They aren't completely dead by any means but i switch mine out for every bowl which can mean anywhere from 6 to 12 hits.

So I guess it's only a mater of time til I add this to the arsenal. For whatever reason I cannot get the solo to work with budder or wax yet. Maybe I did not put enough in to really notice. But I am loving the Revolution attachment for this thing...

Bluntcrush,
I've been following this thread for the past few days and I couldn't help myself. I just broke down and ordered the white Thermovape. I'll let everybody know my thoughts on it after I get it and put it to use. Super excited! I've been an Iolite user for eight months and it's treated me well. The vapor's definitely not as thick as I'd like. I've never really been able to pull hard enough to make me cough. But the thing that I always thought sucked about it was it's impossible to just get a couple quick hits. You have to wait a few minutes for it to heat up then when you turn it off it still cycles a couple times burning up good herb. What impresses me about the Thermovape is that you could take a single hit if you want and stick it right back in your pocket. Anyways I can't wait to try it out.

I'm a little surprised no one complains about battery life. Are you guys so infatuated with your new vape (which would be very understandable) or do you really don't mind swapping batteries for every bowl? Back when the Solo was just out there were a lot of complains about battery life, and that one does over 10 bowls on just a single charge.

I'm very curious about this vape and I love how this company presents itself in the forum, but personally I think that just one bowl/10 to 15 hits on a fully charged set of batteries is a bit ridiculous. I know I'd get tired of swapping and charging pretty quick.

Are there any long or short term plans to either make changes to the heater or the batteries to improve this substantially?

Also, not sure if you read this, but I'm kinda curious why Vaporninja has his TV for sale after owning it so shortly. He reported loving it just a day or two ago, I'm wondering what changed that?

I agree about the battery life, the whole tied to the charger concept was what made
me donate my MFLB. However, one set of batteries has served me well for each session.
I use my TV away from home, I would get tired of swapping for several home sessions.
I would bet the good folks at TV will consider the premise of a pass through system that
would possibly eliminate being tied to the batts. Instead, you could be tied to the outlet.
Time will tell, they were mighty quick to produce glass fitment pieces at our request...

So, yeah you are right. Infatuated indeed, blinded even. Where's my charger????

Understood, while it would be nice and all, it's that exactly what happens with the wildly popular MFLB? You get a trench from a fresh battery, maybe two if you push it? Guys do just fine with a couple trenches of ground bud and a couple of charged batteries. I'm betting same thing here.

I wouldn't hold my breath for great leaps in capacity in that format. The maker has done his homework IMO. He hammers that battery pack hard, so hard it can only make it to the end of the race. Anything bigger and heavier would be bigger and heavier. And the heater couldn't be made any smaller without performance cuts.

One last thought about Solo and other unit's you can't just swap new batteries into and keep going.....

Hey don't look to me for any advice on how to hold out, I failed. And I don't have a Solo, so can't help you there.

But what got me to jump (aside from self protection from the TV harassment...) was the confidence TV was going to make good on his concentrate unit that had no restrictions. Oils, waxes, bubble, taffy, shatter, budder, whatever. We're told they all work without issues. How cool is that?

Yeah battery life is the main deal for me. That is why i like WISPR. The butane is just easier for my lifestyle. But it does sound like the battery situation here may be more manageable.

I'm expecting that's exactly what I'll find too. I don't think SFG has the heart to tell a windy that big, at least I hope not.

However, IMO Iolite is a different beast. I use mine as a more relaxed way. Often take it into the garden to fire up. Like smoking the hubbly bubbly. I look forward to a relaxed session, not a quick toke or two. One is savoring a fine Single Malt rather than slamming down a couple of quick shots. Same but different.

I think a well rounded guy needs both.

How are we looking on that tracking info? Still haven't seen anything from your shop, and I don't want to leave if they're going to make a delivery attempt today. Any update is greatly appreciated.

Standby. I just a few minutes ago got the notice from Anthony (who does it), he's probably getting to you now? FWIW, mine's coming Priority Mail, other methods may be on a different schedule.

Hey, you really didn't want to interrupt TV while he's getting those Revolutions going did you?

Great, thanks for the update! I'll look out for it and appreciate any further insight from TV, if there is any. Don't let this slow down the Revolution! :D

Agreed. Only disappointment in my WISPR. Though I have adapted to love it as it is. I was hoping it would be a quick hit or two put it away. It is a ten to fifteen minute time commitment. I am good with that for now. But i would for sure love a quicker hitter in the lineup. But not a MFLB. The WISPR also taught me Chalky clouds and how medicated you are have little relationship.

Coming from using an LB in this slot i am pretty damn used to switching batteries for every bowl, however i am sure as shit looking foreward to getting 50 to 100 hits off of a pair of batteries with the revolution as that will obviously be WAY more convenient, i think with one more pair of batts (making 4 total pairs) i will have enough to get through just about any day out and about without charging anything (for my personal medicating habits)

Nothing. That is what Vaporninja does. He gets a new device and for a couple of days it is the best. vaporizer. ever! Then he gets bored with it and sells it. Since I "met" him (hi Hempy ) he's done this with the Inhalator (original version), the Vapman, the Solo, the MFLB, and now the ThermoVape, and those are just the ones I can remember. Do not take his change of heart as reflecting badly on the ThermoVape.

ETA the MFLB...

So the battery will do a 100 hits of concentrate?

Or the concentrate chamber holds a 100 hits worth of concentrate?

The battery will do 50 to 100 averaged per charge, which is going to be style dependent, everyone's inhalation time and technique is a litter (or a lot) different.

The chamber can easily hold >100 hits of certain types of concentrates. A little goes a long way, the revolution is more efficient then what else has been available so far (according to the beta testers).

Hey, we must be going to the same church.

I tend to load 1/8 ounce of top shelf bud (say 20mg of THC) with say 50mg bubble hash, doubling that. Most of that will vape out, but let's call it half. Ten mg is a great plenty if you're not showing off so I power down half way through and see how it goes. 10 maybe a few more minutes. When you light up that second half it takes a long time to get to stable production again....enjoy the wait. Then another bowl (two passes) before more gas.

A quick hit or two, no, not there. It's not it's intended use. Other vapes do that better.

However, as to "Chalky clouds and how medicated you are have little relationship" you've hit the nail squarely on it's proverbial head. Square on. The new guys should draw close, shut up, listen and grow wise. Bringing your expectations to the party really screws up the experience sometimes, don't it?

Let me get this straight. Four times 50 to 100 hits of concentrates will get you through just about any day? Two to four hundred. Hey, cowboy, I just changed my mind about partying with you.....you're way out of my league and that's for sure.

Been too long since I went 'to the city' I guess?

Wow that's a lot...

A few questions for TV:

Does the Revolution adapter effectively turn the ThermoVape into a conduction vaporizer to achieve 100 hits?

For people who vape concentrates exclusively, will the Revolution adapter be available with the main body without having to purchase a standard heater core that would never be used?

In a previous post you mention that boiling is the recommended method of cleaning the unit, and that cleaning with solvents will shorten the life of the heater core. By how much? Like from 3 years down to 6 months, or something less drastic? And will that still hold true for the upcoming Revolution heater core? And if one feels they must clean with a solvent, which solvent would be least offensive? IPA, acetone, naptha, or something else?

I guess I knew that, but what's the fun in that?

Waiting for the Revolution is going to be long enough as it is....... I wonder if TV is making progress?
