i have been if wondering if this vape would last longer with high capacity rechargeable batteries 880mAh. As i have order this vape and waiting for it to come. And seen it you only get 10 to 15 hit my hope was high capacity should give much more useage.

If you'd read this thread, you'd find half a dozen warnings about not using different batteries than TV supplies. The specified ones have unique chemistry and construction. Similar and 'superior' batteries simply aren't for this use. This includes the same maker's 900mAh units.

BTW, the charger is special, too.

Yesterday I tried an experiment that I promised to do.

I put a screen on top, next to the mouthpiece holes, and a screen under the herb, domed, above the heater. I also used the Revolution mouthpiece.

Experiment wasn't very successful. :/

The domed screen above the heater left too big of an air passage, and let too much air in. Clouds were wispy. Didn't work great at all.

Next experiment is just the screen by the mouthpeice, and Revolution tip. I hope I get a little more clouds that way, since I can pull harder, and not worry about particles being sucked out. Also I think having no screen in the bowl helps constrict the air, and retain a little more heat.

I'll know in a few hours if it works!

A screen placed in the top piece definitely alleviates any bits and pieces getting in your mouth. The ones I got just pop right in too but they do get clogged after a few bowls, I just take it out and scrape both sides with the back of a nail and its good.

Seems like you might be drawing to hard though Sessnet, I get wispy clouds when I draw hard (seems to fast) and get plumes when its a more gently but steady draw (more even heat), like sipping on a straw.

You are right, but I got used to pulling that hard/fast because of the Revolution mouthpiece, you have to! The hole is so small.

However, when I laid a bowl shaped screen on the bottom, it seems like too much air was being pulled in (and around) the herb, instead of through it.

I will try with just the top screen - in just a few minutes :)

When I tried the Revolution mouthpiece on my T1 I noticed more tunneling through the material, less even cooking. However, I got to thinking that this different pattern of heating might be better in a more humid environment, so before I give up on the mouthpiece, I am going to try it in different situations.

i took out my screen after a week of use... i find that with a screen, oil will start to build up between the screen and the upper holes so i just took it off and use the t1 as is... easy to clean if u wipe it down while its still warm...

on another note... when i first got the t1 kit and charged up the batteries it took at least 1hour30mins or so to charge up the set but its been little over two weeks and ive noticed that the charge up time for the batteries is like 30mins now give or take... does that mean my batteries are depleting/dying? and should i be looking into more batteries since i do not want to go without batteries... i dont want to have to go back to a lighter to get medicated while im out, as i told myself when i got my t1...FC

Here are 2 situations I did toady.

I turned on the shower really hot and after it warmed up I stepped in and before getting wet I used the TV.

When I arrived home and parked in my garage I got the idea to keep the heat on full blast while taking a hit from the TV.

Have you tried either one? Both worked out nicely for me.

For humidity tests I just open and run my indoor spa for a while without the house dehumidifier on. I have done many preheat tests and am having best results with preheated t1, cold, coarsely ground starting material, and used batteries. In fact I had just finished a bowl the other night and I said to myself "I wonder if I could get another bowl out of these batteries if I tried?" Well I tried and it worked great, better than the first, cold, bowl.

You man the heat in your car - or the ThermoVape?

Heat in my car was on as hot as it could go. The TV also got very warm very quickly. I could see the vapor when I exhaled too. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

I'm not sure if this is what you are doing or not, but you really shouldn't let your car run in a garage for any period of time longer than it takes to pull in or out. The fumes man! :uhoh: I've left my car running in my garage by accident and even just running in to turn it off I got really lightheaded and felt horrible.

So, after everything, and being excited to try my next experiment with screens, I pulled out my ThermoVape.

It felt lighter, and hollow, when I pushed the switch up.

Took me about 1 second to realize - I forgot to put the batteries in when I left home...

Hello this is my first post and would like to say hi to the community. I have been reading this thread and checking online tracking every half hour for my thermovape but until than I had some ideas that I really think TV should produce.

The TV water attachment for on the go vapor bonging.
IMG_5583.jpg
(I changed the orientation but idk why its sideways but you get the idea.)

Another idea is a power cord that can be placed in the battery compartment so when your at home you do not have to be using batteries to vape.

I cannot wait to try out my TV :brow: FedEx taking for ever :uhoh: (its been 5 days since I placed the order last thurs.)

USB power adapter is in the works already as well as GONG water pipe adapter.

I'm new to this forum and the vaping community in general. I have never owned a vaporizer myself and am on the verge of ordering one. However, I do have some questions about the ThermoVape:

1. I understand the heat core is consumable, what is the average life for this unit and how often would I be looking to replace this?

2. I'm debating between TV and Wspr, and the only reason I'm considering wspr is because i would like to vape some pipe tobacco and it seems that the wspr would be ideal for this purpose. I know the iolite is definitely suited for tobacco. Has anybody else tried to vape tobacco in the TV? Is it suited for this purpose? I don't want to get into the ecig bandwagon.

3. Vapornation is offering various other perks if I were to purchase the TV from them. But if I do this, would I be missing out on any perks the company has and if i were to have any issues with my unit would I be stuck dealing with Vapornation or would TV people take up the responsibility?

4. How long do the batteries last? not as in per session but the overall life? I know its dependent on use but has anybody ran into problems with batteries after a month or two? A friend of mine got a MFLB two months ago & his batteries are definitely not at all what they use to be in the first week.

5. Is the TV a better option over the wspr?

I would love any feedback or advice, as I am very involved at my university community and always find it to be a hassle to be discrete and always find myself going out of the way just to avoid any stigma. I know I shouldn't care but my positions with various student organizations demand a certain perception among the faculty.
But at the same time i don't want to buy something so expensive and not fall in love with it.

I would love to hear OF's opinion, he seems very knowledgeable

1: Like any other filament heating element the lifespan depends on amount and severity of use. Aside from our 3 month warranty on all cores, they are built with the most stringent of standards to assure the longevity of each core.

2: One of our employees actually has been using the T1 with Pipe Tobacco, it has served his needs and requirements without any side effects compared to any other material being vaporized.

3: We honor any purchases of our products through any of our distributors, If you have a problem you can either contact us directly or our distributor.

4: The batteries we use have the capacity to be charged over 1000 times, They also have a *edit* 3 month warranty through Tenergy.

5: Two of our main advantages are that our unit is completely silent and it will work at any elevation or humidity.

Cheers,
ThermoVape
Sorry guys, I was incorrectly informed when i originally posted this, The warranty on the batteries is a 3 month not a 1 year. This was also before i had my own Forum name so in the future i will only be posting as myself.

Again sorry for the confusion.

Thank you
Tim

Got my T1 just a little while ago and I must say that I am impressed, but I did notice that the smaller plant material was being sucked in lol, to remedy this I inhaled slowly. I am probably going to place a screen in between my mouthpiece and top cap so I can draw quicker) I already went through my first set of batteries and using my second. (1 pairs batteries = about 1 bowl). I personally would prefer the plant material to have vaped quicker, perhaps a slightly stronger heating element, though it gets the job done. (It could have been because my buds were on the moister part of the spectrum because I keep my buds in the 72% humidity humidapack glass container. The buds are less than 72% because a few days ago I took some out and put them in the plastic container I get them in.) I will continue using this vaporizer and get a better assessment of the T1's capabilities. The build quality is robust and aesthetically pleasing in a sleek small discrete design. Thanks for a portable worth buying. Happy V-Day

Congrats.

Since this guy is power limited, it doesn't make sense to waste it drying out the bud. I like to go on the dry end of things and think that's where the best rapid delivery in the T1, MFLB, Log Vapes and so on comes that way. Fine grind also helps since it's surface area that counts. More heat might be useful (I'm not sure if it would still be under control?) but would probably kill the batteries all the faster. And we're close to just barely enough battery to do a bowl as it is.

Anyway, enjoy your new machine. I agree, it's keen. And give a couple of bowls (say 1/8 gram each??) dry a try. You have to dry it one way or another before you can vape it anyway, right?

Thanks OF,

The whole philosophy behind why I keep my buds in a high humidity environment because it helps prolong the taste compared to dry buds because I buy in bulk. Also I usually vape at home in a desktop style vape so I did not need to be concerned about humidity (also because it has temp control). These bowls were just out of excitement lol and I already came to the conclusion of using dry buds prior to even receiving my TV and therefore I placed them back into the plastic containers.

I mentally went to through the test stages, if they used more heat then it would be difficult for novice users, but if you just do brief periods of heating to regulate the hot air I think that would work but I think TV team probably found that it would cause the unit to be hot to the touch and therefore used a slightly less powerful heating element and also to factor in the battery life decrease. (It would be an interesting comparison between the increase in heating power + less battery time compared to the current model as far as how many bowls it can go through before the batteries die at the relatively same level of cannabonoid extraction (similar browning of the bowls).)

Thanks for the informative posts you continuously contribute to this thread and community as a whole. I hope that many more of our needs will be addressed by TV.

Understood about the drying part. While my treatment of herb has changed since I stopped combusting, I too keep bud on the moist side until I'm ready to use it. I pull a few grams at a time out and let it dry down for a day or two before grinding it up in a coffee grinder and putting it in small vials for use in the upcoming few days. Most of the tastes seems to survive, and it vapes well in any of several devices.

I've also had similar thoughts. A hot rod for guys that can handle it....or think they can. In the end I'm not sure about battery life, either. It's kind of counter intuitive but consider that they whole idea of (super hot) wok cooking is to save fuel...... I have every confidence TV has either explored this and found it a dry well, found it promising and is working on it, will get to it when they get the time, are holding the release of the new product for reasons best known only to them or any combination of those....or others. That is, if it can be made to work, I bet they make it happen.

Thanks very much for the kind words, but maybe you've got us confused for two other guys?

Hey, enough of wasting time on the web.....don't you have some important testing to be doing?

So basically an inline water filter similar to the aqua vape but smaller and able to use it on the thermovape? This is exactly what I've been thinking about in my head since I got it. I have the aqua vape for my log vape but a small one would be an instant buy if it was made for the TV. Inline water filtration!!

How many hits before you put them in the charger ? maybe you're not using the batteries all the way thru the end.. run the batteries with an empty bowl, and then once it is completely out time how long charging takes.. anything less than 1 - 1,5 hrs is no good.. also when you run the fully charged battery it should go somewhere between 4-5 minutes at least. and if you are a heavy user like me, I'd suggest buy some extra batteries. when I am out of town for the weekend, 3 sets of batteries are never enough, and it is annoying to worry about constant charging..

The glass could be shaped so that it can exactly match the star tipped Delrin top cap and extend below to all the way down with holes for air entry and on/off control, with a slit on the side of the base so that a power cord can come out of the bottom of the unit if they ever do come up with a plugin battery replacement. I have numerous different ideas on this lol but it would also be good to have a thin rubber sleeve on top of the Delrin so that the glass has a tight fitment.

Here is my best try at depicting what I am saying haha, I am sure with a little more time one could find improvements to the design (btw my batteries are charged :ko:)
IMG_5585-1.jpg

(hint hint you MARKET SEGMENTS has a high demand for water filtration )

Enough of day dreaming, its a great portable product and suggest anyone to try one. It has its cons but they are understandable in that its a give and take type of thing. If a stronger heater or bigger battery it would add bulk to the portability.
