Hmmm interesting. Poor guy. I wish he would have at least lived to see 2012 so he could really see if his novelty theory held any ground. I personally don't believe it but it was interesting nonetheless. I love his talk about DMT/Psilocybin experiences and the "logos" and what not. Fascinating stuff.

Anyway yeah I looked at "The Benefits of Marijuana" after you mentioned it in your earlier post. I may have to pick that up. "Be Here Now" looks good too. So much to read! I swear the internet destroys my reading time.

Right now I'm reading The God Delusion and Darklore Volume 1. The God Delusion is great. People really don't have the right perception of what atheists really are. Darklore Volume 1 is good too. It's an anthology of different essays discussing weird paranormal stuff but it isn't a pile of quackery.

    "The God Delusion" sounds interesting.
"The Occult" by Colin Wilson is a great read as well..

"Ram Dass" was originally "Richard Alpert" a Harvard psychology professor that worked with Tim Leary with the early LSD experiments. They were both fired, then Alpert traveled to India on a spiritual quest. (remember this was late sixties - this stuff was new and revolutionary then...sort of "pre Oprah")
Point being, "Be Here Now" is the odyssey of Richard Alpert from psychedelics to a yoga philosophy of being. At the time it was a pretty important book among the drug "subculture."

I love settling down with a good NOVA or Frontline, but you have to be careful which Frontline is on or you'll just end up getting all pissed off at the administration / corporation / world ;)

Psilocybin mushrooms go well with vaporizing. I second The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins too!

I remember in the old days coming down from an LSD trip, we used to smoke joints and start tripping again but in a new direction - a new peak but in a different softer dimension.
Wonder how different vaping is in that regard...

Be very careful when vaporizing any flavored teas or herbs. I work for a loose leaf tea company who produces alot of these flavored teas you speak of & they use chemical liquid flavorings in order to add the taste aspect to normal tea. My hunch is that vaporizing these chemicals would be less than desirable.

I just opened this thread for the first time, and there has got to be something to this tea thing. I have not had my vape very long, but since owning it, I started making tea again after years of not drinking it. WTF?

I like tea because it helps with bad breath vs. other things you can drink. Especially if your going to partake in MJ.

Smoking herb can give you horrendous breath. Vaping can too, although not as bad as smoking. The only thing I have to watch out for with tea is getting dehydrated.

Tea also has a nice soothing effect when vaping that most beverages do not offer

Me too. It makes the dry heat from the vapour not so bad.

I usually like music and video games while vaping :). Eating is fun too.

I never had bad breath from vaping, maybe cotton mouth a bit, but nothing that gave my vaping away.

A little bit off topic, but i wonder if vaping is harsher on the teeth and gums due to dry mouth? Or is smoke just still worse?

I love Chamomile with some honey. The warmth of the tea plus the sleepiness factor of Chamomile is great.

tea is to vaping like coffee is to cigarette

You do realise that he's drinking the tea not vaporizing it, right?

oops my bad. dont know how i misread that. perhaps because the Wikipedia page on vaporizers mentions the use of herbs including chamomile in the actual vaporizer itself. has anyone ever tried that by the way?

Well put. I actually have an electric tea kettle sitting on my desk next to my DBV, lol.

I like having a cup of yamamotoyama brand tokusen sencha along with my vapor, or some gyokuro i got through serendipitea if i'm feelin fancy. i might put a bit of honey in it now and then, but i usually drink it plain. A cup of Earl Grey with a bit of sugar is always nice too, I prefer drinking it when i'm re-vaping some ABV from the LB in my DBV (lol), as it has a more powerful flavor to over-power the ABV flavor, whereas the green teas mixes with the flavor of a fresh bowl perfectly. I guess it makes sense too, that green tea goes well with green herb and black teas go well with brown herb lol.

Aside from tea (or water if no tea is available), the only other thing I usually gotta have while vaping is some music. Some Spiritual Beggars, Opeth, Moonspell or something. Really anything that has a good groove or melody to it.

and yeah, after i'm done vaping, I'm either playing games or my guitar usually.

I really enjoy tea as well, especially for the dryness. Another thing I like to keep a stash of is honey sticks, seems to compliments the woody-ness of the taste.

I like to run a hot bath and read Science Fiction
or put on my Albert King/ Stevie Ray Vaughan DVD and play along with it on guitar
or watch the cricket on TV
Sadly, vaping doesn't go so well with chocolate biscuits. When I started vaping I stopped smoking tobacco after many years. This caused me to get fat, and I have had to cut back on sugar and fat.
Tea is good. By strange coincidence, I recently discovered Vanilla Rooibos tea, mentioned above, and it is my favourite atm. Peach flavoured iced tea is very nice in hot weather.
