Not mine, no. The only dogs I own run at 12v and like to fog up the room.

I just did a google image search and selected that pic. I can tell you that their names are Sparky and Sparkly, though.

Hey Gandolf,

You NEED a VVPS. I think every dog owner can benefit. You can really dial it in. (I like lower temp than the standard PSU produced on the power grid I am on.)

This is the best deal I could find on a VVPS that works perfectly. If you are in the states, it is $40 shipped.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/160716608806?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

You will need a power cable. Dave makes real nice ones, otherwise you need to buy a 2.1mm/5.5mm power "pigtail" and some standard banana clips to make your own. I found it really tough to find any power cords with the bare wires longer than 3 feet. Dave is your best bet on a cable. (Another option is to just cut the cord off of an old DC power supply and attach banana clips.)

You do not need banana plugs with that Power Supply. The red and black knobs will unscrew and you can just strip the ends of the wires, wrap around the lugs and re-tighten the two plastic knobs. That was the first VV PS I bought and is still running strong 24/7 in the shop. It also runs nice and cool. It is bigger(and has the flames)than the Spartans we sell but is a very good power supply. Also easy to use any old cord with the right 2.1 mm plug for the Zap and nothing on the other end. White stripe wire hooked to positive but polarity does not really matter.

He is a true underdog that just needed the chance for the real dog inside to come out.
Very cheeky & mischievious, a gorgeous, sweet dog that loves people and especially cuddles, but will eat any motherfucker he doesnt know, quickstix.

No such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners. I am so glad I got the opportunity to save him, he is a gem.

Nice one Dorkus  Rotties are my fav dogs of all times.

I had quit some catching up to do since my last visit, nice to see this thread has came back to life during my absence. Cool to see so many newcomers as well btw, hope y'all enjoy your Dogs!

Just from the top of my head; I loved all the woodporn Dave, you better save me some of that beautiful Blue Mahoe, haha. Oh, and great vid SM

Ooh, Let me get in on the puppy posting action :dog:

First up we have Piper, German Shepherd

She's an awfully smart one.
She's figured out how to open our back gate, so we need to keep it propped shut with a cinder block, and she can open the back sliding door if it isn't perfectly shut.
My mum thinks she's a cold dog, but she's awesome (and affectionate), she just doesn't seem to respect my mum

And Aries, Rottie

She's just a big pile of "hug me" :)
If you're not patting her, she's strategically positioning herself so that you will have to pat her... It's actually quite funny watching her when there are other people around. She has a pattern
  1. Run to me, get pats
  2. Run to guest, get pats
  3. Try to stand exactly in the middle of the 2 of us, get double pats. :)
She runs up and shoulder charges Piper if I'm only giving Piper a pat

Oh, and I love the fact that she has her tail :D
I got her before docking was banned here, but I was against the idea from the start. Dogs are such beautiful animals, don't mess with it.

@ Stu - ah ok, well I'll give you partial credit for posting the pics anyways.. ;)

@ Rick - thanks for the suggestion Rick. Even though I used to sell those ones and still have one here on my bench I always forget about using the screw-down banana plugs in that way.

@ Dorkus - ahhh nice pups there dude, we get a lot of Rotties around here that get put down because of aggression they learned from their bad humans, always such a sad waste!

@ OTA - I'll see what I can do about saving you a bit of Mahoe lol, if you're not careful you'll end up with more Dogs that you know what to do with.

@ Fred - quite the cute couple of hounds you've got there man, I can imagine them competing for pat downs lol. One of my best dogs ever was a rottie rescue that also had an undocked tail which was awesome because I never agreed with docking either.

Not a whole lot of exciting stuff to report right now Dogs, I'm just working on getting a few projects finished and out of the shop. I will grab a few pics this weekend though so I can post a shop update since it's been a while. :peace:

just got back after a week with my good friends in Maine as a graduation vacation trip. loads of fun with the guys in our cottage that we rented out. definitely some good memories but feels nice to be home. you best believe that one of the first things i did when i got home was to plug in my pup and get it warmed up, after a week of combustion i kinda feel gross :p its almost warmed up now and it'll be nice to be reunited with my dog :D

Yay, nice pack you got there Fred

I've been thinking about getting a dog myself, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be fair to a 4 legged friend as long as I still have this urge to get on my bike and disappear for a few weeks ever so often. One day perhaps, when I'm old enough to ride a bike with a sidecar.

Haha, I don't know what it is Dave, but even if I just hear the words Blue Mahoe I'm already starting to get greedy these days. Perhaps I should try to restrain myself a bit though, since it seems I already have 3 other logs on their way to me atm..

If you happen to run in to a really nice white piece of the BM I probably wouldn't be able to resist though..

I dropped the BM twig yesterday btw, it landed right on the sharp edge of the table and it's got a tiny little dent in it. I don't know what's wrong with me lately, I also dropped my second diffused downstem from Ehle within a 3 week timespan yesterday :(

What kind of grid of sandpaper would be best to make the dent disappear again?

I'll keep my eyes open for a white piece of BM there OTA.. ;-)

So what other Logs do you have on the way?

For trying to sand out a little dent you'll probably want to use 240 grit for trying to remove it then 320, 400 and 600 grits to bring the finish back to the same state as the rest of the piece. If the dent is too deep you very well might not be able to sand it out so it kind of depends on that.

Thanks for the sanding tips Dave. The dent isn't that deep, it's about the size of a short and thin eyelash or nose-hair

But I think I'm gonna leave it there for now to remind me of my dumbness. Perhaps it will prevent other damages that way, lol.

Oh, just a HI, and beta-units of the Wychwood and Hot Pod :brow:

It's gonna be a busy summer testing them all :D I wonder how many more new logs will pop up this year, haha

I got your email btw, just haven't had time to respond yet

weird thing tough, can't get ANY vapor trough it, I didn't expect big clouds yet(still waiting on my vvps, so with the higher drawspeed trpugh the bong I expected some thin vapor), but I didn't expect nothing at all.
tried with the silicone stem directly in the downstem and in the bowl, and tried hash and kief. especually from the kief I expected some vapor since without bong it gives nice clouds

edit: just got some waterfiltered vapor, with the glass stem

edit2: turns out my bad hackjob at the silicone stems was to blame, they didn't make a good seal(the glass one did), now I fixed that and I can get waterfiltered vapor with all 3 stems.

i definitely get bigger hits through my bong but since its not as clean as i would like there is not as much taste, but the clouds are bigger and smooother. for me it was pretty tough to get the silicone stem into a 14mm downstem piece all the way in also but once i was able to do that then it started to rip as well.

edit: nice bong is that one of the ehle's?

yes, it's indeed an ehle 250 ml, with an ehle diffused downstem. vvps is on the way and will be here probably in the next few days, so then I can get some bigger clouds too, but now I can already get vapor too just not big clouds yet(I'm in europe so my stockadaptor runs lower)

Good glad even though you are on a Euro adapter with no VVPS you still could get some visible vapor when you fixed you connection. Once you get that VVPS you will really be rocking.

djonkoman, you should put up a video of your UD with your EHLE 250ml once your VVPS comes in. i've been curious to see how a UD would perform with a tube like that if i don't decide to buy the Leviathan FC bubbler. it looks like a great piece

Speaking of bigger clouds... really love the consistency of lung-busting rips any time of the day with the VVPS.

Here's a 13.4V milk with some nice AK-47

Glad you got it to work eventually Djonko, you got one with the sandblasted logo too it seems? Congrats anyways, I hope you'll like it just as much as I do.

I have some mixed results with the DIY tapered-cut stems myself, somehow the first one I ever made still makes the best connection. I also use a silicon stem that's mated with a 14mm GonG waterpipe adapter and it's less troublesome at first oiw easier to produce good clouds with, but for some reason I have a hard time milking the last bit of vapor out of the bowl with that one. It may be the thinner stream of air that's causing it due to the narrow air path of the adapter. I'll still have to try it with a longer piece of silicon to see if it makes a difference, right now the thin end of the adapter runs right up to the screen. I also use the glass stem that came with the UD with my Ehle, it performs somewhere between the tapered-cut silicon stem and the stem with the adapter. It's a bit more clumsy to use than the other two due to the looser fit of the thinner silicon as well as the loose fit of the glass in a 14mm GonG connection, but I still kinda like it and I'm starting to use that one more and more now.

What's in those two little bags in your photo?

the 2 little bags are seeds that I had ordered that arrived at the same moment as the bong(different company tough).
just had a nice wake and bake, scraped the remains from last night out the grinder(silver haze), so proportionally a lot of kief. filled the glass stem with that and, after taking 1 first regular puff, I took 2 bonghits. with the glass stem+kiefy weed it makes a nice bonghit, not as whitewalled as SD's vid ofcourse, but still nice fogged up.
the vvps is sheduled to arrive today or tomorrow, since it's not here yet it will probably be tomorrow. but I ordered a plug for connecting it to the UD seperatly, so if that doesn't arrive tomorrow too I still have to wait on that. but in a few days I will certanly be able to use it.
will see if I can get a vid up then, have to figure out if I can make videos with the webcam on this laptop, I think that wuld be easiest. altough that webcam usually doesn't show vapor, so maybe I should figure out a kind of stand for a camera at the right height/angle

what I like about the glass stem paired with the bong is that it's very easy to pull it out to clear.

Oh cool, do you plan on using those this summer?

I have gotten some as well, but I still haven't planted them yet because of the lousy weather we're getting. It's gonna be my first time using seeds, I've always used clones before.

I did like using my glass UD stem, but I didn't like the looseness and the thin silicon bowls so I started playing around for a bit. I now have a new favorite UD stem :D

minip1010857.jpg

The seal with a 14,4mm GonG connection is perfect and it sits in the downstem firm enough to use it without holding the UD itself while hitting it because not only the thinner silicon holds it in place, but the end of the glass stem also slides in the downstem just far enough to sort of grip there at that point too.
