I ordered from them a while back and they found they were out of stock so I had to order from VXL. What's kinda funny is that the reason I didn't get the 'Bomb originally was because I couldn't really tell what it looked like in the old pics they used to have up on the VXL site.

This might explain the drop in the HT pricing...I hope not though. The quality on my bomb is what I would deem considerably higher that that of my mates turbine that I've seen in the flesh (his was purchased more recently). I assumed it was due to function on the turbine and nothing else, I'm questioning this now

I'm questioning whether to buy another, was going to pick up a honeycomb for xmas

That would be an unacceptable answer, IMO, since they are on sale and were not long ago on sale for the same price at the higher quality. If these are the new designs that we're supposed to accept, then shouldn't they be called something different, especially considering the images of the tubes on the site (save the Turbine) are the same? It's not like this is a small difference because it is handmade. These specs are totally different.
