THIS IS ONLY A TEST. KTHX!
These are photobucket images... I am seeing them posted here, when it is known that there is no longer 3rd party image sharing. All of my older posts still show no image, but it seems these function. If anyone sees "no image" here let me know.
test from imgbox.com
test from imgur
imgur still broken
The very simple solutions to this problem is to not use imgur until they relent or change their policy. It is a stupid excuse to blacklist FC anyway and I am NOT installing an addon just so I can view imgur pics. Imgur offers nothing that the other image hosters don't, and they are only hurting themselves by blocking a huge number of advertising opportunities.
Sometimes we have to vote with our feet, folks. It's a good lesson. Most of the time I just see the image tag I don't bother going out of my way to see it so posters that continue to use imgur are just limiting their audience. Entirely up to them.
So, just as a data point, here is a tinypic test post I made here in the sandbox thread soon after joining this forum in 2014 that is still available, so tinypic is no fly by night hoster...
Never posted a link before, just wanted to make sure it worked!
You ain't doing too good, @Vitolo.
Is that the silver surfer?
Yes it is.
I feel like this is trying to break me mentally........
How can I help?
Explain to me,like I am simpler than dirt now to post a picture.
Imgur will not work on my tablet.
First, don't use imgur, it is broken on this site. Use tinypic.com or imgbb.com
In the post above I took your picture url and copied it to my clipboard, than pasted it into the image window you get by clicking the 5th icon from the right in the compose window. If you hover over that icon it says "Image"
When you use tinypic or other hoster, you want the BBCode link (Tiny calls it IMG code for forums) and all you need do is post that directly in your post. It will look like this, without the space in the image tags.
[I MG]http://i63.tinypic.com/21n1af7.jpg[/I MG]
Take out those spaces and it does this...
so using imgbb.......which BBC code?
Tried several and nada........
Separate names with a comma.
