Discontinued ThermoVape

Very interesting unit. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these. My favorite go-to vaporizer at the moment is the MFLB. I think this might be an upgrade in some ways in that it should allow for more even extraction from the herb through convection rather than conductive heating.

I'd really love to here some pro & cons comparing this unit to the MFLB.

Hello, I wish to congratulate the ThermoVape crew on an excellent design, and the perseverance to see it through to production! I greatly admire your work and your open participation in the forums.

Please expedite arrangements for a European distributor and/or re-seller.

Cheers!

Please send us your suggestions for a euro distributor, we would be more then interested.

Thank you for your kind words.

I did write you an email at info@thermovape speaking about that...A few days ago! No answer yet...

So it has been several days with my new TV. As I stated before, the design and the build quality
are top shelf. The unit works very well, better than my MFLB ever did. I count on using a fresh
pair of batts. for each session. The unit will be quite warm after use, but not uncomfortably so.
The bowl capacity is less than a Solo stem's worth of herb. Don't have a scale, so lets just say
it does not take very much to do the trick. Can we talk about FLAVOR! The TV generates the
cleanest tasting vapor that I have found in a portable. I have not mastered the huge cloud
factor, yet. The TV is quick to medicate, as SF stated. It takes a little practice to find the proper
pull speed for good delivery. Make no mistake, I thought the whole battery issue would be pain
in the ass. Just figure on having a fresh set in the charger. They send you 3 pairs with the kit.
Charge time is pretty quick. The ABV comes out a bit lighter than my Solo produces. I threw a
bit of hash in with some herb and the TV handled the salad with ease. Definitely looking forward
to the Revolution setup. If you are on the fence, buy it. If you are tired of wispy, wood flavor,
buy it. I will try it through water and report back. All told, the Thermo Vape was a solid addition
to my arsenal of vapes. Good Work TV!!!!!

It does help to "stir" the bowl for better extraction. However, this can be done with a good shake
of the unit. I don't bother to unscrew the top. The mouthpiece side will collect some abv bits.
No problem, simply remove the cap, and BLOW through it. The toasted bits blast right away.

I' can't find any graphic content about its airpath and there didn't seem to be much related information available by reading the "User Guide" document as published on the ThermoVape web site.

Please suggest other documents as applicable...

We discussed the airpath a page back.
"True Convection: The ThermoVape is a convection vaporizer. The outside air is forced/driven through the heater core. This heats the air which then passes directly through the herbal/blend/botanical in the bowl. Some small element of conduction is present in all convection vaporizers, but this is a true convection vaporizer. It will vaporize with a cold (sub-vaporization temp) bowl."

I'll go back and look through the emails (we have been receiving a couple hundred a day, more then we anticipated this early) and try and find it, it must of got lost in the shuffle. We are definitely in need of a European distributor. If it would not be too much trouble send me an email to sales@thermovape.com. I'll personally keep an eye out for it.

Thank you!

Love the review, I am of course totally biased and nonobjective, that said, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on the ThermoVape. Very glad it is working well for you, also excited to hear about how it runs for you through water.

Nvm just got the email literally right after I posted this great service!

Why you guys are posting on this forum about tracking numbers is beyond me

That's because I ordered Thursday night, and I still haven't receive my tracking info yet. I only got an email saying it's sent and tracking info will be sent when it's available :/ Just checking to see if I'm the only one with such bad luck here.

I live in an apartment building, theft/loss of packages happens very often, by tracking the package is the only way I can to prevent this from happening.

Wil the new attachment handle harder substanses, like hash?

It will handle any concentrate from thin oils to solid herbal concentrates.

I'm trying to get an idea how large the holes in the bowl are, can the end of a retractable pen fit in them?

Just under 1/32 of an inch = 0.75mm.

you have to replace the batts after every session?

this alone makes this vape far from portable, as who wants to haul around hella batteries for a whole day or two or three of vaping on the go?

The most popular portable, the MFLB requires a pocket full of batteries.

From completely drained, how long will the batteries take to charge? I've been following the thread from the beginning but don't recall seeing it. Sometimes my eyes get kind of swelled though :ko:

Edit*
After reading the manual again I see 90 minutes or less.

30 to 60 minutes (the longer charge time is if you are using the car charger option).

30 to 60 minutes is what most people will experience as the batteries are not usually ran until they are totally dead (the longer charge time is if you are using the car charger option).

How do you clean the portion under the bowl when herb dust inevitably gets inside of it?

It can be rinsed with water, or boiled.

very cool, so all the parts can be cleaned this way then? sans the batteries obviously

MY big issue with portables so far has been need the ability to clean the device 100% for travel

Some folks go from medical state to medical state without very many friendlies in-between...
